Saturday, Feb 18, 2006

I played for a while this afternoon. Not too long of a session or anything. Biggest highlight: Pixie ducking clipper! Ya, that seemed really nice. I guess my pixies are getting a bit better. I almost ducked my flip pixie set, but couldn't quite get it. Oh well.

Other than that I didn't really do a whole lot of anything. I footed spinning flapper a few times . . . but it just wasn't really there.

Um, I guess that's about it. *shrugs*

Saturday . . . it's evening now!

ok, I had an hour session after supper. I messed around with some challenges and hit:
ducking clipper BSOS pixie clipper > ducking clipper > mirage > toe whirl > ducking clipper > hand catch

spinning clipper BSOS - spinning clipper (flip) > butterfly > mirage > whirl > spinning clipper (strong) > tiltless run

I also ducked a few more strong pixies and tried to link three double dexes but didn't quite make it. Yet.

Um... I think that's about . . . wait!
Alternating clipper - 28
Alternating Legover - 18

Ok, that's really it. I think. My highlights are on my laptop . . .

Had a short session tonight. I much feel like blogging so this is gonna be short. Figured I should at least let you know that I still play... occasionally.

I worked on DATW's. I hit my strong on lots, and got it on the flipside a few times. I couldn't it on my strongside in the "wrong" direction though. I didn't even try it on the flipside going the wrong way.

I cool little combo osis>flapper>osis I liked how it felt, and I felt that the osis had to be controlled in order to flapper out of it, also the flapper had to be good to be able to the op foot under and osis out. I think I hit tamahawk, but it doesn't matter becasue my flip whirl still sucks. I need to devote another session to it.

That was pretty much it. My stamina sucks. I need to work on that. I guess I need to session MORE often and push my self harder little by little.

I got three new bags recently. I can't get photobucket to work... They rock.

Freestyle reality was really awesome. You should buy it.

I guess I felt more like blogging than I thought I did.

I played for just over an hour tonight.

It was fun. I worked on Butterfly>Paradox mirage and managed to get through it twice (4 contacts). I also worked on my flip out>in dex moves. Illusion especially. It sucks. I hit like 6 flip illusions in a row, I think that's a new record for me.

I didn't really work on much else. Seems like I should have, but oh well.

I think my shin splints are begining to show there evil face again. I should put my insoles back in.

A weird thing happened between last night and this morning.

Last night when I went to sleep my three new bags weren't broken in. This morning when I left for school I just grabbed them and put them in my pocket. I just took one out and it's entirely brocken in. Then I took the other two out and they are too!!

That's crazy. I'm confused. I think the break-in fairy visited me last night.

I got a new footbag this morning. A teacher of mine gave it to me. It's a Bend it like Beckham promo bag. Totally crap quality and he new it wouldn't be a good bag when he gave it to me, but it's cool for the collection. It's a thirty panel black and white (soccer ball) and it says Bend it like Beckham on on panel, on video and DVD09-30-03 on another and made in china on another.

Yesterday I lost my job.

After school I went home and got changed for work. The phone rang. It was my boss (former boss..) He told me had bad news... The Meat Shop had shut down. My employment was terminated. We made arragments to get the last of pay and a ROE, then said goodbye. I held myself together pretty well, until I hung up. Then the thought of THE TRIP entered my mind. I've planning on going on a trip with a bunch of friends, but I was relying on having my employment to pay for it. For a 17 year old guy in my school... not many jobs'll pay what my old did. THIS SUCKS.

For a while I thought my trip would have to be cancelled. The trip is really all I've thought about lately. It made me the happiest I've been in a long time... or at least my mom said that it did. I cried with the thought of not going. For real.

I know now that I will go on that trip. I told my best fried that I might not get to go and she told me that she would give me money so I could go. She won't let me not go. It's nice to be loved. My mom and step dad are now planning to pay for the trip so all I'll have to pay for is food and shopping money. It's awesome. I plan to pay them back. I hate being in debt. I've never really been in debt before. It's amazing how many people care about me. I put that I lost my job and wasnt going on the trip in my MSN name and then left with it on away status. When I came back there were two messages from people saying that I HAVE to go on the trip, and one from an older friend offering me a job. I'm well looked after. I love my life.

Thanks for reading.

PS After school I'm going to look for a job.

I'm going on a big Bus tour starting in Toronto, then going to Niagra Falls, then Washington, DC, then New Jersey/ New York, up though New York State, the Thousand Islands and then back to Toronto.

I went on the same trip in 2004, only it was my family. So not as much fun as with a bunch of friends. I made some friends on the last trip, but going with friends will be SO good. I'm gonna go. I know I will.

I didn't have to time to look for a job today. Truthfully I kinda like not having a job. Or at least I will until I realive I'm not making an money.

Anyways, I gotta go. Do something... with all this time...

Do I!

I'll have to see what my schedule is like. If it's just like last time then I'll only have one free evening in Toronto. If I do have that, what the chances of you meeting me at the Hotel I'm at? If you're willing to come there I am totally down for shredding with you. Also if the rest of FAT show's up that would be great. It's been way to long since I played with other shredders.

Woo! This could be awesome!

Last time I did this trip we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, by the Airport. I assume it would be the same place, but I'll let you know the details later, as I get them. It would be so sweet to get a session going at the Hotel. I'm even more stoked for this trip now!!!

I love footbag!!!!

I'm getting really excited that I might get to meet and shred with all you guys!!

In other news... I got a letter from the bank today... my last pay check bounced. My former boss now owes me over $600, but I'm not gonna get that... If I get anything it'll only be a fraction of it, and it'll take a long time to get it. I'll have to go through The Bank and it'll take FOREVER. I hate banks. And I hate my boss.

I had a session tonight. Mostly worked on my consec records so here's my new ones:

 47 alt inside stalls (old was 21)
 7 flip mirages (old was two)
 5 flip illusions (old was 2)
 7 alt fairys (old was 2)
 11 alt pickups (old was 4)
 3 ducking clippers

I sort of worked on paradox mirage... but not much. I was in a pretty bad news. I got the letter from the bank right as I was starting my session. Not cool.

Thanks brian!

I had a session last night. Wasn't too great, but I accomplished a thing or two.

 Flip Spinning Clipper x2 - first time really linking flip spin!
 pickup>Dimwalk>p. Mirage
 butterfly>spinning clip> butterfly > dropped spinning clipper

Not much, but it was something. I ended up with some sore shin's after that session. I think I'm gonna try to put my extra insoles back in and hope that will help for today's session. :?

Just got done a pretty good session. I worked on alot of flip clipper stuff and it is starting to feel REAL good.

Near the beggining of the sesh I hit flip spinning clipper x2 again. I was happy with that.

Other good stuff:
 tons of flip swirls!!
 Some good solid flip WHIRLS!
 Whirl>opp butterfly>rpt 8O
 quite a few wirls on my strongside.

Hmm... it seemed like more than that.. But I guess that's all.

My shin splints suck!

I had a pretty sweet session at school today. I'm doing a little film project in my Creative Writing class, and naturally I'm doing it on Footbag. Anyways, I kinda practicing for that and was planning to bail hard on a PS Whirl at the end of the film. So I was practicing the motion and finding that it was really easy to bail since I couldn't hit the move at all. Then I started to get so I was actually footing it. So I started really trying to hit and not purposely bail. I footed it a BUNCH of times and then finally hit. I yelled YES so loud that the Vice Principal came out of his office and asked if I hit something new. So I hit it for him first try. :D It started to feel real natural and seems just as easy as a Parodox Whirl now. AWESOME! I actually came really close to hitting it with pants on, it just rolled off. Most of the time I seeled it with a hand catch, but got osis out of it once.

For some reason I got the idea to try a DUCKING PS Whirl... and footed it first try. Then I footed a hundred more times before, finally hitting:

 MY FIRST SIX ADD!

I was extatic. I only sealed it once, but I'll get it again. Unfortunatley whirl still is extremely hard on my flipside  I need to work on that!

I also hit symposium whirl for the first time too, but that seem insignificant when next to PS and Ducking PS Whirl.

Parodox whirl>Whirl>symposium whirl would have been cool, but I could never quite hit the symposium at the end. Ussually I would just get confused and plant out of sheer habit.

Highlights:
 PS WHIRL
 DUCKING PS WHIRL
 PS WHIRL > osis
