Luis, that was a pic that Joe Crain took and sent to me. Maybe he has more on his site?

Yesterday I gave a demonstrative speech for a public speaking class. I knew all of the material well, and rehearsed so I knew I was going to do fine.

The goal was to inform my audience how to start playing footbag.
I. Intro
I. Hacky Sack= brand name
II. Show video clip of footbag
III. Beginning stuff = equipment, kicks, stalls, basic tricks.

II. Equipment
I. Shoes
II. Bag - cheap, sand, floppy, no chicken scratching
III. Pants vs. shorts

III. Kicks
I. Flat foot
II. Open hips
III. straight up and both sides (with everything in footbag)

IV. Stalls
I. Toe
II. Inside
III. Outside

V. Show basic tricks
I. ATW
II. Legover
III. Mirage
IV. Clipper
V. Do a tiltless string

VI. Ending:
I. Talk about how playing with more experienced players helps and that they are excited to have new people who are interested in learning.
II. Yada yada, consider trying to get some good equipment, try some kicks, stalls, and maybe even the basic tricks.

It went *pretty* well. After this six minute presentation, I had to ask if there were any questions. Two people raised their hands right away. :-)
I called on the first one: "Do you smoke a lot of pot?"
Me: "No. Next question."

Then the other questions were good. Way to be a jerk, I gave a good presentation (aside from being a little nervous after the intro) and the first question is if I smoke pot. Whatever. :-)

Heheh you gotta love those jackasses in the audience. Sounds like you did a good job though! :D

I took a Public speaking class last semester and we had to give a demonstrative speech along with a demonstration with it (yeah go figure, "demonstrative" speech). Anyways I chose Footbag and made a how-to video with it; just on toe stall, inside stall, and clipper. I remember the class goin' crazy when I presented it.

but anyways, yeah, good job

KAMIL. :D

Upon review of the tape of the demonstrative speech, I did great! I felt a lot more nervous than I looked. I didn't varry my vocal pitch enough, and there are a few other little things that I could improve on, but all in all it went very well.

The question and answer part where he asked if I smoked was fine because I answered with a smile, not in a rude way. I honestly didn't remember the way I said "no" to him. :-)

Wednesday: Session in the shred garrage.
I feel like it was a pretty light session for me but I rember breathing hard and my heart racing a lot. Or at least a few times. :-P

25 infinity style clip>clip
dyno>dyno>ss mirage - could have looked a little nicer. It will.

I forgot to that last Sunday I did 22 infinities, beat my record by one. Stupid one. :-)

You've always got my back.

And Stephen, I'll get my number up if you do.

Friday hung out with Nate and Jeremy before sending him off to Vegas for the weekend. My roommates Jennie and Jason, Fletcher, and Jeremy were all out of town. So I was especially glad that Nate was in town. :-) Saturday night we went to Steve's and after a short session, Nate, Steve and I played 2-square. Surprise, Steve won. After soaking in the hot tub, having some pizza, margaritas, and a few long conversations, we went to sleep. :)

On Sunday morning we picked Jeremy up from the airport, had some delicious breakfast (thank you Nate). We hot tubbed it up Gary Coleman style, then sun dried on the roof. Nate did some push-ups on the downward slanting roof; impressive. Dustin arrived and we started playing footbag.

far dyno strong side- 1st time. Felt way too easy. :-)

Oh yeah, and reverse whirl bsos on Sunday.

Today I kicked with Jeremy and Nate for a few minutes. They're still kicking, but I'm done. I did some dyno practice. I did some clipper>clipper (inf. style) and I thought I did 35 but Nate said 34. Either way, I really like them. I did clipper>drifter rpted 3-ish times. Little energy, little stamina. But I had wanted to play all day.

Hey. After this weekend I'm going to have a hard time accessing Modified for the next few weeks. If you want/need to get in touch with me, e-mail me (click the e-mail button below) and I'll try to check that once a week.

Also, my phone is out of minutes until the 11th, so I'm just going to leave it at home or off. If you need to get in touch with me, leave a message and I'll check that once in a while.

There is supposed to be a session in SC this weekend on Sunday, and maybe Sat, but it's supposed to rain so I'm not sure what's going to happen. I'm not in charge of it, so I don't need to worry about it.
