Hey! I have a blog!

I don't know why I havn't been keeping up with this, I don't want to give the impression nothing is going on in my life, the opposite is actually true.

Perhaps I havn't been writing in here because SO much has been happening.

My life is so good, really.

I will recap some of the goodness that has been going on for anyone that still reads my blog.

1) I got my IRON RING.

I know that statement means absolutely nothing to basically everybody on here, but all my Canadian engineering homeboys know what I am talking about and why it is so important.

The iron ring is a simple ring worn on the pinky finger of the working hand that represents a whole bunch of metaphors and shit that I won't get into but is there to basically remind you to be a good engineer. Every Canadian engineer gets one when they graduate and it is a big exciting thing to look forward to.
The ring has unbelievable powers including the ability to leap tall buildings, part the seas, make the sun rise at any time, orient the stars in any arrangement you desire, stop time, turn water into wine, do backflips, punch holes in trees, become the incredible hulk, become invisible, speak in any language, plus many more.

2) We have completed the footbag shoe project!
Myself and one other groupmate presented our work for the last time yesterday to an audience of professors and industry people. Duncan Toys is planning on actually making the shoe!! Yeah! I'm serious!
More on that later.. I am not sure why I have been keeping all this to myself...

3) The KFM is EXPLODING with new newbies!!
Pengpeng and I have been working hard promoting the club and giving out cards all the time and people are really getting into it.

4) Pengpeng!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HOW DID I GET SO LUCKY???????
What a dream come true! Her and I have SO much fun together ALL THE TIME! It's the best!! She makes such pretty footbags and keeps the footbag selling stuff so organized, I would be lost without her. I am so thankfull and appreciative of all the things she does, what a girl!!!!

I got a fortune cookie the other day that said "You attract all that you need and most of what you want." and that statement seems to be very true.

I was walking along with Peng the other day thinking that it was unfortunate that I was broke... then I looked down and found a 20 dollar bill on the ground! :D 8O

When I got my iron ring it was in this big fancy ceremony that I can't talk about (seeeeeecret) that was particularly special for me. My dad is a Canadian who is also an engineer, however he got his degree at Berkely which is in California so he never got an iron ring. He was elligible so at the ceremony he got ringed (you get 'ringed' by another engineer that already has their ring) and then turned and ringed me! It was awesome!

When my parents came up for the ceremony they also brought with them my full size trampoline!! YEAHH!!!!
My plan was to put it in the back back room in my apartment. I have the greatest apartment of ALL TIME with two abandoned rooms that branch off from my room. They aren't supposed to be accessible, but I took the door off and found my way in.
Anywho, the first back room is my shred room and the second back room is MASSIVE, the ceilings are at least 16 feet high.
The problem I have right now is that the room isn't quite as wide as the trampoline.. so I am in the process of taking apart the walls to make it fit, then I will have the ulitmate play room with a fucking trampoline in it!

Uhhh... oh yeah! footbag!

I am getting alot better!

I have lots of shitty sessions like everyone else, but occasionally I have an absurd session that gets me insane stoked.

Ive been playing alot as usual, I am working on genuine guiltless.

I don't know what to say. Some people just blab on and on about footbag and their game and what they're working on.. I don't know what I am supposed to be talking about.

I don't know how people remember such specific details of their sessions. Ken goes on and on about how he did this and then worked on that and then hit this and so on.. why don't I remember those kinds of details? Ah well.

I think alot of people WAY overthink footbag and what it means to them and the role it plays in their life. If you like it, do it, if you don't, don't. That's seriously all there is to footbag.

I think all the overthinking people are doing is just throwing them off. Maybe I am overthinking now.. bleh.

Oh yeah, all the footbags Ive made lately have been FUCKING CHOICE!!

If you want a bag that is guaranteed to break in beautiful and fast then get one of mine.

I am hungry, enough of this stupid blog shit.

Maybe one day I will make my blog not-suck again. ... meh.

Mosher congrats on getting your ring! While I'm an American engineer, I do know the story with the Tacoma Narrows bridge and your little Canadian tradition, and it's a pretty big deal so props! That is so bad ass that your shoe will go to market. CONGRATS! Glad to hear things are going your way and that the club is growing. It's all awesome news.

Hate to be a bitch, but... You owe me a bag... I ordered it a while ago... It sounds like you've been busy with life in general so I understand.

Tom Mosher, ladies and gentlemen. Men want to be him, women want to be near him, and his unorthodx mannerisms/philosophies bring the world to its knees. Haha. Keep walking on those clouds, man. Congratulations!

Mmmmmmmm Iron Ring! Congratulations!

2 or 3 years yet until I get mine. I'm going to wear it on my penis. Come to Alberta and get filthy oil rich!

PS: I'de like to talk to you some more about the engineering of the footbag shoe if possible.

Taishi is in Kingston for the weekend to shred with me and the KFM!!

Yay!

We've been having LOTS of fun playing footbag and going to the arcade and other stuff.

Here are some shred highlights of mine:
- far motion>dlo bsos
- PLASTICMAN!!!!
- torque>blurry whirl bs
- barfly>torque rpt first try!
- pixie paradon>blurriest first try
- pdx torque>ripwalk!!
- uhh... other stuff most likely

Unlike Ken I don't remember every single move I hit and what I was thinking about and where the sun was in the sky and what time it was and how I smelled and what bag I was using (undoubtedly a Mosher though  )... etc.

I was sooooo close to fury both sides too!

Taishi hit some good stuff too, like:

- pdx dlo bsos
- lots of PS whirls
- REALLY close to montage!!

Derrick is still really good, he was hitting lots of crazy shit as usual, he has such good flow and control.

Pengpeng was shredding hard all day too!
She hit BSOS ss mirages and BSOS clippers and she's been working hard on alot of concepts.
I am so excited that she is progressing and learning new stuff and enjoying footbag so much!
She is starting to get a real nice flow and good style.

We filmed yesterday and we will film more tomorrow and a movie will get made eventually, yippeeee!!

Oh yeah, and Tim was there!! Tim has LOTS of potential!! I hooked him up with some lavers today so I think he's on the right track.
Tim is a new newbie that has been working his toe stalls and clippers and he even hit his first butterfly!!

Yay footbag!

It looks like I may be forced to miss some of GRASS due to a family sitch that I can't prevent.. we will see.

There are so many people that will be there that I want to go shred with.

Fingers crossed!
