I've been drilling clippers quite a bit recently, and I threw together a video that has my doing them consecutively. I'm looking to be critiqued to a pulp so I can improve whatever needs to be improved. I just want to be sure I'm not learning moves incorrectly.
I was going to post this in Trick Tips, but since there are a few strings at the end (tiltless, what what) I threw some music behind it and am putting it in here.
Dave, it looks good man! I think supposedly if you can hit a trick 10 times consecutively then you have mastered it...so there ya go. Move on to butterflies if you haven't already. I really like that you are doing everything flipside. Keep it up, it's worth it!
looks pretty similar on flipside except for speed. try drilling clipper>ss clipper>opp clipper>ss clipper>opp clipper>ss clipper and once you get that do clipper>ss clipper>ss butterfly>opp butterfly>ss clipper>ss butterfly>opp butterfly rpt.

Dude Dave, me and you have like the exact same shred style and skill level! Clippers are lookin' real nice man! Tiltness shred is very smooth and controlled! Good job man, watchin' you play is like watchin' myself! Awesome shit.
nice. I've acctually been doing alot of that exact same drill l8ly... ss clippe>ss clipper type stuff. It's fun to do! ....unlike all other footbag tricks ...
Thanks for all the comments/props guys! (Though I'm now regretting the fact that I put 'tiltless' in the body, as I think it cut the amount of the potential viewers ) I don't think I'm very smooth/controlled, but I'm very glad to hear some of you think so..because that's one of my major concerns.
@Jeremy: I don't know about "mastering" a trick after hitting it 10 sides consecutively...I've definitely done that with many tricks, but consistency has a ton to do with it too
@Funk: I'm mos' def' going to try those drills..they sound a lot more fun that clipper > ss clipper > rpt til death/drop (whatever comes first).
@Jorden: That post is definitely influencing my game; I try to focus on form as much as possible. Though a problem I'm encountering right now is the direction of my toe (which should be inward)..it's very hard to me to focus on all the aspects of a clipper AND the direction that my toe points. Everytime I think about which way my toe is pointing I forget about crank or whatever the case may be and I drop the bag This issue of multiple focus is something my friend Brett believes is analogous to playing the piano. I'm working on it though.
1st off, clippers much better than before, or so it appears. Try to hit clippers to an interlal rhythm that you keep in your head. Make sure that the rhythm is not fast- err on the slow side in order so that you have time to hit each clipper with a solid delay and a slow release. Really focus on keeping your ankle cranked throughout the delay and the set. Don't let that ankle go limp at all, which brings me to critique #2:
2nd off, on your illusions both sides, it appears as if your ankle/foot is flopping around in the air during the dex. You should get rid of that extraneous movement in your foot because it hinders dex speed, look sloppy, and puts more strain on your nearest joint that supports those structures (knee probably).
3rdly, definitely focus on standing pretty erect when you're playing so as to eliminate that hunched over style.
4thly, Continue to develop your tiltless game until basically any combination of tiltless elements/tricks does not pose a challenge for you. While you are doing so, start to skool guiltless concepts you're interested in learning (drifter, eggbeater, dlo, ducking (toe or clipper set), torque, etc.)
5th off, I'd say dont rush into learning a great variety of sets. it is probably more important to lay a good foundation first. If there is a set you want to learn now, and you fee like it will come pretty natural to you, go ahead an skool it. But dont waste your time trying to learn something now that you should wait to skool in another year or so.

@Jeremy: Thank you SO much! That's exactly the type of response I was looking for. I take all those comments to heart, and will keep them in mind during every moment of shred.
@Tad: I believe that was filmed with an Abshire..but I'm the owner of a Mirken which is still in the break-in process.
