SF is dead. You should try Santa Cruz, they play all the time. If you are lucky, they might call you a half hour before the session starts.

Have fun !

OOOOOOOOOOOR, you could actually make a call to us yourself and not expect US to extend an invitation to every one of our sessions. In fact, maybe if we do ever kick in the same location, you might actually shred WITH us instead of playing somewhere off by yourselves. Thats really some incentive for us to invite you down. And as you of course realize, every weekend session we have is an open invitation for ANY freestyler in the world to attend.

We don't want your invitations, it's obvious you don't want us at your sessions. You have no respect for Bryan or myself. Just keep the shit to yourself, and don't even let us know. I wouldn't plan a session in Santa Cruz, tell you about it on Tuesday, and then call up 3:30 Sunday afternoon to invite you to the 2:30 session that's going to be 90% over before you can arrive.

Here's an idea, if you want us to show up and play WITH you guys, how about giving us the same information on the plan that you gave to joe, ahren, carol, fletcher, steve, emily, and yourself ? I don't even know why you would give a shit that we started a circle in a better location, you sure didn't care if we made the session in the first place.

At least we can agree we have little incentive to get together and play.

I'm not your mommy. It's not my job to make sure you know about everything and drive you around. I tried to take on a responsibility (informing you) which I was obviously not too good at. However, I DID call you an hour before we started playing, and you DID know in advance that there was going to be a session, and you did NOT bother to call to see what was up even though I was late in calling you.

Here's a better idea: how about you keep YOURSELF informed of sessions going on by not relying on ME to tell you everything. If you didn't discourage other people from talking with you by making them feel uncomfortable, maybe you'd know what was up with sessions more often. It is entriely your own fault that you are out of the loop. And you're asking me to baby you, to tell you exactly whats going on and when. I guess I'm just not willing to do that. And byt he way, I gave NO information to anybody. They gave me the information. It's not like I was plannign the session. Until that Sunday morning, I still didnt know the exact place or time the session was going to start.

"At least we can agree we have little incentive to get together and play."
-Not sure on that one. If I had no incentive to get together and play with you, then I wouldnt have bothered to call you at all. But I did, and I encouraged you to come out because it would be fun. I guess I'm fine having several sessions a week down here with the SC Crew though. It doesnt make my life any worse that we aren't sessioning monthly- it's just a tragedy that top notch freestylers located so close to eachother aren't shreddin it up. If you're starving for more sessions, well, you know what to do.

Sorry to hijack this thread by the way.

Whatever Bro,

Nobody is asking you to play mommy. Your crew contacted my crew and said there was going to be a session. Days go by and we don't hear a thing. We contacted Ahren, because it was obvious you guys were not going to give out the info. He said someone would call us with the details. Most people who throw sessions keep the people they invited informed, not the other way around. That's part of throwing a session, making sure the people you want to come have the information needed to show up.

I don't see why you are getting bent out of shape, I said the guy should look up santa cruz. That's more shredders for your sessions !

The assumptions coming from the Oakland area are so misguided.

No one in SC organized anything with this event. We weren't in charge. No one was even really "in charge" of it, it just happened. The reason you found out is because people wanted you there, not because we felt obligated. If you don't feel the same about us, then you should keep it to yourself instead of fighting publicly. Or, maybe you could e-mail or PM people talking about what you are upset about instead of being sarcastic in public. This is ridiculous.

I'm splitting this topic because this is disrespectful to the person who made it, and we've gone completely off topic.

I'm interviewing for a job that would make me relocate to San Francisco. I really thought the shred scene was a little friendlier over there.

the problem is that there IS no shred scene in San Fransisco anymore, just in the areas surrounding it. And to be clear, Cameron didn't start publicly fighting. I did, because I took slight offense to his original comment.

One more thing directed to Cameron: since the whole event was going down in San Fransisco, and since everyone from out of town was staying with Ahren or near Ahren's house in SF, and since Ahren knows the area best, it would only be logical for him to inform you of what was going down session-wise. I just happened to find out that there was a probable session going down some time on sunday, and so i called you and let you know about it.

The people aren't the problem, its the organization or lack thereof at the root of it. And since we in SC have regular jams, none of us are "starving" for sessions where we have to do more work than the average call 2 people up and meet. I personally, am not interested in keeping everyone who *might attend a session informed-too much work.

Hmmm here's an idea I had hear me out...

Turn this topic into something positive. This can be a topic you reply to when someone in your area is going to have a session. Everyone SF/SC/Oak etc. person who's interested does "watch this topic for replies" and the bam there ya go, email sent to you when there's a session. You could then set your email to sms your phone if you have the capability. Use those noggins kids!

Obviously I intended to start something with the comment. I don't actually have any problems with Jeremy. I'm just frustrated with the situation. It takes 45 minutes for blackjack to get to my house from his. From my house we have a good hour+ to get to the park. It was pretty much getting dark by the time we got there, and Steve, Carol, and Ahren were done already.

Thank you. We had heard about the session from a variety of sources, and of course we confirmed with Ahren.

That's true, this whole thing is basically a massive failure of organization.

Don't look at me. I didn't plan any fucking jam. Everything happened at the last minute. People came here to the city and I played footbag with them. Personally I had a great time. It was a beautiful day, good energy in the park, saw Joe Crane who I had not seen in three years. We had a great dinner after the kick, even though I ate one of those truffles and was a little too stoned to be in public. Leave me out of your little spat. You should know by now that I am NOT the go-to guy. That is all I will say regarding this topic.

I think you all need to stop the drama and just be friens again man. Because if i had friends to shred with down here in az i would make sure and take advantage of it. The closest people are a hour or 2 away and i dont drive so yeah come on cant you guys just settle this?

People might be getting the wrong idea. I think we're just publicly hashing out some issues. What has been posted above does not equate to hating eachother or not liking eachother.

I took, and will continue, to take offense at comments that blame me or anyone in my crew for not extending the invitation to other people in the area. It just so happens that the three most hardcore footbag shredders right now live within 10 miles or so of eachother and we are taking advantage of that circumstance. The way I see it, if people from far away want to be included in our sessions, they have to let us know something to the effect of: "Hey, Im free this weekend. Can we get together and have a session?" or "Im passing through, wanna have a kick?" According to my memory, that hasn't happened even one time. And the times that the SC crew and other Bay Area freestylers have actually kicked, the SC crew was the group responsible for initiating the get together. There has never been any reciprocation or any invitation extended to us to visit northward. If anyone is being unfairly treated, it isn't the freestylers in the north bay. I guess thats about all I have to say on this issue.

Yo!!!!!!!!

This is crazy.

ITS MY FAULT!

Im sorry guys!!

*I* Organized this weekend.

If you want to be mad at someone, please be mad at ME. Im sorry that shit wasnt super well organized. It was meant to be me and my girlfriend hangin' out the park with Ahren, Emily. All I said was: Lets meet at hippy hill at 2PM, and this message was loosley dissiminated to others who may be able to join us. I was late. It was spontaneous and unplanned (the way i like it). My bad for not taking this more seriously.

Those bystanders reading this thread can be damn sure that there is GREAT (and I mean fantastic) company to be had in SF and surrounding areas. And that next time I am involved with a gathering of this type, I will make sure it will be well organized with proper invitations extended.

Its so funny to me to see this [thread] because I had such a fucking amazing time last weekend. I feel bad I was so oblivious to other's bad experiences, but i always try to learn from my mistakes.
