Legbreaker is where you take your leg and rest it between two adjacent tables and use a sledge hammer to smash your leg completely in two. It's risky but as long as you stretch and warm up etc and make sure your form is good you should have no worries.

errr, I mean.... frontside legbeater. (Frontside Symposium Atomic Butterfly)

Thx for the birthday wishes. I got the best phone today ever. It pwns all you n00bs. I spent all day shopping with mum's money. It was awesome. Now I'm gonna go get wasted on my own money... that will also be fun :D

Well, after a week of no shred I finally play again yay for me.

March 13th
Length:
2 sessions - 1 hr plus 90 mins. (Total since 19/01/06: 30 hours)
Drilled: Mirage (+ pdx), Illusion, pickup, legover, clipper, osis, butterfly.

Fun sessions. Half drilling half trying new tricks :D Most of the drilling was just getting back into it after so long off... osis in particular took a while to get rolling. But boy did I score with new tricks :)

Tapping DLO bs
Smog
Fairy ss DLO
Fog
Flog
Double over Down

And...

...

...

...

wait for it...

...

ATOMIC GYRO MIRAGE

twice, too. So excited. Couldn't believe I hit it. Just felt like trying it for some reason and in just a few minutes BAM there it is. The bag always lands right around my foot, the set just works, I'm so lucky. :D

Also wrote myself up a sort of 'training' schedule witch I'm going to try to do every day... about an hour... let's see if it works, hmm?

March 19th
Length:
2 hours (Total since 19/01/06: 32 hours)
Drilled: Mirage (+ pdx), Illusion, pickup, legover, clipper, osis, butterfly, tiltless.

Great session. All basics. Probably only fooled around for 15 minutes all up... practically an hour and a half of solid drilling yeeaaah.

Great improvement on Illusions. Didn't do consec, just Illusion > hand catch rpt. Really concentrated on form and I think it helped a lot more than 2-4 rpts of really crappy illusions ;)

Also: 43 Osis. w00t.

And, and...

42 Tiltless. Hell yeah, really happy with that :)

Gonna go shred more now.

March 23rd
Length:
1 hour

Just mucked around a lot with atomic etc and some other stuff. Footed Irish Mist a bunch of times, will so hit this very soon. Hoping to get it on film for this month's comp. If I'm lucky.

March 24th
Length:
1 hour (Total since 19/01/06: 35 hours 30 mins)

Drilled a bunch of stuff. Pulled out early, not because I was tired, but because I was mentally drained. I just couldn't be bothered. Oh well, got a few tiltless runs in the high 20's without too much trouble, so consistency is improving there.

March 27th
Length:
1 hour 30 (Total Length since 19/01/06: 37 hours)

Drilled atomic and stepping.

Legbeater > Ripwalk > Blur bothsides. Couldn't get rpt. Really happy with stepping improvement, I really needed to work on it. Still a long way to go, my flipside clipper set is so weak, I don't know what to do about it. I drill and drill and although consistency is improving a bit it still feels really lame. *sigh* oh well.

Drilled drifters. got drifter > blurry drifter both sides, again, coudln't get rpt. Also pdx drifter > blurry drifter strongside. With a bit more drifter and stepping drilling I'm hoping to hit drifter > pdx drifter > blurry drifter rpt for Peter Bowler. Althouhg that might be a bit of a pipe dream at the moment ;) Oh, also hit symple drifter :P

Gotta say though, highlight of the session. After 3 sessions of trying. Over and over. Getting the spin just right. Working on the set placement. Having the bag land near my foot time and time again and for some reason just not catching it. Finally. I hit it.

Irish Mist. Atomic Gyro Drifter

This is definately one of the best things that has happened this year 8) I love footbag so much. Watch out for me in the march comps ;)

March 30th
Length:
1 hour

April 1st
Length:
1 hour 30 minutes (Total since 19/01/06: 39 hours 30 minutes)

Filmed a bunch of concepts and watched them back, was good info for form etc. My posture is looking much better and my drifters are hot 8) lol.

Then tried to get sick 1. Tried for a whole hour, footing it the whole time. couldn't seal it. Never been so furious from footbag, I was screaming like crazy. Would be an interesting watch... note to self: don't watch that footage.

Oh well. Next month. I'm supposed to go to the movies tonight with some old mates, but I really don't want to and I'm not sure how to strategically avoid it... hmm... want to shred...

edit: That's what I get for trying for my sick 1 on april 1st. Jokes on me.

Oh man... why didn't I think of that? :(

April 1st
Length:
1 hour (Total since 19/01/06: 40 hours 30 minutes)

Mucked around a lot, practiced some tripless and other basics, but generally all over the place, very undisciplined session :P

New:
Blazing Pdx Mirage (Like, last week)
Pixie ss muted Dyno/Rev Whirl
Fairy ss muted Dyno/Rev Whirl
Atomic ss muted Dyno/Rev Whirl

Pixie ss muted Dyno is cool :)

Doesn't sound like a very good reason to do it then! But I'll do it anyway, just to spite you. Yes, of course that makes sense
