Searching for a movie...

I've been searching for this one movie since 6th grade (I would be a sophomore in college now). It is about a girl who was valedictorian, and for her graduation speech, she spoke about how she got caught up in drugs and stuff. I think the actress was the pink Power Ranger, Amy Jo Johnson. Or she looked similiar to her. Has anyone seen this and know what it's called? PLEASE tell me. It's been driving me crazy off and on these past years. I thought I'd give it a shot asking you guys.

I've checked all of her filmography. I remember searching through imdb (and more) and finding nothing. I even checked Jennifer Garner, since she looks a lot like her. Maybe it is some other unpopular girl. I dunno.

I remember in Reality Bites it starts out with a girl speaking as valedictorian. I don't remember what about. But that was Winona Ryder. Haha.

Nope that's not it, but when I looked it up, I decided to try searching again (bored...nothing better to do), and I found it! I'm pretty sure. I've been searching with the words: drugs, valedictorian, graduation...I just tried drug overdose and found it.
