is everybody coming tonight?

Last Thursday Max, Bea, Nora and me went to the RTL2 TV-Studios
for a children's show called "Pokito TV", who did two 5-minute shows
about Footbag. It was quite improvised, and we didn't get to shred
as much as we would've liked to - but they asked a lot of questions,
and we did well, I think. Max forgot his G-Units, but managed to play with
the unmodded pair he had taken with him.
For the second show we showed some Net, which was really funny because
the space was super-small, and they even wanted us to play 2 on 2 there
(the space was not even half the size of a normal Net field).

The show is aimed at 8-13 year olds, it's pretty trendy and flashy and
all that, with topics like Anime, Yu-Gi-Oh and stuff like that.. still, it's
gonna be some exposure once they broadcast it (they said somewhen around june).

Max, did they give you the tickets for the bavaria film studios?

Hey everybody!
This is Toby writing.

Freshly registered and browsing thru the forums (damn, I should be working)! Gotta go, but at least posting my latest humble progress from Monday. Don't know if I'm gonna post it every week or whether I should start another thread for it... will see.

Hm, let's see. After a lazy start yesterday I managed to get the hold on mirages and legovers and finally managed some legover-to-legovers. But damn bag! On the 2nd legover stall it always kept hopping off. Nevertheless big fun and I think I'll prefer the jumping legover (whatever you call it). Moreover the mirage thing gets better, since I'm starting to realize how setting up the ball straight and pushing your hip aroud make things much easier. Well, then legover to mirage combo, three clippers in a row and a far legover (all of a sudden and not really planned! didn't even now the tricks name before, hehe)! Great session. Thnx Björn for the sand bag!

Gotta work on my left clipper hard in order to keep up with it. Still feels weird, although it should just be mirrored - but I sometimes just don't get the trick on the flipside although it's 100% the same. Aargh!

<T -8 working days> for my lavers to arrive (best case scenario). Hehe.

Cheers, guys,
Bye.

Toby.

Nice to see you posting here, Toby!!

It certainly was a great session for all of us.

03.04.06 Monday Gym Session

Players:
Daryl, Max, Nora, Toby, Bjoern

Everybody was on fire today. Daryl busted some hardcore links and moves, Max had awesome runs with lots of energy, Nora progressed well
and also hit some new combos, Toby, our new man hit his first leg>leg
(you'll bust big once you have your lavers!), and for my part - 5 new moves :)

GOOD SHIT:
Ripwalk bsos
12-14 guiltless
Stepping same mirage + flip shmoe in one run
Ducking Clip>Ducking Clip>Ducking Clip>Osis>Ducking Clip>Osis>Ducking Osis>hand catch

NEW MOVES:
Gyro Mirage
Gyro Legover
Tap
ATOMSMASHER
LEGBEATER
Atomic Legover

Ooh, just before the session I thought, 'I'll never get the hang of atomics,
I'm just too slow'... and there it is. Had Quantum Legover on my feet, too.
Thanks Daryl for the "Aggro Berlin!"-tip

Yeah, monday was hot ! I used my time well, shredding with everybody,
using different bags to stay sharp and i got to see a lot of good stuff :D

Bjoern already laid it down, but i gotta repeat one feature once more :
Toby du bist a killa  !!! you really do well plus i got a fetish for tall
people shredding ...

I still cant go for long combos, since one butter and one pdx mir still give me shit ( and they are indispensble at my level ), so i stuck to reworking
what i used to have, and i also hit some new short combos (and 1 nu 5 ) :

pixie ss clipper>gyro mirage

atomsmasher>paradon both sides 8)

paradon rake

thanks for the good time everybody - showing appreciation is a sign of
strenght

ps whirl :did Nora hit gyro mirage ?

Yep monday was really awesome! I had a lot of good runs, not just one or two. I started a few runs with some of my favorite drills: Drifter > DLO rpt. and Blur > Dimwalk rpt. :) Every concept went really well, and I hit a couple of tricks I never do in runs: Blizzard and Pixie Illiusion. Even Blizzard > Pixie Illiusion worked but only on one side, but it shouldn't be a problem to do it on bs. My Whirls were also quite good. My favorite link was Torque > Infinity > run... wich I could hit 3 times :D At the end I hit Tomahawk again an a couple of nice Blurry Whirls. Maybe I can link two Blurry Whirls next session.
And to my total suprise a bag from Anna Kirchner was in the mail today :D thanks a lot AnnA!!!!

TV Show recording summary
I just sent this as an Email to Jan Zimmerman. It's a write up of your experince at the tv studio. But it is in german sorry guys I'm too lazy to translate this

Hallo Jan,

MfG Max

Hey Verena ! Nice to see you posting in here :D I hope that you will be
in Praha in May, it would be a pleasure to kick it with you , since i wont
make it to Podersdorf ( i gotta work and stuff ) .

7.4.Ostasinn Jam

Every year, the Muffathalle and some good hearted students throw a big
street art-reaggae-hip hop jam to collect money for noble causes .

We were invited to do a footbag show this time and i gotta give Max props
right here, since he organized our little info point, brought the planet
footbag stuff and he kicked fucking ass that day :!:
This guy is getting so solid, its amazing - but i tell you more about that
later, cause right now i wonder why he hasnt showed up for my b-day bash...

When i got to the site, i didnt really know how, where and when we perform, but when i saw the other tearin it up, i knew there wont
be a big show, just some good old casual shred in public .

I think we all played very well, especially Toby, our new man -
god, three weeks a go, this guy couldnt hit a mirage and now
he goes for15 contact runs with 3 tilts 8O

At first most of our come-and go-spectators where to shy to express
their obvious interest, but from the point on when we engaged
businesswoman with green jackets into playing some four square,
things got a lot easier.
We inspired the kids, converted some hippies, saw new circles,
answered questions, made girls smile and jaws drop.
FOOTBAG :D

With high hearts and heavy legs Max and i couldnt resist to do
a small scale performance, and the crowd went nuts -
they loved Max juggling and they screamed their hearts out when Max
hit ps whirl for them :D

It was a nice way to represent and spread the madness followed by
massive drunkeness on my site after 4 hours of awesome kicky bag
moments like starting runs with smear>atom rpt .
I also hit atomsmasher>dlo>run and toeblur>ducking mirage,
a lot of ducking tricks, gyro toes and some quick double dexes -
but the best thing for me was the slow increase of run length...

a nice day, that .

8/9. BIRTHDAY BASHMENT

For all you suckers who missed it - it was the best houseparty ever .
Liam, my best friend came over to me when the hour already had grown
late, mumbling something about him being sorry for not getting me
a proper present, when he just whipped out two train tickets that
enable me to go to TODEXON 7 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D i amost cried, but then i decided not to, the evening was
that beautiful and the party was a fucking monster .
