What to do with your body when you die?

Post by Jeremy »

So what do you want to happen to you?

Burial? Burial at sea? Cremation?

I've given it some thought and have decided I'd like to be stuffed by a taxidermist and put on display somewhere so I can freak people out. I don't know if it's legal, or even if it can be done.

My aunt loves the mountains and stuff, and she wanted to be burned and have her ashes spread over a mountain. I thought that was cool. I'd rather do that than get buried and take up space. Haha. I dunno about getting myself stuffed.

Getting stuffed would rule, but I plan on going with a burial. Why waste food when you can give me to the worms?

I used to think it would be cool to be cremated and put my ashes into footbags to send out to my favorite people on modified.

I want to be cremated, but I don't really care all that much.

I want my body to be broken down into its basic elements and sold. With the $4.50 I make I want my family buy a bag of doritos and a coke.

Science. Have you seen some of the cadaver research they do these days? Frickin' hilarious. I would love to be a part of that.

It was “Steady” Ed's wishes that once he passed away his ashes be incorporated into discs so that he could fly. “Steady” Ed loved the Disc Golf and Frisbee® community. Ed wished for the community to have his discs and for them to have fun and play with them after he passed on.

Dude, if the bodyworks exhibit comes to your country, do whatever you can to go see it. It'll blow your friggin mind. Seath already posted a link to what it's all about, but from personal experience, it's a seriously intense show. Tons of bodies just stripped of flesh and exploded so you can see all their crazy organs... There's a list of body donors who want to be used - you could probably get on the list.

As for me, I was thinking of getting a tattoo on my ass with all of my stats/wishes. It'd have my birthday, my bloodtype, the fact that I want to be an organ donor and my wishes to have my remains cremated. Can't think of any other information I'd want on there, but there's lots of room, so I could even put a basic last will and testament...

Either cremated and have my ashes used as filler in a bag, or donate my body to science, I see no purpose in burials and funerals and all that. Once a person dies, their usefulness and purpose in life has been fulfilled and the living shouldn't concern themselves with making the dead more comfortable, because they are just that: dead.

At the local univeristy they have bars on the windows in the medcine buildings. This is because a few years ago a bunch of guys cut the head off a cadavar (or maybe it was alreay seperated) and threw it out the window to where a bunch of girls were sitting down eating lunch. Probably the best head ever given on campus ;).

State funeral. Glass case on display at Sydney Town Hall. Nothing to big, just something to allow all my fans to grieve.

Its was in Sydney last month - My understanding is that we got a different one from that which was in europe (we got the one from asia) and ours isn't quite as impressive. It was still pretty cool, got to see all the little tendons and ligaments i've torn over the years. I don't think it'll be going to Hobart, I think its in Camberra now, then Melb?

I've planned to be cremated since I was about 17. It totally goes against Judaism and is bound to be a fight with my family when I die, but as unspiritual as I am, I do feel that my energy will be transformed and released back to the universe just as well and much faster as if I were to rot for hundreds and thousands of years under ground.

I don't get why you'd want to be cremated?
I'm going to just be buried normal style unless I'm caught in a deadly explosion or something
