I personally think this isn't a good idea, although I do understand what you are trying to get at.
Basically, I am in agreement with what everyone said, as far as getting PARENTS involved and LEGALLY fighting the system. Next time use other people's footbags, so theirs will be taken away and so their parents can fight too

Now that I think about it a little more, it probably isn't a good idea because the school official won't take it seriously. But, say the parents do get involved; what basis for a "case" would they have to get footbag allowed in school free time? Then you could possibley bust out the symbolic speech idea.
"fighting the system" is definitely not the solution - you'll achieve nothing except wasting time you could be spending playing footbag. Talk to the principle and find out exactly what the reasons for not letting you play in the halls are. It's also obvious that they don't want you playing in the halls - so you should look for a new venue. Perhaps the school gym would be good - or an unused class room. Teachers generally do want what is best for you and their students - even if you don't understand this at the time and if you try to work with them instead of against them you'll find it much much easier to find solutions.

Out of the 2,000 kids in my school, my two friends swore they saw this one kid have my bags. I'm going to confront him tomorrow morning, and let him know that the shit he stole was mine. Which shouldn't be a problem, considering his locker is near our hangout in the morning. Short mexican kid. Nothing muscle can't out-do. My friends only saw one, but it had the exact same colors as mine.

The gym is locked in the morning, which is out of anyone's control considering the gym teachers want the door locked at all times there isn't a class so kids don't steal equipment. And I'm not going to isolate myself with my friends in a classroom whenever I want to play "just because". I have friends other than my footbag friends i'd like to hang out with in the morning.
Most teachers really don't even care. It's just the head authorities. Working it out with them isn't possible because they just assume we are lieing and will generally refuse our want.
How bad is the weather actually? Are there no areas outside that are sheltered from wind?
I usually play outside at breaks between classes + lunch in the smoking section outside our school, it's got an overhang area for shelter, even in the winter months, where not (much) snow gets.

The only areas we are allowed outside is on a blacktop field, which is on much raised grounds and there's always lot's of wind. Or it's raining. Or it's just too damn cold. We don't have any overhang areas or anything at all.

Anyways, my friends bag got confiscated permanetly today. We snuck into his office for a peak - but no look. One of the old office assistants got suspicious so I didn't get a good look. I was getting teacher signatures for high school registration this morning, so I couldn't catch the mexican.
My school has absolutley no problem with us shreddin' in-between class.... in fact i've gotten a few of my teachers and principals to play along...... some of my teachers evenly let us play in class (once we finish our work of course), others, on the other hand, don't like it and scold me for playin before and after class... but hey, it's okay, i just move somewhere else in the hall........ i just wish i would have had the opportunity to get a school-wide club for footbag started.... oh well *sigh*
I was actually thinking about a footbag club. The only requirements for a club at my school are teacher supervision, school appropriate and you have to have something to do. They have a freakin fish aquarium club at my school and a footbag club you could get the people that come and just kick the bag around since most people would be just hackysackers. I want to get decent before I try it though. I'm thinking my JR year I'll give it a go since I'll have until september to practice.
ha! this makes me think of this week at the mall. i saw a group of kids hacking in a circle and then the mall security came outside and told them to stop and leave.

Don't wait, DO IT!!!!!!!! Me and my friend waited till my jr year, trust me, get it started now. Also find a teacher that is willing to sponser the club. It makes a big difference. Good luck!!
