Well, you have a point there, but there's two things about me that you have to know first:

1) When I throw in too many 3's I feel like I'm short selling myself

2) If I shred straight 3's I get bored with my shred, which leads me to drop after like 10 contacts

So Last night I hit 19 contacts of my crazy-ass shred 30 that I still need to tone down. In that 19 moves here's the break down:

 5's: two
 4's: sixteen
 3's: one

I've decided to break the shred down into three sets of 10 and drill each section individually and then all together as well so that I can it perfect, and yes, sam

It was soooo hawt! I also tried to do a new five 5's: Blurry Whirl - Blurry Drifter - Spinning Whirl - Spinning DLO - Pixie (drop) Paradon

Still working on other Sick three ideas for Montana (or just in general), if anyone has any ideas, please post here or PM me. thanks in advance for any help, I needed it

Just giving you a hard time, buddy. :)

Can you say void>spinning pdx dlo>blackula?? Or how about janiwalker>shaft>mullet? I have no idea what your flipsides on these tricks are, so alter accordingly.

Had a sesh yesterday at my old highschool, and it wasn't too bad. Lots of good runs (20+ contacts) and lots of publicity b/c there was a soccer game, and I had a lot of spectators, plus a guy tried to recruit me for his team, but I was too old (plus I hate soccer).

Highlights -

Flip Mobius to start a decent string with spinning whirl bsos and blurry drifter

Strong Jani Walker - 5 contacts - Flip Jani Walker - 10 contacts P.S. whirl - P.S. Whirl - drop on spinning blender

Lots of bsos-ing tomahawk and other whirl fives.

Flip paradon is getting a lot better. Yes, that's right, I still have a double down problem on my flipside :(

really stylie combos like gyro pickup - same whirl - rev.swirling pickup - same blender bs

Hit one string with Maelstrom, Whirlwind, spinning blender bsos, and Mullet (attempt at bsos) in it.

It's been a while, but gotta give a shout out to my boy Nick Landes. I can't believe how good this kid has gotten. Had the honor of kicking a little with with him the other day, can't even recall all the things I saw him hit, just laughed and applauded and spit curses at him. The blurry whirl-blurry drifter-fog both sides (or bsos) was sweet. But that's it! You're too good now kiddo. Best in Oregon? That's gonna be too small a thing soon...

That was very touching Red. Ever since I started shredding with you guys (You , Noha, Andrew, and Jack to some extent) back in the day, I've always aspired to be in with the shred crew, and it's been my drive ever since I was first in a cirlce with you guys. That kind of post and acceptance, not being "first in Oregon", but just having a group of people that I can relate to, and keep up with, is why I love freestyle. Anyway, reading that post, and realizing that you respect me as a freestlyer and not just some kid who is still starting out made me realize how far I've come, and was the best thing that's happened to me in a long while. Thank you Red.

I did brag a little to a few people at work, but that's cuz they asked if I was the best in the world. Well the answer is no, but I said I was the best in Oregon, becuase Nate moved, and not really anyone else plays anymore, in the winter months everyone kinda falls out of it.

Isn't it a great feeling finally feeling recognized by people you've been learning from for such a long time? Ricky and Justin as of late consider me on par with them and not just someone still learning all the ropes, so I can definitely resonate with you on how awesome it feels. :)

I had a shesh last night at my old high school, and it was a decent session. I played for only, like 1 hour, cuz of my last string made me stop. It was:

Flip Jani Walker -> spinning butter -> pdx mirage -> fairy beater -> pdx whirl -> Barraging attempt-at-a-jani-walker-but-fall-on-my-ass-and-roll-my-ankle :(

Oh well, I'll get some downtime before Montana! But I was working on my shred 30 and I finally got through it with only one drop! All 30 contacts, plus one drop, and it was good. I also got my safety down for the sick 3, and I know the other combo's I'll be doing, I just can't hit them all the time yet. I'm so stoked to be going to montana this year, it'll be a blast.

Holy Shit! So much great shred from everyone at the Montana Jam, but I'll put down my shred that I can remember. Hopefully though James and Sunny and anyone esle who filmed will put some footage out there so people can see this stuff.

=Saturday Afternoon=
+ Hit gyro whirl and gyro DLO from zoom set bsor (both sides one RUN)
+ Had a fusing set hit my neck two or three times
+ Hit string > rubberman > 5 contacts of rubberman II > drop on the last legbeater
+ Good long runs with lots of creative combos
+ Hit lots of Sick 3 ideas, and was getting my shred 30 almost every time

=Saturday Competition=
+ Shred 30 I got 139, second place (not too shabby for 3 drops)
+ After my first drop, I went straight into a double down, instead of a bop
+ Only hit my safety for my sick 3 (but still got second)
+ Rippin run I dropped after my second trick: butterfly - butterfly(drop)

=Saturday Evening=
+ Had some good strings, but nothing too spectacular b/c I was feeling a little down due to my bad comp preformance (which turned out to be not so bad)
+ Decided to take it easy, and just screw around with crazy kicks for a while
+ After like 6:00 I started to kick well again. I hit some good stuff like:
String > ripwalk > dragon swirl > flipwalk > rest of string
First part of glucosaman drill (I couldn't get past the S&M Smasher though)
Good fearless combos (void > motion, and others I don't recall)
+ After all that, I got into a circle with Byrin and Roary, with James filming and Kevin Regamy Watching. Some of the most intense shiz was hit there that I want to post all of it, but don't know if I should cuz i want people to see it on video and be shocked rather than have them read it and be shocked a little then see the video and be like "oh, that's cool".

New training schedual! I'm going to try and shred 4 days a week, in the later afternoon/early night (6:30/7:00) and I'm gonna start working on a few differnt things.

I planned out a shred 30 with more contacts (about 32 hopefully!)

Trying to throw ten 4's in a row within a run

Trying to throw three to five 5's in a row to start a string or mid string

Learning my strongside moves on my flipside (such as Symp Whirling Swirl, Flurry, Barroque, Jani Walker, spinning ducking anything, ducking common sets, and blurriest)

Also gonna work on upgrading my general shred (seeing Jim Penske shred in Montana made me want to kick my game up a notch or two... or seven) by adding difficult four linking and more 5 linking outside of just hitting one or two fives in a string.

SESH TODAY! Will post tomorrow with anything good

Please excuse the next paragraph if you think of me as a generally nice and fun loving person, I'm in a bad spot and need to vent...

I'm sick! AGAIN! this fucking job makes me wake up at 4 am to get there on time, and because of the lack of sleep I'm sick like once a month! WTF?!?!?!?! Before I had this job I got sick like twice a year, but at least I could take a day off, or get sent home if I went in sick to Subway. But here? NO! I asked for time off for sick leave, and they said if I called in again for a sick day I'd be fired! GAY! My shred life is falling cuz I have to take like 4 days off if I ghet sick so that I can have a decent sesh, and after having like 3 sessions in a row, I GET SICK AGAIN! Oy my body will start to hurt because I can't recover properly. I got stuck with this shitty schedual becuase no one else wanted it, so they transfered me over WITHOUT warning and gave me Thursday and Sunday off each week. WTF? I went from having 3 consecutive days off, to having 2 split days off without notice or approval and they expect me to keep fucking sitting in this hell hole listening to retards bitch about thier program problems and how they can't get free tech support for thier own stupidity! To make things worse I just bought a pepsi.. or at least I thought ot was a pepsi, and it turned out to be a diet vanilla pepsi! DO YOU AVE ANY IDEA HOW SHITTY DIET VANNILA PEPSI TASTES!?!?!?!

Anyway, this started off as a post to let people know that I'm sick and will post more when I'm not sick. I did have a sesh the other day that I taped (on an old shitty camera that isn't able to be hooked up to a computer :? ) It wasn't that bad, even though it was a come-back session. In my mind, this is a sesh that follows a break in my regualr training schedual. I took four days off after montana, so the first session after that beak is usually my "come-back" session, and those kind of sessions are generally choppy, short and low add ratio. I just did some drills (mid-string rubberman, some pixie drilling, and some flip moves) so I could compare it to old footage that I had of last july (right before that attempt at US open 06 in Portland).
I must say that my style is much more pleasing now than it has been. All of my moves look more solid to me and for the first time in my career as a freestyler, I can say that I'm actually somewhat satisfied with my style. I'll have to wait of course for more footage of me at the MFJ when I was doing awsome to see what I really look like in circle shred.

Ive been sick before . . .

once.

I'm sick right now actually, though better than I was a few days ago.
I work at a job where I have to deal with and touch little kids all day, so I'm surprised I haven't been sick more than once this year. Anyway, I guess we have something in common: we both get sick.
My name: Jeremy Mirken, AKA Chocolatey Shatner, AKA jerk enemy rim.

Sorry you're in such a bad place, man! I can commiserate on the shitty schedule leading to a lot of unfortunate bull shit. That's how it goes, though. You won't have to deal with it forever, and this job will probably hook you up in a BIG way for your later years!

That's awesome that you're starting to enjoy your style more! I'm filming today with Justin and I hope I'll be in the same boat as you... Only time will tell.

Use two and a half weeks from now as a lodestone to keep you moving! Hopefully you won't be sick then. ;)

Man... Nick's style is sick so fuck you!

And also, in about a week I'll be working night shifts. Fucking hell that's fun :? .

You just have to tough it out man, it's only a minor road bump on your footbag roadtrip to awesomeness. Keep that head up dude!

thanks for the input guys, it means a lot to hear from other people that life likes to dump large piles of crap on everyone else too

SO yesterday I went to my old high school becuase I taught footbag there like 4 months ago, and I didn't get my check yet. I was talking to the lady and she said that they hadn't gotten some form and I needed to re-submit it and all this crap (but she was very helpfull and nice, but I need $$$ for Santa Cruz and all the other comps this summer). But while I was waiting, some other teacher was like "oh you play hackey sack?"and I was like "Yeah, I just went to a competition two weeks ago." and then looked surprised, and asked "Oh! Can you show me something?"

Can I show her something? Hell yes I can  , I can show her a huge bust of epic awsomeness!

Symp whirl - butterfly - pdx illusion - drop :?
her reaction - "wow, that's cool... "

Pixie... hit on my shorts attempt at a legover (I was wearing some huge baggy shorts and a normal shirt, not ideal shred gear...)
Then I thought "awwww fuck this, I'm gonna shred like never before!"

30+ contact string with lots of spins and ducks, some good 4's and a couple of fives, ending with P.S. whirl > hand catch.

8O

then she asked a whole bunch of questions about competition and shoes and bags and stuff, all in all it was pretty sweet. I love shocking the hell out of people when they expect me to kick the bag a few times.

it was some good times :D

Just had a shesh with Red and Brian (brian's finally back!) and it was some good shiznit.

Red was doing pretty well this time, even though he's still not at his peak, but he had some sweet strings

Brian was as much of a machine as ever. Busted out some hot combos, quantum everywhere, but if he wants to post all the highlights of his sesh, he's more than welcome , cuz all I remember was blubberman, jani walkers here and there, and some good swirl stuff with some 5's mixed in (especially after the Fro add [FRO] gets put the jobs...lol)

I was doing well for a public sesh, hit some good stuff here and there (got close to that same 7 5's that I got on video in Montana). My most impressive moment though is when I freestyled 19 4's in a row. Let me repeat that for everyone... I freestyled 19 tripless 8O.

Usually I can't get more than 5 tripless freestyled because of my body. It just won't let me do hard shuffle for more than like 5 contacts unless I plan it out and force my body to do more. But normally I lose focus and either drop or bail to a three. Anyway, that was my awsome run, and it almost doubled my old record (which was all planned)

Also, my boss said he's trying to get me on a different team so that I can get a better schedual! YAY! That way I might be able to get 9-10 sessions in a week 8O :!:
