Post by BalinorNZ »

Hey Modified!

The next round of competitions will be the March online competitions!
The events are:
 Open Sick One! (Biggest footbag move competition)
 Open Sick Three! (Biggest 3 move combo competition)
 Novice Sick One! (Biggest footbag move competition for beginners)
 Novice Sick Three! (Biggest 3 move combo competition for beginners)
The closing date for entrys is 31st March 2006, any videos submitted after this day will go into the next online competitions.

Anyone may enter these events! All you need is a video camera that you can connect to your computer! Nothing else!

How to enter:
1. Film yourself doing your best sick1 or sick3 (or both!)
2. Connect your camera to your computer, copy the video of your move/combo onto your computer from the camera.
3. Send it to me in one of the three folowing ways:
 Attatch it to an email and send to [email protected]
 pm/email a link where the video can be downloaded to me.
 Send a message on my msn (address: [email protected]) or AIM (NicBathgate) and send me your video(s) over that.

Please include your full name and city and country and the names of the move(s) you hit in your entry (eg. Nic Bathgate (Dunedin, New Zealand) mirage > around the world > butterfly).

I will edit the videos and slowmo them, you do not need to edit them at all.

Click HERE to see previous months competitions!

So get going and record your entry! Good luck everyone!

Derrick, usually the results come in about 4-5 days, but with Nic pawning off all the videos, it might take a little longer/shorter.

I forget the exact final count, between 45-50, a drop on last months, but then again still way more than we origionally got, and I didn't even have time to hype it.

I'm pissed, I tried for an hour to get my sick 1 and footed it hundreds of times and just couldn't get it. Then I didn't have any more time to do it. Oh well, next month's comp. I'll work on a sick 3 this time, too :P

Haha, yeah, that seems to be the problem doing trying tricks at the last minute. Even if its a few days before, you might be too sore after.

Yeah, my effort was pretty weak this month, but I've just been insanely focused on specific aspects of my game, and not really trying to push big tricks. Although the DAY after submission I nailed two awesome tricks worthy of submission!

I think for the next competitions my entrys are gonna suck, mainly because I dont want to use tricks I have already used, and I feel my game really lacks in variety with no whirls, dlos, syposiums, drifters, and crappy inconsistent sets. With no vairety, bad sets, and no reapeats in tricks, my tricks will not be as good as before and I wouldnt be suprised if I am in the novice category for a long time

don't get yourself down man. Most, if not all of the people in the open competitions have been playing for a lot longer than any of us in the novice have. BTW your entries last month were sick I cant wait to see this month. peace

How do you split the people to novice and not not novice?By the time they have shreded or the add count of moves?

Part add count, part common sence.

Stepping ducking symple legover (4adds) would make open but dimwalk (4adds) would not, for instance.
