how's it goin guys.... i'm new to the forum, and semi-new to the sport... I've been playin strenuously for about 2 months or so now, but for about 2 years before i was just a circle kicker. wondering if anyone could lend me some tips on how to go about get new moves down. i practice usually every day for hours on end and still find myself only bein able to pull off the same little moves..... oh, and if anyone lives near Hermitage Tennessee, i need someone to hack with.... not too many people out this way can......

FInally someone near me. we need to get together and shred. or hack. whatever.

sure. to learn new moves, check out some info site before just asking for help.

some sites with video and tips are

hackrifice.com
flipsider.com
footbag.org

i hear hoodshouse is good too, but never used it.

the basic tricks for newbs to learn are

clipper
mirage
around the world

after that, some more beginner freestyle

pickup
legover
pixie
fairy

if you want tips, ask for exactly what you want, AFTER YOU SEARCH for that topic, and find no answers

don't get me wrong, i've been to all these sites, i've watched the videos, read the articles, and i've learned the mirage and clipper and butterfly and maybe 2 or 3 more moves, but i can't really do too much more. i'm tryin new moves constantly, but i just can't get my timing right. maybe i shoulda been more specific..... that post was supposed to be more of a question on how to get the timing of tricks down........

you have to be more specific still.

with the way youve put it,

set the bag.

as its going up time, try to dex. that means do it fast.

do your delay downtime.

if you want more info, you gotta give me some insight.

where is your "the" happening. are you completeing the dex. just cant move fast enough?

where do you live... i live on 8th street, alittle down from downtown nashville. if you want, come shred with me and i will teach you whatever you need to progress... as long as you dont surpass me...

or i can maybe meet... it depends on my class sched. and if i can find a place.

Just keep at it. If you are playing every day you must be getting better, it's just a real difficult sport to master.

Note: you should have posted this in "Getting started"
"Back to the essence."

i learned alot of moves on hackrifice, look into the move pârt and then try some 1, 2 , 3 adds. some of them are very easy (like butterfly, 3 adds) and some others are way harder (like atomic mirage, 3 adds) you can have ALOT of fun with 3 adds or less IMO. im still schooling my flipside, i can barely hit a butterfly or osis flipside, but i can hit blurrier (stepping down double down) :x . so dont play like me, learn tricks on your strong side AND on your flipside. but dude, the thing is to have fun :) so ... have fun :D. and one of the coolest 3 adds is the osis IMO.

I go to school with siy, but haven't had much time (or any time at all for that matter) to shred with him.
We should all meet up somewhere and shred.
Too bad I found out about this meeting up thing all too late.
We need to plan ahead.

Yeah, the osis is pissing me off cuz i can't seem to spot where it's gonna hit on my foot... That and i, for some reason, can't crank my ankle enough to pull it around.... but it's all good.... shreddin' with Lee and Brinard is really helping me. thanx guys.

for right foot osis, set off your left toe to about your stomach / chest, turn "counter clockwise" (as if you were standing on a clock) as the footbag is rising, let it fall past your right butt cheek, and turn your head away from it JUST before you're going to catch it, and end in cliper stall.

to get in the proper position for the catch, put your right foot in the inside stall position, as cranked in as possible. then, point your knee in so your right foot (still cranked) is kind of under your right butt cheek, or right hip.

practice practice!

Matt, wouldn't that be right-side osis as opposed to right-foot osis?
