symp pixie>symp mirage>symp pixie>symp mirage into a run

and i got a submission worthy sick 3 on film.

*EDIT* apparenty the file was somehow corrupted... so no sick 3 on film :(

mfing CRAZY session today. Without even going home, as soon as I got to Santa Cruz and dropped off the people who rode up with me I headed to a session with Emily, Jeremy, Lon Smith, and Nate linscott.

Wow.

Lon and Nate have some of the sickest shred I've ever seen. Amazing. I didn't hit many good runs, but i hit Tomahawk for the first time, paradox torque, drifter>ripwalk, whirl>blur, and some of my other usual tricks I guess. It was really fun; we were playing in the rain off and on.. and then it got to the point where we had to squeeze the water out of the bag we were using after every turn. First time shredding in the rain, and watching Nate and Lon bust was really sick. Then homemade dinner from trader joe's and some facile pattern cutting.

Good to be back.

I need to get better at footbag.

uber session with jeremy. hit some fatty shit... was playing realllllly hard.

paradox torque bsos (first time flip!)
came close to flip backside blur, that'll be my second 5 bsos

nuclear ss muted clipper first try at jeremy's request. He was all like "Yo, you should try this, I think you can hit it." and then I was like "BICKETY BAM." and busted it all perfect and smooth. came close to sumo.

pixie symposium butterfly for the first time, a few times.
pixie ducking clipper for the first time, twice.

torque bsos
ripwalk bsos
blur bsos
ps mirage bsos
ducking pdx mirage bsos
ducking butterfly bsos
atomic opp legover bsos, atomic same legover both sides
ripwalk>ripwalk>blur
ripwalk>ripwalk>p drifter
p drifter>p drifter
stepping legover, stepping mirage both sides
legbeaters, tapdowns, footed atomsmasher>atomsmasher
fear, dimwalk

My atomic has officially switched strong sides!

some real good tiltless and guiltless runs, i think about 10 guiltless at best and 28 tiltless best.
butterfly>far osis>far osis>opp butterfly>far osis>far osis>drifter drop

clipper>far legover>pixie same clipper>far legover>pixie same clipper>far legover>pixie same clipper>far legover

I feel like I'm getting better every session. If I don't hit new moves I hit new combos and improve on old stuff. Footbag is so fucking sweet. I've decided I'm happy with the level my game is at... (I still want to be much better though.)

*EDIT* Forgot, also hit atomsmasher>atomic osis, and far osis>torque.

Thanks Mathieu! :D I could be way better though.

Played with Emily and Jeremy today.

hit atomic opp legover>toe whirl>pdx illusion
bubba>toe drifter>bubba>toe drifter
barrage
atomsmasher>atomsmasher (footed x3 a few times.)
drifterX4 twice
toe drifter>dlo>toe drifter .. missed the last dlo several times. :(

Legbeater>ripwalk>pdx mirage>legbeater>ripwalk>pdx mirage
This took me like 20 minutes of straight solo tries.

some ok runs, some other stuff but nothing else worth mentioning i dont think.

I'd LOVE to go to worlds but I'm a broke ass. I'm gonna have a ridiculously awesome time at our event though, even though I have finals after that weekend! 8O

played today with Isaac Noyes, a new local player, Emily and Jeremy.

My legs hurt this session. pretty badly at points. I need new insoles, and new lavers, and as soon as I have money... (this is an indefinite amount of time...sigh.)

but, i hit a few things.

stepping mirage>toe torque twice, was going for osis after torque but missed twice. jeremy suggested this combo towards the end of the session, I was feeling frustrated and hurting, this made it a little better. If I can hit one new combo every session, it's worth it.

Also at the end of the session I had 50 tiltless contacts over 3 runs... which, I think is awful. I have to work pretty hard just to hit that many so... need to work on my run length definitely.

pdx torque, backside blur, ducking pdx mirage both sides, ducking butterfly bsos,

drifterX4 again, but then I was having trouble hitting even one. :?

Had a real hard time with stepping and atomic stuff, best was ripwalk>ripwalk, nothing bsos atomic or stepping. :(

oh, and I hit smear a few times, almost smear>smear, tried flip pixie a few times to no avail.

I want to play tomorrow but I probably shouldn't. If I do, I'm going to buy new insoles before I play for sure.

8O

session at some tennis courts mostly with jeremy, emily played with us after she got off work.

bought new insoles; feels muuuuuch better.

hit tombstone for the first time, once sketchy, once clean as all hell.
ducking drifter, ducking pdx drifter!!
tiltless run of 28, some ok guiltless runs
flip whirl 11/15 attempts
flip whirl>whirl 5/15 attempts
whirl>whirl>butterfly>whirl>whirl twice
whirl>osis>whirl>osis

torque>drifter
stepping osis both sides (ugh, why can't i hit that bsos..)

atomsmasher>dimwalk, parkwalk>ripwalk, PLO, smear a few times... I'm now pleased with my strong pixie set, and.... .. . I'm already starting to hate myself for not working my flip.

hit spinning clipper once on my strong side... I'm going to try and make myself do 15 each side at least it's discouraging cus i suck so much at it though.

14 consecutive ducking toes
ducking butterfly>ducking butterfly
pdx drifter bsos

forgot to mention in yesterday's session pdx dlo both sides.

goooood fun session. Really good because I wasn't expecting to hit anything new/good and I did.

*EDIT forgot, hit symp mirage>like 7 or 8 consecutive symp pixies

diving butterfly>ripwalk

spinning butterfly strongside, spinning clipper both sides, spinning clipper>ducking clipper

played solo for 2.5 hours. still sick, felt real winded at points, basically drilled everything in my repertoire except whirl on my strongside and pixie set cus my knee was feeling weird.

I felt at one with the universe, and then hit a 42 contact run with ripwalk bsos and lots of 3's (mostly bop, ducking clipper, symp mirage) My longest run so far.

spinning clipper>ducking clipper BSOS

13 osis

and drilled like... literally everything. oh, and hit weaving clippers for the first time.. i didn't know they existed until i watched the last competitions. they're kinda weird, aren't as fun as diving.
