(btw. planetfootbag has switched to selling only lead free footbags, even the special editions made by prominent stichers are now 100% lead free. soon we hope to be able to offer a non lead filler to any sticher interested as a service to the community. so far the new filler has been tested and approved by felix, ilja, jochen, footfighter and the swiss stichers.)

hi...giving the new filler type out too the community would be rad.realy,cause,i personnally have no problem with lead,i mean,come on,i work with chlorine,so...but i know that many possible cutomers have thoughts about buying lead bags,so it would be cool to know a sweet filler that is 100% undagerous(i dont take shooting your cat down as a danger) so...yeah,just please tell us when you have something!

and i think i speak for all stichers here!

I don't think the fact that lead is used in footbags is a big deal for most people. The only time I would be worried about it is if I had little kids who I let play with my bags and there was a chance a piece of lead came through a bleed hole if they had the bag in their mouth or whatever.

It's impossible to get lead poisoning without swollowing the lead really, absorbing it through your skin happens so slowly (especially since the lead is in a facile bag) that you would have to live to 100 and handel a footbag every day before you see any effects of the lead.

exactly what i think. you will have too eat a bag or two for quiet some time to realize effects. but, you know how this works... you wanna sell something, you will have too meet the customers wishes as close as you can. i dont make my bags only too sell em, and bags that are for me will allways have lead in em, but ass long as one guy/gal is worried about lead in bags, its good to have a alternative at hands too use that and deliver a fine choice bag too the person. event without "poisonus" stuff.

#7 is the best one to get IMO, it's the one all the way at the bottom. It's small shot. Great stuff.

Yeah just to clarify a few things - first lead poisoning is only really an issue in young children - especially under the age of 6.

Lead poisoning occurs when you get too much lead in your blood - either from inhaling or ingesting lead products. Adults who suffer from lead poisoning are usually exposed to lead daily for some period of time in their work. For example many people still live in houses with lead based paint are perfectly healthy but people doing renovating to those houses sometimes suffer lead poisoning.

Basically there is no evidence to suggest that footbags with lead in them pose any kind of danger to people over the age of 6.

It said a grain of salt sized of lead regisers as signifigant lead levels in children under 6. Adults require higher levels to register as unhealthy. The source posted also says that if you work around lead you are supposed to clean yourself and change clothes, or you may contaminate people you come in contact with outside of work.
The reason I think lead is bad is because footbaggers carry/massage/handle bags constantly for years. Footbags are not just on our feet, some of us get obsessive over our bags LOL

although i think lead shouldn't be used for health reasons anyways, there is another practical point not use lead. it ruins footbags. lead is so soft it rubs off into the material and causes the facile to get stiff (it is obvious, i mean why do you think the used to use lead for pencils?). that is one of the reasons why super-heavy lead filled bags often are a bit stiff when they get older (though being broken in). so steel or copper coated bbs are much better. for your health. and your bag.

the only lead issue is the lead PAINT issue, it's a footbag, are u gonna put it in ur mouth? are u going to feed it to your children or pets? would u even be so careless as to leave ur relatively expensive footbag around a toddler or an animal(?) Will you or your loved ones be surrounded with footbag related lead all day? I would think not. It's ok, lead won't kill you.. but it is a good excuse if your child ends up being slow witted

awesome news jan. i´ll be sure too pic a bit, that is if i dont order 100kilo of it myself, i hope that my probe pack from the company arrives today or the next few, i have 2 bag corpses here that are eager too get filled in with the new stuff and get the crap kicked out themselfes....

A couple of days ago a local had his lead filled bag eaten by his dog

Hopefully he didnt eat all the lead(maybe he just takes it and hides it somewhere?) He's ok so far.

most pencils made after 1952 use Graphite, not lead
