actually, that bag may predate the filler thing. I'm uncertain. It is at least 5 to 6 months old and never been kicked. I felt the material too fragile for my tastes and bought it just to examine the material more up close. Shows the inquisitive side of me:P

Maybe I'm not superstitious/learned enough yet, but why wouldn't you at least test out a bag you had just bought? I think the first thing I would do after receiving a bag would be to bust out some shredding.

Then again, maybe I'm totally wrong.

I am parenting my gf's new Mini Sambag. It's 60.3 grams of rad. Probably a pinch smaller than an Abshire mini.

ladies and gentlemen i present to you:

the Abshire T50 custom mini i got today in my first real trade of my stitching career, with the man himself

to my delight, it was just like i had mentioned, thick colors and tight stitching. fantastic looking scheme imho, atomic i believe its called. furthermore its filler is a blend of tungsten and plastic that is nothing short of awesome. all in all i cannot even wait for this bag to choice-ify..

here it is next to my very choice grombag by jeremy mirken (which i managed to lacerate severely

) and my bag #8 which should be done tonight or tomorrow

this product comes very highly recommended

I made this bag.

And traded for this bag.

The trade was to Matt Mcfarland. Very, very nice bag on his part. The one he made was ever so slightly bigger than the one I made. The pictures are not the same scale.

The thing is that you can't really know if the bag is shreddable or not before it's broken in. Of course you can make some conclusions about the stitching, the size, the filler and so on, but you still can't be sure if it'll be good or not.

Yeah, that is true. But technically if a bag was broken in already, wouldn't it's value actually increase? It would make it playable right off the bat.

that theory sort of applies, but think of it like used goods. the bag's life may only last another month or maybe 3 months if your nice, as it's been broken in, and you have no idea how.

thats the fun of having a bag for me. getting it to the choice stage.
