and for the other "posters" can you put some link plz ?
im sure that im not gay, and i prefer the feeling to hit a new move (like today, ducking PS mirage and whirling rake) to know a new band, im a big fan of music so im always happy to know a new band. its even better when you can hear a 2nd version of songs that you like. and btw, i dont f*cking care about flowers. and lets go back to the real topic here. SKA !!!!! we arent suppose to talk about gayness, flower or footbag here. thank you
i think something is weird in his head to act like that on the INTERNET. cmon dude, stop playing with yourself and try to have REAL sex. you might have a smile after that and stop pissing us off with your stupid remarks.BainbridgeShred wrote: The funny part is, you know my name, and I don't even know who the fuck you are. Why are you talking to me? I certainly wasn't talking to you.

I don't know how you could come to that conclusion. SM's lyrics rival those of any modern rock band I've ever heard. Maybe you're not listening close enough. I could write a paper on "They Provide the Paint for the Picture Perfect Masterpeice that you Will Paint on the Insides of your Eyelids". Go back and take another listen, and look up the lyrics online as you do.

I guess I can't really get into the anthemic vocals, especially where they have the background singers repeating the last word the lead vocalist sang. Things like this don't help either:
"sticks and stones may break my bones
but names will never hurt me
and it's been years but still i fear that someday they'll desert me
oh, it's hard, i know
when it's time to stand alone
and no one understands you"

and no one understands you"

I guess it just isn't your cup of tea, but a parody of a childhood song just juxtaposes itself against the background of the real topic of the song, which is suicide. I don't think you're reading far enough into it."sticks and stones may break my bones
but names will never hurt me
and it's been years but still i fear that someday they'll desert me
oh, it's hard, i know
when it's time to stand alone
and no one understands you"
A childhood song about teasing (For lack of a better word) nonetheless. I think it only adds to the actual theme of the song.
i just bought a Streelight Manifesto's album, its "Keasbey Nights"
yep all catch 22's song but made by SM, IMO its a lil bit better than the original one cause i like to hear new versions and SM make them a lil bit louder. there are some differences tho. its not a copy/paste of the original version.
so, if you are a maniac (like me), you should buy it to have the real CD, but if you like that, download it, dont waste money for it

I've listened to it, and I'm not really sure what to think. I feel it's kind of like a kick in the face directed at Catch 22 (which is pretty much true) but it's not bad. I like the Catch 22 verson better, but only because I've listened to it soo many more times. Anyone heard of Easy Big Fella? I'm listening to them right now, a 90's band heavy on the 2-tone. (Which means it's fucking awesome!)
