Got my first bag in May 2003, so almost 3 years now.
There's been though at least a year of almost no footbag at all - now I've shredded for over a year without any major breaks.

I started circle kicking around the end of 2001, my freshman year. About a year later, I learned about freestyle footbag, tried playing it, but never got really into it.

Around summer 2004, right before my senior year, my friend miles got me a pair of new balance 300's, then i've basically been hooked ever since, except for when i took 2 months off due to someone jumping on my foot.

Freestyle is just so much more fun than just plain "hackysacking". My friends are all like, your taking hackey sack way too far, it's starting to be like everquest ( i was a hardcore EQ addict back when). But when I spend hours in the basement practicing it's all worth it because your working toward a goal and getting better while when your hackysacking all you do is kick it with your right foot. :?

My one week "freestyle" anniversery is comming up wednesday or thursday. When I got my good bag and my decent shoes(the stan smiths aren't that terrible after all), and starting to practice the ATW the right way is when I count it as starting. I'm thinking of starting a blog.
