Hello.
Another week.
This past weekend...

Friday, No shred. I took a break and hung out with Hitomi. I forget what I did though...

Saturday I went to OCAT. I got to check out my flight itinerary for the two hour flight to Okinawa this coming weekend!! As it turns out, we (Debi and myself) will have a rental car, and I have an international license, so I will be driving IN JAPAN! That will be fun. Or stupid, Im not sure which. I cant forget to remember that America is the olnly country (I think) that drives on the right side of the road.

Also, I hit
rubberman (second time)
pixie leg over x 20
infinity x 101
toe merkon

Sunday,
I was going to go to OCAT again, but I was supposed to meet with my landlords sister about a job she wanted me to do this coming Tuesday. She works for Mitsubishi, and she wanted me to translate for a meeting. I would have gotten to ride the Shinkansen (bullet train), for 40 minutes, and then get to meet a bunch of higher-ups at the Mitsubishi main office 8O The other good part was that it would be 300 dollars for 8 hours of work 8O . Man, if I could only do that everyday...playing footbag
Anyway, it fell through and she said they wouldnt need me until next month  . She also said that there is a possibility that I could work there full time, if Im good enough
I dont think that will happen, but it would be sweet if it did... I do know that if she is the one that is translating now, I have a good chance. Her english is worse than my Japanese, probably...

I schooled flip pixie in a park Sunday and then I hung out with Hitomi. We made some good dinner. I like rice a lot.

bye-bye.

Shoot, I was way too busy at work yesterday to post

Monday was a good session. I dont really remember what I hit, but this past weekend I realized that I am a moron. Well, actually I realized I am a moron a long time ago, and this past weekend just enforced it. I have been mistaking swirls for rev. swirls for like 5 months now  Rev. swirls seem to be a bit harder than swirls, and maybe that is why I am having so much trouble with them...

Anyway,
my knees are sore, so that means that I will start working out again. Im thinking about running again, except that I dont have good running shoes anymore... This past summer, I was going to the gym, running, and shredding. My legs rarely hurt, and I played better. I dont have time to go to the gym right now, so I will do leg exercises, pushups and situps.

Yesterday I practiced swirls, pixie, spins. I dont think I busted that hard, which kind of made me feel that I didnt play that well, but thinking about it, I worked on a lot of stuff that I am weak at, which will only make me stronger in the end.

I really have to give Hitomi props though. She doesnt seem to care that I play footbag everyday. Some days I tell her Im thinking about taking the day off, and shell tell me that if I want to play, I should play. She also told me (I think I posted this already), that she new before dating me that footbag would be just as important as her, if not more important, and that really means a lot to me. :D

Today is 16 C in Japan. That is just about 61 F 8O Im shredding today!!!!!!

Nice to see you again...

Aahhh, the next time I kick will be in just about 80 degree weather :D ...

I went to ocat yesterday to meet up with Debi, Kenzo and Chahan. As it turned out, only Chahan showed up, but two people was just fine with me :D

I got there a little early, which is what I wanted to do, so that I could stretch and possibly even warm up slowly. The last few days I have not been pushing myself as much as normal, which is probably because I play everyday :?

Yesterday, in a 2.5 or so hour sesh:
I hit:

butterfly swirl bs

blur > legbeater > ripwalk bs (i dont think i linked them)
parkwalk > p. pickup > (rpt) x 2 (i think twice)
inspinning osis bs

atomsmasher > toe ripwalk < totally new combo for me :D

my strings felt good. I cant wait to play this Saturday all day long :!:

MAN!!

I think I was the last one to find out that modified got its address changed

I will do more fairys in my runs, thanks

The past week or so has been a big blur of footbag, tournament and fun.

I will do my best to say it all here and now.

Moves I have hit recently:

Goliath
Royal assassin > pixie paradon
pixie ducking paradon 8)
zulu osis bs
p drifter > p whirl > rpt
symp whirl bs
alpine ss butterfly > paradox ducking dlo
frontside symp. dlo

OK, now for a recap.

This past weekend was AWESOME! the 3rd Okinawa footbag meeting took place (in Okinawa). Debi and myself left Osaka at about 12pm, and our plane arrived in Okinawa two hours later. As we got off the plane, we were greeted by about 72 or 73 degree weather 8) That was really nice  The first place that we went to was the rental car place. Debi found a cheap package deal that included round trip plane ticket, one night stay in a hotel, and a car for the weekend. We ended up renting a red, um, shoot, I forgot that name of it, but it was about the size of my F-150's wheel
I had my international license with me, and I was stoked to drive in Japan.
As it turned out, I forgot to drive  Debi did all of the driving. After finding our hotel (it took a long time, and the help of 2 people and two convenient store clerks), we unpacked, and made our way to what I though was going to be the shred spot for the day, a place called American Village. This ended up being about 30 minutes from our hotel, but that didnt really need to said
On our way, I realized that the radio station we were listening to was all in English! Then I remembered that there is a huge military base in Okinawa, as a matter of fact, it was in the same area that we were staying. It was kind of nice hearing english on the radio, but I think only because I was still in Japan. I came to Japan to get away from all of the English language, style and what not.
Shoot, Id like to continue with this, but I get off work soon, and I am going to meet up with Kenzo and shred, so I will continue updating later, sorry...

alpine ss butterfly (I guess thats what its called)

pixie ducking same butterfly

example*
right foot pixie > duck > left foot butterfly

maybe it would be weaving instead of ducking??

That was as far as I got in my last post with my regards to Okinawa. So...

As we approached American village, more and more foreigners kept popping out of the woodwork, so to speak. Dont get me wrong, I have no problem with Americans, its just that when I only see Japanese scenery and Japanese people, it really reminds me that I am not in the States :D We pulled up to an intersection as Debi was on the phone with Kimu, trying to find out where everyone was. As it turned out, Kimu was outside, at the same intersection that we were at, in our plain view. We waved him down and USK (yusuke) and Kimu came to our car. They told us where to go park and after we did, we all went over to where sugiyan and chahan were shredding. It started raining at about this time, which sucked, because there was no area that we could shred that wasnt under a roof, or so we thought... We went in to the nearest building and met up with a bunch of people, most of who I know, but forgot their names  and a couple of people from Okinawa that I had never met. We didnt really do any formal introductions, as everybody was either about to go find somewhere to shred (me) or go see a 4-d movie (not me). 4 of us from the Osaka crew left to go find a spot to shred. Close by, luckily, there was a little shopping center that had a center lounging area. We decided that would be our best bet, and thus the shred began. We only playedfor just under two hours, being that there was a planned dinner with everyone. As it turned out, the four of us ate together, as the group dinner thing fell through. We found some Okinawa-esque restaurant and made our way in. We ended up sitting next to these 3 women, all in their early 30's, I think, and only one of them was pretty actractive :? Well, they were all good looking, but, well, I dont know how to say it in a nice way, so I wont say it. We started talking with them and as we all drank more beer, we all started getting more friendly and what not. By the time we were done eating, we had made plans with them to go bowling :) We took a taxi from the restaurant to the bowling alley. As the bowling game progressed, my score didnt. I had the worst game ever, with a total of 111, I think. I had fun, and the girls bought beer, so whatever  After bowling, Chahan and Sugiyan had plans with the three females to go to Karaoke. I told Debi I was going to go back to the hotel, shower and go to bed. He agreed that that was a good idea, and so the two of us made our way back to the hotel.
(Sorry if you are getting sick of this, but I am enjoying writing it, so either bear with me or just skip reading this, because I think all of the footbag related stuff has already been posted, almost. :D )
On our way back, we stopped and a conbini to get some snacks and drinks. I bought some delicious cookies and some ginger drink, that would apparently take all of the alcohol from my body and make me a healthy boy in the morning. It was Debi's recommendation. :P ON our way out of the conbini, down the sidewalk a little, there were two women, whom appeared to be waiting for someone. We decided to take that way back to the hotel  As we approached them, I said Hello, and that immediatley got their attention. Speaking english to women in Japan ESPECIALLY in Okinawa, will always advance to somewhat of a conversation  They were both waiting for their friends to come so they could go back to the club they were at and continue tangoing :!: Now, come on, if you think that after they told me that, my next question wasnt "Wow! You can tango?! What exactly does a tango dance look like?"
then you are mistaken :D They were both wearing tight black spandex pants and they both could apparently unlock their hips and throw their hips around like a lasso being twirled by a cowboy 8O Well, that was all that I needed to see to make my night complete. A few minutes after that, we said our goodbyes, handed them a flyer for the next days event, went home and slept. It was about 3:30 in the morning.
Sunday, February 26 10:30am
My alarm went off. I was in no mood to wake up, but check out was at 11, so I had no choice. I called over to Debi's room, next to mine, and he was just waking up too. We somehow managed to wake up, clean, and pack all by 10:55. We made our way down from our 5th floor rooms just to be greeted by two women who were also checking out. I love Japan :!: There are so many women...
I need a break... More to come...thanks for reading, if you have

Now that you have a recap...

We checked out of the hotel. It was raining. Oh well. Rain in Japan is A LOT better than rain in Michigan. As I said before (I think), from the hotel to the site was about 30 minutes, if there is no traffic. The problem with Japan is that there is always traffic, and a lot of it. I think that as soon as all of the roads in Japan were made, the makers looked at what they did, realized how narrow the roads were and went 'shit'.
We found the site, and I dont think it took that much more than 45 minutes from when we left the hotel. It was at the uh, Im not sure how to say it in english  kind of like a city hall type building. If you literally translate, it would be the public everyone building, so maybe that will give you an idea... We parked at a nearby post office (there is no where to park in Japan either, except for on the side of the road, which is really 35 percent IN the road, or too expensive, pubic parking areas.) This was illegal, but neither of us cared  On the way to the post office, as we turned a corner, we saw Haseken taking a picture of a statue of a Shisa (Okinawa tiger) with a footbag in its mouth. Great idea, I thought :)
After parking, being that we had about 2 hours before we could shred in the public building area, we decided to go check out Shuri (I think that was the name) castle, which was a 5 or 10 minute walk from the site. We wanted to get our picture taken by someone, so of course we found a cute girl to do it  As it turned out, her name was Chikako, and she was in Okinawa on business from Tokyo. We ended up getting a picture taken with all of us, and then the three of us (Chikako, Debi, me) walked around the castle, and afterwards went to a really nice restaurant that was recommended to us by a sidewalk guard. It was so good!! I want to eat it right now as a matter of fact...
I have to go to potty...

MAN a month can pass by really quick.

This is going to be such a crappy summary of the rest of my time spent in Okinawa.

After we ate, me and Debi went to the site. Upon entering, we were greeting by some familiar faces, but for me mostly unfamiliar faces. I warmed up slowly and played for the rest of the day.
I didnt do anything impressive there, except hit pixie ducking paradon. I had a lot of fun and cant wait to go there again.

NEXT TOURNEY

TOKYO SHREDDER GATHERING 4
APRIL 2nd (my Birthday), 2006

I got out to Tokyo the morning of Saturday, April 1st. I took a night bus (which suck, but are cheap), and thus was fairly tired from 8 hour trip. I met up with Yuka, this girl I knew from Michigan, and we went to get breakfast near Shinjuku station. Her parents are the ones that let me stay with them for free anytime I go out there, which is really cool. Her grandparents have two houses, and they were at the other one, so I had a whole house to stay in while i was there, just about 1 week.

Highlights:

won most rippin' run
2nd in shred 30
4th in phat combo
got named MVP

won:
t-shirt
firebag
bottle of Okinawa wine

got:
birthday cake from everyone at the party afterwards.

Im not sure if I hit anything good there or not. I did get to shred with Takumi, which I was looking foward to. The kid is smooth, and I like that.

Good catch up!

Now recently...

Been working on Rubberman 2
motion bsos
p. blender (flip)
flip blender
flip spins coming along.
torque (bsos)
p. torque bsos, i think...

starting to feel stronger...

Hitomi got me three juggling balls for my birthday, and Im sure everyone knows that I like balls  so I have been juggling a lot again and lovin it.

Im going to meet charhan today, so I will post tomorrow. Also, I will try to find shred footage from TSG 4 and tell you where it is.

It is warm today (20 C) so I will have fun.

PS eat more bananas

TJ-

Nice to see you're posting again. That was a fun hanami-shred last weekend.
I might head down to Osaka this Saturday. Kenzo has to work from 4, so we might start kicking around 12.

See you sometime soon...

Adam-

Saturday I am going to USJ with Hitomi, so I wont shred. Sunday would be a lot better, if you could come then instead... Even if went to USJ Sunday instead of Saturday, I have work until 2:30, so I wouldnt get down to Ocat until about 3:30.

Fetus-

Yesterday I hit all of the components as follows,

matador bsos
sumo bs
legbeaters are fairly easy for me, so they arent the problem.

My phat combos I hit were:

phoenix > p whirl
Royal assassin > pixie paradon

Hi.
Yesterday I didnt kick. My legs are sore from the shred two days ago. I think I will only be kicking for about an hour tomorrow. Im getting interviewed by a local youth/ community magazine called OJO. I have to work at 1, so I wont have much time to kick. After work I am going to USJ with Hitomi. Today I am going to a famous street with Hitomi and her mom to look at cherry blossoms.

By the way, I spent the last 4 or 5 days reading The Da Vinci Code. I could not stop reading it. It was a really good book. :D

Yesterday I went down to OCAT to meet Sugiyan, Debi, Kenzou, and this old man who lives right by me. I met Sugiyan at about 2, and we were shredding by 2:30 or so. We played until about 8, I think. I was really tired from the previous night's fun, which I will tell you about...

Saturday, April 15th
I wake up and get prepared to teach the old man that I teach. I didnt have the text that I use, but luckily I had a copy of two of the pages. That was sufficient for 1.5 hours of teaching. After that, Hitomi and I had plans to go to USJ, but the weather was terrible, so I told her that I thought it would be better if we went another day. She was kind of upset, but she got over it. We ended up going out to eat and just chillin. At about 8:30pm, we said good bye and I went to go hang out with my buddy Gavin. We end up going to a lively part of Osaka and walk around trying to figure out what to do. We decide that drinking beer would help get our creative juices flowing, so we bought some beer and continued our journey. We sat on a staircase just off of the main road and pounded a couple beers. We then found a taco bar and instantly went in  The bartenders were pretty cute, and there were mostly foreigners in the bar (in total, there were about 10 people in the entire bar). We start talking to the bartenders. Gavin starts asking the cute one to come out with us. She says yes. I farted a little from being surprised, and then I confirm that she is going out with us when she gets off. As it turned out, she had just gotten off :!: We chill for a little longer and I had a feeling it was going to be an interesting night, mostly because we played this game, with a difficulty of rock, scissors, paper, and I won, so they gave me a free Tequila shot!
Well, we left that bar and went to this other bar a little down the street. As I walked in, I noticed a lot of foreigners. That's not a bad thing, by any means, but I like places that have only natives; it makes me realize that I am in a different part of the world :D
The enitre place was shaped like a U, with the entrance at the bottom of the U. The three of us walked in, and made our way to the right. It was fairly crowded, but that doesnt bother me. As I turned to look at the other side of the bar, my eyes immediatley made contact with by far the most attractive female in the bar. sitting next to her was the second most attractive female in the bar (probably  ) I made some stupid Gesture towards them, kind of an ice breaker, at least for me  . As it turned out, the bartender that we went there with was friends with those two girls :!: She hooked it up! :!: We made our way around the bar and she introduced us. The girls name is Aiya. She is going to be opening up a bar soon, so I will go to see her.
To make a long story short (I think I failed at that already though...), we kept drinking and talking the whole night. We went to one other bar together, and then at about 5:30am, we left that bar and went home. I got her phone number, but I doubt she will hang out with me again. I hope she does.
Oh yeah, she was 32. I am 24. I like that

...back to shred...

because of that, I dont think I pushed myself too hard, although my barflies are getting better. Far motions are getting to be more understandable to. Spins too, although I developed a bad habit of spinning too soon on my one side, and breaking that is hard, but dont you worry, I will fix it

hit:

spinning dp. illusion (bsos)
blurrier
I think that is it

Today I plan on schooling sets, I will tell you about it tomorrow...
