Well, i was wondering why everybody says the new filler for footfighters stinks? I went on the footfighters website, and found out that footfighters have two different kinds of filler A:(lead shot and plastic pellets) or B: (a grit filler) which one is the bad kind of filler?

id imagine the lead is the better one.... grit? like..? shit i cant imagine.. mine feels like aquarium rocks.. but i havent opened it to see...

Actually, when I said the filler sucks I meant the grit.

Why the fuck would anyone EVER want grits in their bag?

Think of the physics going on. Rough things grind shit up, smooth things don't.

yep, def. filled w/ some kind of aquirium rocks... clearish, with blue flakes... mostly round, but some that have broken are semi sharp...

aha! gotcha, but is there a noticeable difference besides being a little rollier? cause i know grits are stally, since i have an emmings, but

they must MURDER the footbag!

my footdfigher is becoming my fav. bag quickly... its small, and i dont find it rolly at all... well... when it hits outside my toebox, it rolls off, but i think thats me.

i reccomend a ff any day. theyre so nice, but i had to get used to it first...

and if you dont like the fil, just change it. not like it's never happened.

You're wrong, FootFighter has already changed filler, now they are filled with small metal pellets (not lead) and plastic! Footbags live longer.

It's much better than a previous one (lead + grit). But if you like "old" filler you can order it too.

Actually Tom, the Filler in both instances is very good. If you treat th bag well, the grit should be a non issue. I studied the material and filler of the footfighter kyle hewitt now owns. Amaretto is interesting, though I believe the delicacy of it can be ignored if you're willing to put the extra effort into babying the bag. When I really think about it, it's not really that much more weak than it's facile cousin.

Perhaps you are ignoring the important bit, rough things are abrasive, period.

Abrasive things DAMAGE other less resilient things, such as facile or amaretta.

Play quality is one facet of a good filler, but the effect it has on the bags life should never be over looked.

You can't possibly try to argue that a rough substance and a smooth substance would have the same effect on a bag, it's just fact and you can't change that.

Even if you pick the bag up with your hands all the time and treat it like a baby that doesn't change the fact that every time the bag lands rough shit is grinding against the inside of it.

I think rough fillers like grits and aquarium rocks and so on are just cheap ways of achieving the desired effect of having the filler not be slippery. I think more creativity is required in achieving the goal, not short cuts.

Yeah, I definitely agree on rough fillers as a really detrimental factor in shortening a bag's life. I have a Footfighter that is soon to be retired because of the "grit" filler, no matter how choice in stallability it is. The abrasions on the Amaretta have become noticeable from the inside out (looking wrinkled), and patching the bag up is frustrating. I do have a Sonic Footfighter which I have switched the filler to something better, and it's condition is still as it was since I purchased it 4 months ago.

Tom is correct in which creativity is a huge and beneficial factor in receiving the desired results for how bags perform. I have experimented with fillers here and there, and have found concepts that have performed well with what I want in a bag. Sure, performance is key for any bag to play well, but to have something like filler to continue the bag's longevity in both structure and performance is masterful.

Gordon Bevier has a footfighter. I assume its the grit filler, it is very rough.

Though the Amaretta material is actually softer than facile, this bag is quite a bit stiffer than a good facile bag, unlike lesh bags which are made of this material too.

maybe yes, maybe no. fuck that, i will never spend money for these "bags".

Tom is right, by the way. i bought the same aquarium rocks which are in ff for 5 PLN (1.25$) to my aquarium.

I'm not a big fan of foot fighters, personally. I tryed a bunch of them at Kickass and they really do seem... cheap. There's something about them that makes them inferior to pretty much any other 32-P I've played with. I think that alot of thier inferiority has to do with the fabric.... I really don't know
