Challenge me (simple, yet gets to the point)...

Post by Lee »

Okay, so I've been playing for about a year and a half now. I'm completely tiltless in all of my runs, although my runs are only about 10 contacts worth.

So today, I was schooling my atomic/tapping sets.

I've hit these both sides so far.

Tap
Tapping legover
Tapping butterfly
Atomic legover
Atomic butterfly
Atom smasher

I'd like some challenges that have quite a few contacts within them so I can become more consistent. I'd also like some unique 4 adds to do.

Yeah.

if you do a doube dex move such as atomsmasher or legbeater, you can technically do either dex at least symple, if not symposium. if you do the first dex symp, its an alpha whatever, if you do the second dex symp, its beta, etc. so alpha legbeater is symp atomic butterfly.

Wow.
I barely hit alpha tap.

Now these challenges don't all have to be about atomic and tapping sets you know.

:) yeah, im just a fan of atomic stuff. and having the foundation atomic moves is cool, but extending into 5 add atomics with symps and whatnot is ever cool, in my opinion

Try: pixie ss whirl>blender>blurry whirl for a tripless combo, rpt on flipside
the good thing about this combo is that it forces you to school either your flip whirl and strong blender or vice versa
also: school ripwalks back and forth, try for about 20 total
it should help you to start integrating more backside moves into your style
for this also try:
drifters b2b (15)
stepping ss butterfly (aka:sidewalk)
stepping ss butterfly>ripwalk>stepping ss butterfly>ripwalk (20)
stepping paradox sets (blurs both sides)
you might also want to consider skoolin the rubberman drill if you have good frontside sets and blurry sets. ..it will help you with your shuffle

consistency, effciency of motion, and knowing your body are key to smoothness
