ok, i nkow this is gonna sound really lame, but i've been into freestyle for about a year, and i can't to anything but inside stalls, toe stalls, and inside kicks. I've tried to dex but i'm fat and it just seems completely impossible. So...........any general tips?
i've got modded lavers, but i'm not sure if theyre leather or mesh(kinda confused bout that)
Soooo...
its okay dude, im fat to0 you just have to practice, practice, practice!
it also helps if you have someone near you who is better than you so that they can help you learn. Which brings me to my next question. Where do you live?
Ya, lol.
I have 2 Mr. Sandbags, and a Mr. Sandbag facile.(was using sandmaster at time of original post) I live in Charleston, WV, and i usually kick for around an hour a day, or until i get to tired
Sometimes you just have to try and fail over and over until you finally get it. When I first tried around the worlds, it seemed impossible to move my foot that fast. Now I've got the dex down, it's the ending stall that still gives me troubles sometimes.
All I'm going to say is PRACTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats all you need. Get a couple of friends interested in the game then all of you can crit each other and give advice to one another.
Mchaz: Work on hitting it up after the dex. Are you pretty good with your toe delays? If not work on them and it'll come easier.

Eventually, with enough practice, you'll find that the beginning tricks are basically all about the right positioning, as opposed to really quick dexing. That helps, but it isn't the most important thing.
I used to be able to do a legover one in a hundred times and thing it was becaue I was too slow. I used to think mirages were impossible too...because I tried to leap over the bag...as opposed fall into a more correct position while attempting it.
Trust me, you're fine. Just need more enthusiasm. And less pessimism. And probably less food... >_>
i honestly think that the first few months of footbag are the hardest (IMO) and thats a fact, it wasnt until recently that i started learning 3 adds! But EXACTLY the first dex IS always the hardest, but its the greatest dex you'll have because you gain a sense of accomplishment from it, its the same for a lot of the tricks you learn throught your footbag career (career isnt quite the right word...) but yeah the points still the same
