My mom left me a message saying that you called, Kevin. Fack, I was so tired though because I didn't get home from work until 4am
.
And Anssi, if you want to call me your best bet is my home phone. My cell is never on.
Ok, outdoor sesh yesterday was really sweet but unfortunately ended prematurely when I made an error thinking that it was an hour later than what it actually was. Fuck! So I only kicked for about an hour and a half, but still it was really sweet.
I felt really creative and strong yesterday.
- Rev. Swirl x 7 bs
- Sidewalk > Gyro Legover bsos
- Pdx Drifter > Blur bsos with Vortex > Stepping ss Whirl midstring
- Atomic Drifter > Blur > Atomic Drifter bs
- A run with a hellofalotta Refractions
- Tombstone > Tombstone to start a string. My goal is to hit 3 now.
Guess that's all that I can remember. I hope to go over there this afternoon again, with my camera to make a video, but it looks like it might be too windy to play
. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes though.

That sounds so hard! I'd have to go back to the drilling table for that one!
So yesterday it was a B - E - A - utiful day outside, maxing out pretty close to 18 degrees with a bit more wind then I would prefer, but still gorgeously warm weather. I couldn't let that pass up, and had akick for about an hour and a half. I even filmed it and made a video, which will be up whenever Kevin has the time to get it uploaded for me. A few hours later, the YMCA sesh followed. That lasted approx another hour and a half due to it being a holiday.
The one at the YMCA was really really good. I was busting out really good, unique runs more often then what I normally do, most likely as a result from kicking outdoors more (and not drilling, but plain ole shredding).
- Tombstone > Sidewalk x 2 > run
- Blurry Drifter > Ripwalk x 2 > run
- Drifter x 8 > Drifter > Vortex x 2 > Drifter > Pdx Drifter > Drifter > bail
- Bigwalk > Blurry Refraction bsos
- Run with Blender > Stepping trick bsos
- Haze > Butterfly > Fog > Butterfly bs
- Food Processor > Blurry Refraction off the foot
That's what I can remember from that sesh. Other highlights are just runs, one of which must have been a good 25 contacts with about 80% of it being genuine unique or something. It felt sooo good. I'm also back into the swing of throwing Refractions in midstring, adding something fresh to my strings.
I wish I could post what I hit during my afternoon sesh, but you will see it

I'm glad I took that opportunity to kick that day, because the weather got worse as the days went by. On Easter it even snowed! Luckily for me, the weather smartened up and allowed me to kick outdoors again. I also had a drill sesh on Sunday which was good, and then took yesterday off because my knee was acting up a little bit.
- Rev. Swirl > Spinning Clip > Rev. Swirl > Gyro Clip x 2
- Blurry Drifter > Ripwalk x 2 > run with Smoke bsos
- Tapdown > Tombstone > Stepping Mirage x 2 > run
- Dyno > Dyno bsos
- Smear > Parkwalk > Stepping Mirage > Smear > Parkwalk > Stepping Mirage > Smudge > Dimwalk > Blur > Smudge > Dimwalk > Blur (23 contacts, had the last Blur off my foot otherwise I would have repeated that entire drill
)
- Paradon > Pdx Drifter > Blur x 2 off the foot
- Run that had Diving Clipper > Rev. Swirl > Gyro Osis, than a few contacts later had Diving Clipper > Rev. Swirl > Dyno on the other side
At the beginning of the sesh, I didn't think I would go for runs because the wind would always pick up and die down momentarily, but I did and it was great. They were really genuine too. I remember I tried to bsos Rubberman, and the string went something like:
Rubberman > Ripwalk > Stepping Mirage > Parkwalk > Ripwalk > Ripwalk > Spinning Butterfly > Sidewalk > Schmoe > Dimwalk > Stepping Mirage > Pixie Whirl > Ripwalk > Dyno > Butterfly > Ripwalk > 5 contacts of Rubberman then dropping
Maybe it was a bit shorter, but it was a very genuine string with only the one Butterfly after the Dyno (of that I'm certain). Those seem to be a lot of the tricks I've been using these days, so later on in the sesh I tried to focus on putting more DLOs and Drifters in with some success.
In the middle of the sesh, I also worked on my Shred 30, Sick 3 and Sick 1 for Montana. My Shred 30 run-throughs went really well. Once I had a drop midstring, and the *other* I dropped with 2 seconds remaining after I forgot the last few tricks and kept going. The rest had around 3 - 4 drops. I have a safety Sick 3 to hit, and when I hit that I'll just make up another one on the spot, while my Sick 1s are pretty tasty.
EDIT - Just figured it out the score to that *other* Shred 30. It came out to +210, by far the highest I've ever done. I hope I can pull something like that off in competition!!!!

I've been playing since, but have been taking it easy because my left calf/shin has been acting up again. Fortunately last night at the YMCA it didn't bother me as much which is great. I'm taking today off and will probably play on Sunday just to see how it is. I just want to be in top form for Montana next Friday!
So last night at the Y. Well, wow. Mr. Kevin Regamey most likely hit Alberta's first ever quad dex which was soo huge. It was really crazy, and to be honest I wasn't even expecting it. I thought he was going to do Sailing Legover > Smog or something similar, but nope! How wrong I was
.
As for myself, I was playing pretty good. Some good highlights, and I also hit a few tricks myself
.
- Bladerunner bs
- Flurricane
- Symp Whirling Far Legover
- Symp Whirling Pdx Illusion
- Symp Whirling Pdx Mirage
- Dyno x 7
- Blurry Drifter x 2 bs
- One specific long run that had Pdx Drifter > Vortex midstring (20 - 30 contacts of lots of genuine stuffs)
What was really cool was that the first time I hit Symp Whirling Far Legover, I sealed it to a run and ended it with the Symp Whirling Pdx Illusion, which was the first time I hit that trick too! So cool.
On another note, the session ended for me when I slightly pulled a muscle in my lower back doing Vortex. It's feeling alright today, but it's a friendly reminder to play it cool this week.

Thanks for the props, though I did have to jump fo rthe seal that was about 12 inches high
. Anyways, I don't know if attempting that trick was good or not because my hip has been acting up. Today it feels fine, but the real ring dinger will be tomorrow when I test it out doing atomic sets (the only motion that really caused pain).
Other than that though... Kicked with Rory on Sunday at the YMCA and then I had a solo sesh on Monday. I think the cement pad that I used outdoors is giving me my shin pains. Fuck! Such a choice location. Maybe I need to make an investment in some shred matts. Anyways, some highlights from the two sessions:
- Whirling ss Dyno
- Spinning Wauxpin
- Rev. Swirl x 11 on one side and x 10 on the other
- Dyno x 8 off the foot
- Paradon > Pdx Mirage > DoD > Pdx Mirage x 3
- Gyro Legover > DoD x 2 > run
- Torque > Butterfly x 6
- some solid strings on Sunday (one had Stepping Mirage > Tapdown > Tombstone midstring, which felt really fancy AND was on my weakside)
I've started taking Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM supplements again in the hopes that it will help my hip out. I *really really really* want to shred and drill hard before Montana, then shred even harder during it, but fuck I would probably kill myself if I did it in this condition
.
Well, I think I'm going to head out and go for a walk with me mem!

Have been keeping busy and keeping away from the internet (as if you haven't noticed
), but that may as soon change once I move in with Kevin aka qphox next weekend and get high speed.
Umm... so for the most part I've been taking it easy and letting my legs recuperate from Montana. I've had a few sessions here and there and working hard to break in my new Abshire. Friday at the YMCA my knees were really sore so I couldn't hit much in terms of runs, so I just focused on hitting new tricks and links.
- Gyro Symp DLO bs
- Spinning PS DLO bs
- weakside Superduperfly
- weakside Whirlwind > Spinning Blender
- Pixie Ducking Torque off the foot
- Muted Nuke ss Torque unsealed
- Gyro Diving Legover bsos
- Spinning Zulu Legover bsos
- Gyro Weaving Pickup bsos
After lots of stretching and sleep, my legs feel good today so after I hit the YMCA nad lift weights with my bud Nolan, I planned on having a solo drilling sesh. It feels as though my technique and form have degraded so I think that will be one area to focus on today.
On Monday I have to be at work for 6:30 in the morning
. That means that I will have to wake up at around 4:45 - 5am. Ick!

This will probably be my last post for this week, as I'm going to be hella busy getting ready to move and so forth. Soooo, yeah.
I forgot some things that I hit on Friday so I'll lay that out here. I also had that sesh at the YMCA this evening but it was only an hour long since they close at 9 on Sundays
. Still, my form felt pretty good. Actually, my sets were all feeling pretty solid, while other downtime components felt a bit rusty. Oh well. After I move into the city I'll be playing a lot more (and hopefully getting Kevin to play more as well
).
- Gyro Osis x 15 on one side and x 11 on the other
- Gyro Clipper x 29
- Dyno > Rev. Swirl x 2
- Dyno > Spinning Clipper x 2
- Mobius > Stepping Whirl almost bsos (first time hitting that link, but couldn't stick it on my one side
)
- Pdx Drifter > Pdx Torque x 2 ... long time since I've hit that
- Tombstone x 2 bs ... took a while
And that's that. Hopefully I can get a few sessions in this week. Who knows. You guys take care

Thanks Andrew! That means a lot since I've looked up to you and the rest of the Hackrifice crew since I started playing
.
Feeling soo tired this evening, but it's my night off from footbag and I shall begin the packing process. I had two sessions so far - 3 hours on Tuesday and 2.5 hours on Wednesday, and will have a third tomorrow evening and perhaps another on Sunday. It feels like the footbag Gods have been shining a light on me these days, with all the things I've been hitting...
- Gravedigger > Tombstone bs
- Pdx Torque > Pdx Drifter > Vortex bs
- Pdx Torque > Spinning Clipper bs (sooo hard)
- Montage > Whirlwind
- Food Processor > Blurry Whirl bs
- Double Spinning Clipper > Pdx Torque

- Blurry Drifter > Blurry Whirl x 2
- Tombstone > Stepping Whirl x 2
- Blurriest x 6
- Blurriest > Blurriest bsos
- Mobius > Sidewalk bsos
- Montage bsos
- 25 contact run starting with Rubberman > BAP Drill > Whirl War 1
- Run with DDD > Ripwalk x 2, Barfly > Sidewalk x 2 and dropping the last contact of the BAP drill
And on May 10th, I tamed the Beast.
Toodles!
