i decided to go crazy on the shoes i have i removed all the material from the inside toe and both sides, all that is left is a very thin fake leather material... i also cut all of the material out of the tounge of the shoe except right up top for a little support cushion where the laces tighten down... once i put them on and tightened the laces up i noticed that sinced i removed so much material that it closed up the toe box alot... so i was trying to think of a way to keep it open and this is what i came up with.... it is such a huge area to catch the bag with, it is like wearing a baseball mitt on my feet lol i can do toe delays with my eyes closed now lol...
Those don't look too bad, I like what you did with the toe box. I might have to give that a try and if it works well you might have a mod for shoes named after you . I hate adidas stan smiths by the way. I got these pair of adidas running shoes that have a monster inside stalling area. I feel like i'm cheating when I have them on, it has what I like to call a clipper pit because the bag falls into the pit that the sole and the side of the shoe form. I might have to post pics, those shoes might have potentiel. I'm in the same shoe predicement you are though, no lavers and I need to improvise.
these shoes are actually made by Osiris called the Troma... i can't tell if i like the mod yet or not... i think it works a little to well and the bag sticks in the toe box too good... i need to use them a little more and decide if i like it or not i'm watching my niece and nephew tonight and my nephew is a handfull so its hard to do anything
Impressive mod! That spacer idea is brilliant. The toe itself still looks a tad convex, but I may be looking at it wrong. That softer part is a bit far back from the toe if that's what you're calling the toe box. It probaly won't hurt too bad to use that toe box for now, but man...when you get those new lavers for your birthday, you're gonna feel like a pug in dog heaven!
