Good times, especially when Damian (sp?) left that message on my phone, OMG I lughed for like 7 hours after hearing that. I forgot all about that night in Seattle 05', when we thought he was crazy for seeing spiders by the firdge, and screaming in the middle of the night (for those of you who dont know what i'm talking about, Damian screams like a girl when he is halucinating(sp?) spiders crawling all over him in a dark kitchen)

Anywho, i went to a concert last night. and when i was crowd surfing, someone with really sharp ass nails (i think) stabbed me. fucking sucks. great concert though.

Second outdoor session of the year. I felt average but if it were two months ago this would have been a good session, so I really feel like my level of play is rising. 
I could either go long, have variety, or go sort of hard, but never all at once, so I suppose that's why I felt average. When I feel good everything seamlessly runs together and I can throw down long busts with nice links and hard moves for me. That wasn't today. I also beat a dead horse. I am still beating it. Why do I keep beating this horse? It is already dead.
At any rate, here's what I hit:
- a run with blurry whirl bsos twice (4x bw total)
- footed a run with tomahawk and spinning whirl both bsos (didn't get one of the spinning whirls)
- had an easy time throwing the following fives all over the place (I would consider myself really bothsided, but for clarification, all of these are bs): blurry whirl, spinning ducking pdx mirage/osis/butterfly, spinning whirl, ps whirl, tomahawk, and phoenix. Pretty ho hum but I enjoy them. My goal is to to that list mobius, ps whirl more solidly, fog, blurry drifter, and paradox blender.
- shuffle felt good
- I threw pdx whirl>whirl>rpt>drifter>pdx drifter>rpt after a 20-something contact run
I'm on spring break next week and the weather has been quite nice as of late. Justin and I are going to try and get out and kick as much as possible and do some demoing to prep ourselves for the summer.

I had another pretty average feeling session. The people that showed up were Justin, Ricky, Scott, and Miles.
Highlights:
- phoenix>blurry whirl bsos
- blurry whirl>spinning whirl bsos
- blurry whirl>blurry whirl at the end of a midlength run (18ish?) that had spinning whirl bsos in it (ez)
- I had a LOT of runs with 3-5 unique 5's in them. I may have had a run or two that had 6 but I can't really remember.
- footed dlo>drifter>pdx dlo>drifter>rpt (first and only try - thanks for the inspiration on this cool drill Mirken)
- footed spinning osis>drifter>gyro osis>drifter>rpt (after maybe two or three tries)
- hatchet bsos first try (also the first time I had hit it either side)
- footed pixie ducking osis>hatchet/tomahawk, I REALLY like the first link
- EDIT: forgot that I also hit pdx whirl 8x in the middle of a pretty length run with other cool shit in it that I can't recall at the moment
Footbag is fun! The session started really slowly but it was a fun time shooting the shit with everyone.
I'm both amped and a little apprehensive concerning the summer. On the one hand there will be outdoor sessions, hanging out after sessions, and all sorts of great shit (UHH 5+ JAMS/FESTIVALS?? YEAH.). On the other hand I'll be tempted into soloing more and that could either end well or poorly. Hopefully I can learn how to solo more efficiently while both having a good time and getting stuff done. There are so many things I want to work and solidify in my game but I really want to keep my game as spontaneous as its been lately. I really feel that when I solo I have the tendency to only school repeating combos, consecutives, and single moves over and over again. While this makes me really consistent I think it makes my game way too compact (form-wise -- doing move X over and over again really shows you how to hit it very efficiently and solidly but it won't look very artistic). I don't mean to sound cocky, but I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on my game: it's just not the kind I want to hear. I really want to have a nice, flowing, and spontaneous game -- not just consistency. Consistency is reflective of a strong player, but not a very interesting one.
Hopefully updates will continue to be frequent.
Also, I apologize for my highlights not being very definitive, but it's really more for me to be able to look back and map my progress later on.

Also hit Smear, Ripwalk, Blur, Dimwalk, Parkwalk, and almost smudge BSOS. Not in the same run. Smear and ripwalk was in the same run, dimwalk and parkwalk was in the same run too.
Man, somedays I just don't feel it. I think it might be this crap weather. Lame

Had a garbage session today in terms of play, buuut...
I kicked with Allan!!! It's weird, I always play horribly with Allan. He's tied for my favorite player, but something about his game is just so inspiring that I want to do his combos and I end up not sticking to my guns and just getting in a funk. I may have hit one or two runs over the hour and half that were up to my standards... garbage. 
Afterwards we bounced over to Zerbe's and had some fun before we had to take off. The Zerbes' dog is super cool. We talked some about SJFF and hopefully the ball will get rolling soon for that.
Allan's game looks dope in units (just because units look super cool).
