ooo baby i love footbag. played for 2 hours with jeremy. For the first 40 minutes I was infuego, and then it slowed down.. hunger set in and i was done for. I think I remember most of the good stuff..

had some very, very, very good runs.
run with smear, fear, legbeater and ripwalk

run with ps mirage BS, ducking osis BS, ducking butterfly, ripwalk and p drifter or p whirl i cant remember but definitely the most 4's i've ever hit in a run, and it had good 3's for me also, symp mirage, symp pixie, dlo, etc., not just BOP.

Jeremy, Emily and I have briefly talked about a footbag roadtrip this summer, if I have enough money I want to go all through northern California, Oregon, Washington and possibly Canada, but I think I probably won't have enough money to make it all the way to Canada.

my spinning is coming along slowly but surely, and gyro sucks, I was actually trying gyro mirage yesterday and came close twice..my timing is off.

Forgot yesterday i beat my cons. ducking clipper record, X6 now.

If you can spin you can surely gyro.. I think of it has half a spin, without planting the setting leg.

had like an hour and a half session with jeremy, it was really hot and i didnt get enough sleep last night; felt real sloppy and like i couldnt string stuff together very well.

played for like 3 hours with jeremy today.

drilled spinning, ducking, stepping, atomic, everything. hit a few cool combos,
nothing especially amazing except one run with 10-15 unique 3's, a shitload of 2's, and ripwalk and ps mirage. another good run with lots of 3's also between 20-25 contacts.

also did some work on my osis/butterfly.

fun session; gonna put a video of jeremy and i up tomorrow!

Just watched a few footbag videos... REALLY made me want to go shred. I was all set to grab my lavers and start kicking... and then I got up realized how sore i am.

It sucks I can't shred as much as I want to because of my weak human body. I was getting kind of bummed out there.. but now I remember my shred mats are on the way!

So hopefully that will allow me to shred even more.. if not i'll just have to sack up and stop acting like a little bitch. (while still making sure i don't self-destruct by playing too much footbag.) sigh.

I recently came to the conclusion that footbag is just as important to me as my education. It seems kind of warped to me... but I can't help it. Seems like every session I fall more and more in love with it.

*EDIT* So, I ended up going to practice with Jeremy and Emily by the laundry room, and we randomly met 3-4 guys who used to play footbag pretty regularly and hadn't kicked for a while.. they got their lavers and shorts, and one of them was actually hitting smog and ducking pixie stuff pretty cleanly! it was fucking sick. we're probably going to kick with them sometime next week.

I hit some good stuff too,

ugh... gonna be sore tomorrow but it was worth it. got some practice done for the assembly too.

oH YEAH! so i also blizzard and atomic osis in a run, and hit sidewalk>ripwalk>sidewalk super clean for the first time! busted it in front of the new people I met so it felt really good to show off!!!

Whoa, sweet!! I should read blogs more, so I can find awesome news like this.

If you guys actually end up doing this you should get in touch with the clubs in the area like Sole Purpose (portland), Rain City Shred (seattle!!), the Eugene guys... etc. There are a TON of jams going on in Washington and Oregon during the summer so if you plan accordingly you could take part in some very fun stuff. Let me know what's up with this plzkthx

Wow, So! I just checked out the footbag.org listings.. Emily Jeremy and I's schedules permitting, I'd like to make it to the Canada Cup of Footbag maybe, and DEFINITELY the U.S. Open footbag championships in Portland, Oregon! I will be going to this no matter what!!!

I don't know what you guys' schedule would be, but the weekend after US Open is the Seattle Hempfest which always results in a couple days of footbag in the sun at this huge festival.

Looks like I'll be attending the event in oregon, august 11th-13th, I'd like to also make it up to seattle and shred there but not sure if we'll want to stay a whole week.. I'll be figuring out all the details in the next few weeks probably.

So, i didnt get a chance to play footbag yesterday.

Today, I saw some people that I knew but had never seen me play footbag circle kicking. So my ego walked over to them...

busted some tiltless strings, ducking clippers and butterflies, drifters and whirls, atomsmasher and legbeater for em. Forgot to mention I was wearing pants and my running shoes! Fun stuff. They were thoroughly impressed.. as were a few other people who came by and joined the circle. Ducking impressed them the most.

Fun stuff. Tonight gonna prepare for the assembly we're giving tomorrow. Footbag for like 100 kids! Exciting.

Today, for like 40 minutes I was a god to a bunch of middle school kids!

Haha, it was really fun. I was signing autographs for all these little girls, and Jeremy signed this kid's forehead. so here's how it went...

We showed part of the intro to the Lion's Den, and then came out and gave a speech about footbag, demonstrated basic kicks, had a kick battle with Emily (at this point, we asked the audience who they thought would win and so people started cheering for emily, and then all the boys took over and started cheering for me.

Jeremy then told half of them to cheer for emily and count her kicks, and the other side to cheer for me and count my kicks.... so some of the girls from my cheering side snuck over to her side! She won though, so obviously they knew what was up.

Im only mentioning what i hit because i figure emily and jeremy will also blog this.

we demonstrated basic stalls, toes and insides, basic 2's, atw, pixie, pickup, illusion, and then linked tricks atw>pickup rpt. and pickup>illusion rpt -dropped once here but then hit it.

Then we talked more, and showed them a shred circle. I hit some ok tiltless, dlo i think, legbeater, ripwalk, possibly something else cool.

Then my shred 30!! It went really well I think. I hit some good tiltless stuff, toe ducking, a symp mirage, hm.. I dont remember I'm going to watch the vid and then add stuff to this. I dropped twice I think, maybe 3 times.

Jeremy did his 2 min. routine and we closed with a bow, and handed out slips with footbag websites on them. I answered a few questions for kids, a few of them asked me what the record for consecutive kicks was.. I said 63,000, I hope I was right?

At that point I was swarmed for autographs. And TONS of kids wanted to buy a footbag geez, we could have made a grip. We gave each class room a sandbag to share.

Then it was recess, and the kids wanted to play!

At first I was going to go outside with Jeremy and Emily, but a pack of 7th or 8th grade boys caught me and wanted to shred.. so I played in a circle for a while with them, I didn't hit anything great but to them tiltless stuff was awesome. (It was early in the morning.)

Then Emily came in and said my presense was requested outside... hahaha... As soon as I went outside Emily was still signing autographs, and they swarmed! I must have signed a dozen little girl's arms. Some of them had paper with them.. oh, and one guy wanted Jeremy to sign his pants. So I played a bit more footbag with them and then we left.

Longest post of my life.

So much fun.

We got it on video.

but my camera can't read the format Jeremy's camera recorded it in. I should have set mine up too, damnit. but yeah, Ill post that later probably.

I had a great time doing a demo with Kolo in school about 6 months ago, altough it was only for one class.
I did'nt get to sign autographs tough, since they where all as old as us!

Rolled my ankle somewhat badly today..first drifter>whirl attempt of the day before I was really warmed up.. after i hit the drifter i basically planted my clipper foot straight down on my ankle for the whirl then fell in agony.

Going to ice the shit out of it.. probably no clippers or osis on my right foot for a while. Fantastic.. my flip will get even more flip.

hit some ok stuff.. blur>atomsmasher, eggbeater>ducking butterfly, some long tiltless runs, etc.

*edit*oh yeah, dimwalk bsos (flip was a little ugly though,) and a good run with tiltless, dlo, symp mirage, ripwalk and torque

So i read your report with a big interest, props for your reprensatation ...

Thanks! It was a lot of fun and I hope to do it again as soon as possible.

my phone broke today..... i threw it at the floor pretty hard. Ordered a new phone. Modded my new lavers! they're sweet i just have to get the sticky stuff off of them and i'll shred with em. definitely going to play tomorrow even though i have a shitload of schoolwork i need to get done.

I've been pretty bummed out lately, because of my ankle and some other stuff.. I think I just need to sack up.

I haven't shredded since SUNDAY of course i don't feel good.

I wrote a fatass rhyme while I was bored in class today and I lost it. bummer.

Hey how are the leather lavers? i was thinking of getting some type of leather ones when i first got mine but i read that a lot of people didnt think they were very good. is there any noticable difference? Even if they arent that great they look super awesome.
