I'm Leaving for Paris...Tomorrow! (April 11th)

Attention:

Dave Morawski will be in Paris on the 12th of April.

I was just offered a deal to hand-carry a film to Paris in exchange for some spending cash and a round-trip ticket. Because of some connections in the freight business, I was contacted to deliver some pre-release copy of a major film. Sounds sketchy? Yeah..kind of.

So...knowing of all the great players in Paris, I jumped on the offer. I'll be leaving tomorrow (11th) at noon, and will be arriving at 8:30-9:00 in the morning on the 12th. I am hoping you guys aren't all busy, and are able to have a session. I'm no where near the best player, but I'd be honored to play with you guys again (Serge, Thomas, Robinson, Charles, maybe Franck?).

I'll be needing a place to stay while I'm there, and I'm sorry this is so last minute. If housing accomodations aren't available anywhere, I'll just have to look for a hostel or a bench or something. The most important thing is that I'm able to play footbag with all you guys!

Well, I'm still not in Paris right now, so I don't know what is happening those days, but post this exactly same post on the french footbag forum: www.footbag.fr/forum (actualy, I'm gonna do it to yoiu right now), and go check the answers... I'm sure you'll find people to have a shred!

and if you're still here on friday, don't miss it at night... Big shred and beers session... and I'll be there!

Well, I got back from Paris yesterday afternoon....so here's the post-trip wrap up.

I had the time of my life in France. Everyone was very nice, hospitable, friendly, and just excellent in all aspects. I must thank Thomas (and his brother, of course) for housing me during my short visit. Also, thanks to Robinson as well. You were all too good to me.

I experienced many 'firsts' on this trip: riding a motorbike, climbing the Gran Palais, getting handcuffed, playing 4square, riding in the back of the police car, hitting blur, giving a statement to the authorities..the list goes on.

I'm so lucky to have come up on such a wonderful opportunity over my Spring Break. It was nice to meet some new faces, and very nice to see the ones I already know.

After writing this, I think my English has gotten worse

Since you were talking about 'firsts'... I noticed that getting hand cuffed and riding in the back of a police car weren't right next to each other, suggesting the possibility that they might not be related. Way to go, young buck.

Well from what I was told it went something like this:

climbing the Grand Palais [one of Paris' historical monuments ] > getting handcuffed > riding in the back of the police car > giving the police a statement.

A nice combo for sure. But yeah maybe he did sneak a blur in there.
