hurt my knee so i decided to revive the footblog.....
a couple new things that i can think of right now:
flipwalk > flipwalk
(firefly > blizzard > dimwalk dragon) bs
Pixie hoe > paradon rake > pixie pteradon
dragon whirl bsos
paradon rake bsos
pixie paradon rake bs
pteradon bsos
enterrage bs
pigbeater bs
smog > PLO > smog > PLO
pdx dragon blender bs
dragon blender bsos
downtime spitfire bsos
dragster bs
spitfirefly bs
dragon barrage bsos
dragon twirl bs
motion dragon (demotion?)
I'm sure there are more...
things that hit my dragon but doesnt seem to stay and i am working on currently after my knee heals up:
pdx dragon whirl
vortex dragon (the spin isn't slurry)
blurriest dragon (flippiest?)
blurry dragon whirl

As i sit here finishing my valentine day candy and thinking of how i should be studying for the test coming up i decided to update this thingy. THere really isnt much to update besides the fact that i dont have much time for shredding due to school/work. I was also searching through my computer and found a video of me doing gyro flipwalk which i guess ill post... http://media.putfile.com/gyro-flipwalk-raw-clip slurry and no editing, more of a dragged dimwalk dragon but whatever, think what you want. I think this was from a little over 8 months ago and apparently i cant catch anything.
One cool string i can really remember is:
firefly > blizzard > dimwalk dragon > spinning dragonosis bs
been hitting flipwalk midstring here and there which makes me happy
also ducking dragon bsos i was proud of since i cant do ducking very well
next thing i guess is cool is hitting ducking firefly on both sides, but there is something about whirling dragons that still hurt my knees so have to avoid them.
Ive been trying to hit a few moves here and there that just seem not right such as mobius dragon which i have footed, but for now im just concentrating on getting consistant for having longer strings than these lame low contact dragon chains. I really think i could do better if i had more time, which i will soon because of spring break. Hopefully ill be able to get my hands on a camera to film some stuff soonish... anyway enough rambling and time to go, the next update will have a video(s) i promise, i just need to think of some good moves to get on camera.

So i just got home from a few days in portland (ME) and just edited a video from monday and tuesday sessions... they werent too long.
http://media.putfile.com/Video-1-13-11
I dont really like my string length but i guess its better than none. I had sailing firefly but i trimed it then saved over the file and it made an error so i dont have it... sorry about no filpwalks, i just spaced out on them.
on the video in order (just in case you didnt catch it):
=pendulous ducking dragon (barefoot, i did get the catch at the end)
=little run with a couple dragonosis and a firefly
=footed flippiest (was getting tired)
=a run with a few dragonosis and a couple pdx illusions
=dragon set stepping ducking (look at my neck you can see the bag when it pauses)
-----
updates on my dragon game:
-have hit stepping ducking from dragon set on both sides more than 5 times each
-dragon > ducking dragon > far legover > dragon > ducking dragon > catch (first time hitting ducking dragon bsos heh)
-dragon set schmoe bs
-firefly > pdx illusion [rpt] drilled a lot
-some forgotten things
Next session ill try to get whirling dragons again and seeing if they wont hurt my knees, also want to hit the drill dragonosis > dragon torque > rpt
Until next time

Called friend (John) > shredded for only 2.5 hours > great session > decided it needed to be blogged > rpt [soon]. Discovered rev whirling dragons, they dont hurt knees, good thing.
Funny I challenged John to hit osis > torque > [rpt] and he hits it within 3 tries and later he hits pdx torque > symp far rev whirl and then he shows me that he can duck a wiggle set. Good stuff.
Lots of good strings with longer string lengths, drilling paid off.
Highlights for me:
-rev whirling dragon bsos
-rev whirling spitfire bs
-dragon stepping rev whirling dragon footed bs (on one side it decided to almost get up but went away from me )
-fs rev whirling dragon footed bs
-dragon > spinning fs rev whirling dragon bs (easier than the above)
-symp rev whirling dragon bs
-dragonosis > rev whirling dragon bs
-dragon > dragonosis > rpt > far legover > smudge > PLO > smudge > PLO > flail
-dragonosis > ducking dragonosis bs (almost got it to a flail)
-dragonosis > diving dragonosis bs
-flail + dragonosis + firefly bsos
-rev blender dragon bs
-smudge > pixie ss illusion > rpt
-terrage bsos a few times (not really new but good enough)
-footed dragon surging pdx whirl (the surge is like a dragged pixieish looking thing and this is where i hurt my knee and said im not doing whirls anymore)
-ducked a dragon surging (dragged pixieish ducking)
-some missing stuff i probably forgot
One of the better sessions ive had in a long time, definitely throwing rev whirling dragons in now since i never tried them before today, only to clipper and that was ages ago. Dragon to spinning is definitely slurry not really any way of cleaning it up. Dragon torques (dorks, haha) i really need to learn.
Until next good session,

I think I'll write up how i got started with just doing dragons instead of clippers.
It all started when I first got into footbag a couple years back in the summerish time. I learned about atws which blew my mind and how they are considered impossible by the person who told them to me and the next day i went and got atws on one side after school. I had been playing "hacky sack" for a year or so with friends in high school and had toe stalls dialed on both sides. When school was out for the summer, I went to an island off the coast of maine for a couple weeks with my girlfriend and her family and this is where i 'invented' butterfly before knowing what is was called or even really seeing one I think i called it a jester stalled.
For the rest of the summer i kind of just bummed around and didnt really kick that much until the fall of my senior year in high school. I started kicking with my buds again and showed them a few things and they were amazed and i was like yeah im cool. Then one day in Visual basics class i really wasnt paying attention to the teacher and was looking up 'extreme hacky sack' on google and i found footbag.org. I was looking at the website and started to read up on moves, the ADD system, and names of things. This got me impressed. I also found a club at the university who i contacted and hacked with the president of the club and he showed me a couple of things and gave me some pointers as in be both sided and then told me to come to a meeting. I believe i went a few times and then i found a desire to be the best. I joined the forum on footbag.org and then later joined modified on dec 1st 2004 and got a lot of tips on things. When winter came around i didnt really play since i was busy skiing, (I kept a counter of how long i am on the mountain and it came to something like 12 days and a couple hours).
That winter I saw Jon Schneider hit flipwalk on a video. I was suddenly enthralled by the sight of seeing a dragon that i said to myself i must learn this now. This is where i first vowed to just play with dragons and when i tried dragons for a while they seemed not too bad but i was already so much better with clippers, i didnt convert. But one highlight was i hit firefly BS. I wore sandals at that time
When spring came around i started playing again and this time i hit my first 4 add, which was twirl. Very weird, and the same day i hit dimwalk bs. This may have happened earlier but its still a little fuzzy when i hit a 4 add all i know is twirl was the first.
In the summertime i kind of just bummed again and didnt really do anything but play video games all summer long / watch TV.
That fall was beginning of college so i had lots of time and i started to shred again, this time it was serious. My girlfriend got me lavers and a bag for my birthday (she is amazing). I hit my first 5 add that fall, phoenix, as well as longer strings, hurt my hip around this time. That winter i didnt really ski as much as i did the winters before so i shredded instead. Every Monday and Friday starting at the beginning of college i met the university gang. I was hitting good stuff and long strings. That november i hit a variety of dragon moves and said again that i will convert to only dragons, i did not again due to the huge gap between clippers and now my dragons were worse then they were before but still hittable. I hit my first 7 add that feburary i believe, pixie ducking double downing osis, impressive first 7 add i believe.
That spring i hurt my hip again and i was like i am now converting to dragons only and this was when i converted, sometime around this blog was created. At that time my clipper game was 20ish guiltless and had some tripless runs of 10ish.
Going from that type of clipper game and switching to dragons where i had to relearn all i lost was very hard. I was hitting some dragon stuff, but not much so i was basically a toe player at this point.
That summer i was drilling dragons so much. Before that summer i was spinning out of dragons much like Schneider does on some of his dragon moves, so i learned to set straight and in front of me and got the necessary crank for getting it both sides. It was so hard to just quit dragons and go back to clipper that i almost just quit footbag because when i tried to do clippers i could barely get 50% of them stalled so i felt like i just wasted time learning dragons.
Fall rolls around and i hit flipwalk on both sides multiple times in a session, about 1 out of 10 tries. This time i was trying whirling dragons which i somehow hurt my knee and now if i try whirls at all my knees hurt very much. I had many good sessions, but my dragon chains were considerably short, just because i didnt drill enough and tried harder moves than i should be working on, although my toe game was through the roof (at least for me).
Then i updated the blog with all the new stuff i hit and then thats were the blog picks up from. When i found out that rev whirling dragon didnt hurt my knees i was happy because that session was very good, double dexes hurts one of my knees though and it happens to be my flip.
The president graduated from college last fall and moved to Massachusetts and now the club has died down because no one wanted to become president (i couldnt because i was from another college) and only a couple people here play still.
When i went to the session yesterday no one showed up like usual, i wouldnt go anymore because it is a 30 min drive if it wasnt for the fact that my girlfriend is up there at the dorms.
New highlights:
pendulous DLO
pendulous legover > pixie > rpt
dragon > op dragon > dragonosis > far legover > smudge > rpt
hurt my knee again so im out for a couple of weeks at most.
until when im healed
