Post by hourglass »

i think its toeing the line on "Too much". yeah, it may be a descent mod, but it seems more than just a mod. you dont have to have it done jsut to get better, look at all the people who play with regular modded lavers.

i guess i think its more like cheating. but thats such a bad word. cheating.

i guess i mean easy way out.

but its your shoes, and you do what you think is best.

good luck

I would do it if I knew I wouldn't fuck my lavers up

Good luck

Well, I've mod'd my lavers everyway possible pretty much. The latest way I mod my toe box is tubed, it's on my site if you haven't seen it. I really wouldn't call it 'cheating' or anywhere near it. If you like a toe box, but you think stock walls are too high then the tubing cleans up all the cuts you make on it for a nice medium size wall. If you don't like cutting off the wall completely, then tubing again is a nice medium because it isn't much high than having no toeboxes.

I really don't think many people do it because it is excessive in a way. You can play just fine with normal toe boxes or cut off boxes. I mainly like the size of it and the cleanliness. I've cut lavers midway but then it becomes really sloppy because the fabric starts to fray away. If you tube around the cut, it cleans it up and expands the life of the toe box. If you have questions or need help, just PM or msg me on AIM.

no see, because the mentality and justification for any mods is that there are no regulations within the sport yet to allow for some mods and outlaw others, so any mods possible are allowable, in lieu of any regulations at all! that also means if some technology came out that caused the footbag to stick to your foot perfectly, exactly when\where\how you wanted it to, and slow down while you dexed it, etc, you would HAVE to use it, because of the policy of 'no official equiptment=make your own equiptment striving to gain as much advantage as possible' that has been the norm.
yeah, i have a few mods myself. i just wish their was more regulation or something.
