Australian Champs 2006 Movie Teaser

Post by BalinorNZ »

For the past 2 weeks I have been finishing a project I started about 4 months ago. I've spent about 40-50 hours on it and it's almost complete :).

This project is a 30-40min movie documenting the week I spent in Australia at the Australian National Footbag Champs in January of this year.

I will be releasing this movie over the internet and on DVD. DVD copies may not be availible for a while as i'm quite busy, they are really for people like the organisers of the competition that would want a high quality version of the production.

I have made a quick teaser which you can download HERE.

Enjoy.

That's why it's called a teaser... it teases you ;).

The video should be up in the next few days if all goes to plan and I find a good mode of compression.

A paradox production ehh ? Wasn't Paradox Production already made by Dan Klokow. Anyways, yes, I was disappointed as well. It wasn't a tease at all, more like making me hold my breath for the fun of it to take up time. I'm sure the upcoming vids will kick ass though, I don't want to come off derogatory.

Yeh Dan Klokow owns Paradox Productions; produced videos like True Playaz and Fo Shizza amongst others.

When was the last time Dan Klokow made a production? I don't think he will mind that i've stolen his name too much ;), and it was the best I could do with 20 seconds of thought.

Sorry to dissapoint you all, think of it as me trying to set a big contrast with what you will feel about the finished product ;).

Still trying to find a compression i'm happy with, will almost certainly be uploading tomorrow night :)!!

Dan made his last video a lil over a year ago, and i believe he might have been working on a new one, not sure about that.

But either way, borrowing the name doesnt make sense, what if you want to make another video, are you going to borrow the name again?

(sorry for being off topic)

Lol ok i'll admit it, I have no idea who Dan Klokow is, I just thought of the name as a catchy and footbag related name to call myself for the moment.
I do not own a real production company, it's just me that has made this soon to be released video, if I was part of or did own a real production company it would probably not be called paradox productions.

How about we leave it at that ;).

News: I'm about to export what I hope to be the final version, 2.2 (it's only taken me 12 exports to get it right :D).

How about you drop the name Paradox Productions and find something else, because this name is already taken by, and associated with, Dan Klokow who is a well known footbag video producer of several titles which have been on sale for years.

I dont want this to be some kind of big argument, but i dont understand why you cant see that what you are doing is an infringement of his rights/just generally kind of a shit thing to do. (I know it was a mistake initially, but if you continue to use that title you are in the wrong)

Ian unless Dan has a patent on the name "Paradox Productions" then he has NO right to the name and NO right to keep others from using it.

Unless he has objection to me using it then it's not a nasty thing to do either, and from what I can tell he isn't even part of the online community anymore let alone the footbag video production community, and even if he was I doubt he would care, it's not like he is losing anything over it.

Anyway, I forgot to put in one inportant crossfade transition so I am exporting it again tonight, so if you care that much I will change it.

Its not about rights or anything like that. You guys have got it wrong. Its all about having good ettiquete. Even though Dan has no right to the name, its good footbag ettiquette and probably a ncie thing to do to just change the name and leave it to that.

Looking forward to the real one coming soon

What Alex says is what i meant. I doubt he has any legal right to it unless he has a copyright on it, but its rude and disrespectful on your part to do it, whether he is here to defend himself or not. That other people are here to defend him should be indication enough that its just not the done thing.
