I had another pretty good session last night, 3hrs long, w/ FunkLovesFootbag. I hit a bunch of stuff including vortex bsos, which I may only have done once before. I also hit blurry whirl>blurry drifter on both sides (almost bsos). I hit 5 consec double switchovers, not as many as I would like. The main highlight was hitting omlette x9, which felt freakin fantastic (atomic op illusion). I also hit atomic op dlo bsos, and in the same run hit a tapping dlo (but missed the flip). I hit a few atomic op eggbeaters last night, primarily on one side though. Oh yeah, I hit a ducking pdx dlo and a diving dlo using the same dlo side. It had been a few months since I'd hit the ducking pdx dlo. I also hit pdx torque and tomahawk bsos in the same run. That was sweet because those are two of the newest 5s in my repertiore. I hit rev. swirl x8 on one side only, pdx blender x2 on the strong side (which is pretty weak), and about 3 or 4 pdx blenders in total on my flip side over about 50 tries. It felt good to hit them again and I will be hardcore drilling them soon.

Within the next 2-4 months, I think I will have added both pdx torques, both pdx blenders, and both tomahawks to my shred "vocabulary," as Nasty would say.

I think my flip pdx drifter is becoming my strong side, from practicing pdx torque too!

One thing Ive learned recently is that chicks really dig paradox torques. Lucky for me, I'm finally able to hit them. This morning I woke up and hit paradox torque x5. For me that is like 8O . AT one pojnt, I NEVER thought I would have a handle on them, but now I feel like I am learning to master my body and make it do things it never has before. Ive been shredding a lot lately, but with no computer I had no ability to update the old blog. Well, for the time being, i have a shitty old computer, so I guess I'll do a bit of updating. Recently I hit pdx torque>blurry whirl, flip blurry torque, worked a bit on flip blenders, skooled my tiltless, and stepped out of mobius. Im also trying to master flip atomic dlo, but that will be a slow process. My drifters feel so awesome right now. I LOVE pdx drifter. Recently, I hit blurry whirl>blurry drifter on both sides, almost bsos, which was nice. I think thats all I want to write for now. I just finished a bag for Lackey82. He won it by filling out Jon Haber's online relationship survey. I think the bag is quite dope and I hope he thinks the same. Emily K. gave it her vote of approval. by now modified.

Props for all the amazing tricks and links you're hitting!! I too have always felt that my body was just not suited to pdx torques... but like you I hope I'll DOMINATE them one day. I challenge you to hit mobius > blury whirl > blury whirl > mobius. And also atomic dlo x2.

Oh and a technicality: I think that you can get pdx for a far swivel but not a reverse one. Unless I'm wrong but reverse swivel is symp. swirling osis right?

Anyway props again, some of those combos are just ludicrous

Performed an assembly for the Aptos Academy today. Much fun was had by all. We intro'd with the motage opening from Lion's Den (thanks Chad :) ) then we talked about freestyle footbag, demo'd kicks, stalls, basic links and drills, more advanced single tricks, some rotations of a 3-person shred circle, a shred 30, and a 2 minute routine. Then we breought a boy and a girl from each grade level on stage to try some kicks and answered questions. When the official assembly was over, we three were mobbed by hordes of 1st through 8th graders begging for autographs. I signed about 20 arms, 10 or so pieces of paper, 1 poem, declined to sign the pants of one eager student, but did sign the forehead of one student. Then we went outside and spent their PE/recess time learning how to kick and hacking. We gave away many sandbags to the school, sold a few to individual students, and expect to sell a lot more. All in all, it was a very successful assembly and I'm proud of my compadres for holdin it down when times got rough. They did a great job, and Im sure that when we do our next assembly, it will be even better.

If Fletcher reads this, I'm going to give him my SD card reader so that he can transfer the footy of the event onto his computer.

Bling blang is whirling set same side reverse whirl. I'm really pissed right now, about to try to go to sleep, probably an excercise in futility. If you've ever felt super angry before you go to bed, then you're probably thinking 2 things: 1) it'll be hard to go to sleep, and 2) you should try to resolve the problems before you go to bed so you can sleep peacefully. 2 Problems with that: 1) I have little desire to solve these problems because I dont want to talk to anyone and I have no one to talk to anyway. I hate my life right now. I'm so angry. Anyway, here's a little piece I put together in the last sitting at my computer, which fairly accurately describes how I view my life, how my friends view me, and how I'm basically dissatisfied with everything I do because I always make someone feel uncomfortable.

Life is Temporary Agony

If I were swimmin in women, I'd ask to be drowned
They whine and complain like they've always been crowned
They ask and they get, and give you no thanks,
But when you ask you're denied and demoted 5 ranks
They use and abuse you and make you feel shitty
then request your help again and wrench from you pity.
Whatever I do I know I can't win
Cause whatever I offer comes off as a sin.

It doesn't end there though, its not just the chicks,
they misinterpret everything I say and do as spiteful tricks.
I can't act the way I want or else risk offense,
and every visitation that happens becomes increasingly tense
So I try to be nice and drop some encouragement,
but of course its taken by third parties as discouragement.
So what the fuck do I do, keep my mouth shut?
I'll not show up at all, you can all kiss my butt.
I won't call, I wont write, I wont even invite,
I'm done with overextending myself to people so trite.

Don't ask where I am and don't pretend you miss me
because if you did you'd think before you dismiss me,
like some silly acquaintance who cares not for you,
instead of a friend whose purpose in life is to restore you.
I give and give some more, yet nothing is ever returned,
when I ask for crumb, all I do is get burned.

They say take everything in life with a grain of salt,
But thats hard to do when its always my fault.
What do you do when you've got no one to turn to
and the bridges still standing are about to be burned through?
I guess Ill just spend some time with myself,
staring at what used to be a memory-filled shelf.
Ive got nothing in my life except friends I aggrivate
and my mind's so fucked up I just need to vegetate.

If you dont see me for a while now you know why,
excuse me for a few weeks why I try to not die.

I had a closely similar view of life for a while, and decided to care more about pleasing myself then pleasing others.
It may be or may seem really anti-social, but I always been one..

Some of the reasons people are mad at me would actually male me pretty pissed if I still cared about pleasing to everyone.

I see it as lieing, before you can stop lieing, you have to stop beleiving your lies, and lieing to yourself..

Just my way of seeing it..

on another note, I can't wait to shred with you and the santa cruz gang :D

I had to laugh out loud at that one
Things might just be turning around . . . I'll know for sure within a few days. My life is like a sine curve. Anyhow, if Fletcher Funk can play with only one good ankle, then I can play with only one good lung, one good nostril, and a whooping cough.

Sick Session highlights:
Length: 1.2 hours, Music: Plump DJs -Saturday Night Lotion

-flip gravedigger (1st ever)
-then gravedigger bsos 8)
-flip mobius a few times
-flip mobius>whirling set clipper (i.e. whirl  )
-torque>whirr 8)
-pdx torque>whirr (1st try too!) :P
-voodoo (1st ever)
-pdx blender x3 (strong side)
-tomahawk>flurry (sweet new link)
-atomic dlo>pixie paradon (new triple to triple)
-barrage>paradon>barroque
-pdx flux (bs)

played in newly-modded G-units. Fun session, but sickly still, with few highlights:

-Torch-r-rack to small run
-flip mobius>whirling swirl (soooo close to this, didn't hit it)
-a flip gyro dlo (I like this move, should hit it more)
-another voodoo
-bladerunner (one side only tho)
-e-walk
-whirring rake>run
-14 consecutive reverse swirls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

They were so dope. It was awesome, felt like Jim Penske.

Tonight, I probably had the final of what might be called the "sick sessions." Getting over my sickness, only residual symptomaticity being infrequent bouts of uncontrollable coughing, throat clearing, SOB, and minor upper head congestion.

Desptie that however, a fun session it was. Music-the sounds of nature as sunset approached, a bit chilly outside, 2nd session g-units newly re-modded for added advantage, and a moisture wicking shirt. Results as follows in order they were hit:
-flip mobius>crispy torque!
-flip mobius>stepping clipper
-rip>bliz>tapdown>blur>dimwalk>rip>bliz>tapdown>blur
-rip>bliz>tapdown>blur>dim>rip>bliz>tapdown>blur>dim>duck butt>div butt>duck butt (possibly most unique 4s? I rarely go for this stuff)
-a couple of scorpion's tails, once to torque
-some attempts at pdx tap>atom>leg>rpt, will hit next session
-23 ripwalks again
-25 ripwalks (new personal record set whilst sick :o )
-bread! (reverse flail)
-pdx bread!
-duck clip>duck symple swirl>torque
-flip mobius>"flip" pdx torque
