Unmodifiable lavers?

I have the mesh lavers but the canvas is sooo entertwined with the mesh that it seems immpossible to get it off. when ever i make a slit at the bottom of the insole from the inside, The two wont seperate. This is really frustrating because its almost like i have to shave off the canvas but even then i get some tiny holes in the mesh. Whats up with this?

Hmm..intertwined? Probably has to do with the glue between the outer mesh and inner canvas. You could:

a. Draw a bath with really hot water > soak the shoes for a while.
b. Use a blow-dryer to heat the glue, and then pull a portion of the layers apart. Reheat>rpt.

I recommend the latter option because you avoid all the water.

have you modded Lavers b4? it's always a lil tricky to detatch the canvas... soak them in warm water for a couple hours or so to loosen the glue. That will make the whole job way easier. Cut slowly but steadily and eventually you'll reach the mesh. There is usually a blatently obvious destinction between canvas and mesh. Even if you do cut through the canvas and make a hole or 2, it's not hard to stitch that back up when you're all done... don't worry about it tooooo much.

If you've done it b4 and you know (and did) all these things, then you've got a fauly pair of lavers. Send them back to wherever yo got them and ask for a new pair. That would be pretty funny if the destributor didn't know anything about footbag... "What's the big idea, buddy?? selling me a pair of unmodable lavers!? I can't cut the canvas out of these things to save my life!! They're CRAP!!"

...I'm sure they'll give you new ones

im a little weary about the water so i will try a blow drier and let u guys know how it goes

vince, get a razor blade slowly and lightly slice through the inside canvas until you can see the outside canvas. Get that slice as wide as a butter knife, then seperate the whole canvas from the outside surface with the butter knife. that will make the whole process much easier.

DUDE!!!! worked like a freakin charm. The butternkinfe idea worked great. The glue seperated easy and left minimal holes (3-4 frizzed links on the mesh). Thanks so much to all of you guys, i'd post pics but im gonna be to busy workin on my clipper stalls. Ive only completed my right foot, ill do the left tomorow
