Adobe Premier 6.0 HELP! PLEASE!

ok i recently put adobe premier on my laptop, and i have a question.....

ok if im using media for windows, and im recording stuff off of my camera how can i optimize the quality of the video i try to capture, because it seems everytime i try it comes out kinda blurry or fuzzy... and so far the only way i can find to download stuff from my camera to adobe is using the media for windows option...

help on this is much appreciated~!

You should be able to capture directly from your camera to Premier.

From memory, i think you click 'file', then 'capture' (or something similar), and go from there.
It's been a while, and I know there's more to it, but that's a start, I'm sure.

You should also check your harddrive capacity -- maybe it automatically compresses the video if you are low on space? I know that mine was automatically set to raw avi video quality. Or maybe it has something to do with a video card? I don't know computers too well, but I know (knew?) Premiere semi-well.

It could also be the cable, are you using USB or Firewire? Firewire is what you want.

fire wire is definately the way to go, but i have moved on from this editing software atleast until i get a mac or something, for now ive turned my time over to vegas pro 6 instead

it has alot of the same features and can do many of the same things, so im satisfied with it.
