I've heard mixed reviews, generally everyone says get mesh but my first pair of lavers was leather and I loved them. Some say they like the leather ones better even, but I can't make that claim because I haven't shredded in mesh ones.

*edit* just tried on my new leather ones and hit a few basic tricks... they feel a lot more rigid than my old ones, I think it's just because they're new and I haven't modded the outsides yet... (I don't plan to.)

:D happy with them though.

Played footbag today! though it was going to be a solo session but then this new player in the area alex showed up, and he had a phone i could use (mine's broken,) to call Emily so it was a three person session. fun stuff.

hit all my usual stuff except anything right clipper was extremely ginger because my ankle is injured.. just hurts when i attempt to crank at all (great!)

drifter>torque
dlo>eggbeater
whirl X6
came close to blurry drifter, bedwetter, fog
paradox drifter>paradox whirl
symp mirage X5 or 6

good runs! one run with eggbeater, dlo, symp mirage, whirl, drifter and ripwalk. one run of 38 tiltless contacts, a record by 1 contact i think.
spinning clipper and spinning osis in a run

muted tapdown>blur>legbeater

*edit* flip dimwalk though ugly, smear and fear in a run, ducked a pixie set.

Played with Alex, Steve, Jeremy, Isaac, Emily.

ok so kinda long session, disappointing and agonizing because my flip clipper is MIA. but.. i hit a few ok things.

spinning clipper>spinning clipper
flail
atomsmasher>dlo, tapdown>pdx mirage
i don't remember but I know there were a few other things...hmm..
practiced dlo and symp tricks some

dimwalk bsos but kinda ugly on my flip.. and it hurt my ankle.. i just do stuff out of habit.. it's really irritating I can't wait for my ankle to heal i feel like my game is crippled.

well, basically I tried most all of the toe tricks and strongside clipper tricks i can do.. flip p drifter is still difficult for me. spinning is still weak. meh.

zulu osis,

came close to atomic whirl.. i think i'll hit this sunday. also going to attempt atomic ducking. I do not fear a knee to the face.

:D

Save those kicks dude! They still look like they have plenty of sessions left in them, and a back up pair is never a bad idea.
Also, are you doing anything to help your ankle in its injury rehab, like Ice, stretches, Advil? REST!?!?

I can't believe you're trying atomic whirl! Oh right, you play with Jeremy...
I Believe, hit it dude.

I guess I'll keep them in case something happens to the pair i'm wearing now. Uhhh... I iced it the first 2 days and then kind of .. stopped. i'm only playing every other day and im doing clippers very sparingly with it.. it only hurts when i crank it for clipper/osis. Probably a lot of toe stuff in the next few weeks. bahhh.. i'm so bitter about this goddamn ankle. I told Emily I wasn't ever going to have another FRI because it's too mentally taxing not being able to use my flipside.

I'm really hoping it will be better by the time the event comes around.. otherwise I probably woin't compete.

There is no "hope." You are going to heal and you are going to compete. (In Sick 1 & 3 anyway.) Just don't reinjure it before June. :)

No footbag yesterday. or today. or probably tomorrow. gonna give my ankle a bit of a rest.

I need to get my habits in control.. it's not a life or death issue but I definitely feel like it's getting pretty ridiculous. I don't exactly know what I'm going to do but I need to do something.

My ankle is getting better. A lot less pain when stretching, feels like another week and it should be no more pain.

Played for a while today with jeremy and a little bit with emily.
Flip clipper ankle is still sketchy but healthy enough to hit clippers and buterfly without pain.. unless i crank it too much.

My flip clipper brought back a surprise with it: Swirl. hit it 4 or 5 times today.
paradox dlo>toe drifter
atomsmasher>atomsmasher

and thats pretty much IT. lot of time for very little success and lots of frustration. frustrating frustrating session.

good session with emily and jeremy. Makes yesterday seem like a distant nightmare.

34 contact tiltless run, another pretty long one but wasnt counting, i'd guess 25-30 contacts.
spinning clipper>ducking clipper>spinning clipper>DROP ducking clipper
atomsmasher>eggbeater

ehhhhh some other stuff but nothing else new. Corrected my flip whirl with emily's help; my hips were pointing away and it got 100% better once i turned towards it. nice.

MMMM what a glorious day... studied for hours in the morning, went to class for 6 hours, studied for an hour more, and then it was time to relax... did some pushups/situps and then picked up a footbag... had about an hour long solo session in my tiny ass room.

whirl>drifter>whirl>drifter
diving clipper>whirl>diving clipper>whirl
butterfly>pdx mirage>tapdown and butterfly>pdx mirage>legbeater both sides

ducking clipperX4, flip diving clipperX3
ducking osis both sides, came real close to diving osis>ducking osis, going to hit this tomorrow within 5 tries.

after the session i laid on my floor for about 10 minutes in utter euphoria. Feeling really great, I'm cutting out junk food entirely and I've cut back smoking to weekends only. (so far...)

goals for tomorrow: pdx drifter bsos, pdx dlo bsos, 50 tiltless contacts. :D
