New Tool Album...

What do you guys think of it? I love it. I've been waiting so long for it and it has lived up to everything I'd hoped it would.

Sucks. Lateralus was okay, but I think they've fallen off since Aenima - that was a damn good album.

Aenima will always be my favorite. But I really dig the bands direction since then.

The artwork and packaging of the new CD is worth buying alone...

i personally love 10,000 days. especially the cover art with the sterioscopic images. its no where near as good as lateralus, but opiate will always be an all time fav of mine. oh ya, and who gets else gets a kick out of that song lipan conjuring?

I didn't like it at first, but because I was a complete Tool fanatic back in high school I made myself listen to it a few more times. It really grew on me... my favorite is still Aenima though.

All four members come together well. The vocals are very pretty, but I am not impressed with the lyrics themselves. Justin Chancellor rocks the hell out of this album too.

I listened to it a few times over during my last hardcore session, and WOW, it kept me going! seriously, it rocks hard, with super-shreddable beats (especially on the first track, and even though it's in 5!). Big 2 thumbs up from me.

when you buy the cd it comes in this booklet with pictures you look at through goggles.

supposedly each picture is supposed to have hidden meanings and stories that help you understand the songs more. i thought this was a brilliant idea because its asking the audience to get more into it.

i thought the music was redundant though. vicarious sounded too much like skizzim. i didnt want to listen to the whole cd. i wish a perfect circle were still around because josh freese kicks ass with maynard.

but in all the cd was worth the $9.99 i paid... because of the goggles and the pictures.

tool is defenetly my fav. all time band MAYNARD CAN DO NO WRONG
and plus like Dr. Cross said. its super shredable.

i got it for only 9.99 also.

OMG!
I saw Tool on Sunday at the Gold Coast Big Day Out (big festival here in Australia).

Tool and Muse stood out as two of the best live shows I've seen for a damn long time.

I was very impressed with Tool live. I don't like listening to their live stuff, but being there was amazing!
Laser-light show with many visuals to boot!!! Just awesome!

I listened to Tool a whole lot when I was in like 9th grade, then I kind of stopped following them. Then I met some kid that said he was sitting on an extra ticket if I wanted to go...free of charge so I saw them live back in October at the Tweeter center in Camden. Music was badass, but I had lawn tickets and it was puring out...so it was muddy and cold...but way worth it. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to the new album in full, so I won't comment on it quite yet.
