Thanks. :)
About Barrage I should have wrote that "my both sides are equally bad" instead of just "equal". :D Anyways, I hit Barrage from both sides yesterday.
btw, do you like my signature?
Holy crap, have I written something like that? 8O
My footbag poetry sucks.
edit: you don't have your last name in your signature anymore, and because people may not remember your last name right, they'll think that crappy poet was written by you. ;)

5/6/2006

2h session. Mostly schooling the old and trying something new.
 drifter > diving clipper > repeat

After that I kicked net with Aapo and Jaakko (Aapo's friend) for 30 minutes but my legs were too ripped for anything good.

Niin joo. Voishan sellasta pitääkin. Jos jotain tulee niin sit ehkä kesäloman alussa ja täytyis ruveta miettiin juttuja aika pian.
Ihan hirveesti en oo kyllä valmis pistään rahaa siihen, koska on worldsia ym tulossa. Eli mitään t-paitoja on tuskin tulossa. :P
Toivottavasti saan jotain aikaiseksi.

I will be organizing the event.
I'll try to plan it further this weekend.

I'm shredding a lot these days, too busy to update my blog. :P
(After I changed back to a 32-bag I had to improve my style again now I can shred as well as before the change...probably even better. ;) )

Had a cough for a week - stupid me being outdoors wearing a t-shirt last Saturday, which was a windy day.
Still haven't shredded but I'll give it a go tomorrow. :D I'm so anxious to shred.

I should film more. I should prepare the Tampere Shred Jam further. I should start preparing something for the Worlds. I should do a lot of things.

No "actual" school left but I still have to go there tomorrow and on Saturday...

Been working all the weekdays at home, real 8-hour days of course.
Still, I've shredded almost every day. I really should start preparing at least something that resembles a routine and a shred30 for the Worlds.

Some good things that have happened during the first holidays:
- new Lavers are here and they cost me only 60€ (last time it was about 80€). They're unmodded, I'm wearing them as casual shoes. I think I'll change the insoles soon though.
- I've got plane tickets to Frankfurt and back
- I've got new shred shorts. Black, because the 2 others are white.
- ...and I've also got some other summer/shred gear, including an ultralight sleeping bag that takes a ridiculously small amount of space when packed, and a sleeping pad that gets filled with air by itself. It has an "air-pillow" too, which is great.
- new running shoes, I've been thinking about starting to do morning runs. The only "but" is that I'd have to wake up at least 45 minutes earlier than now and it's already hard to wake up at 7.30. :? It's not me, it's the football games that end at midnight! Like this evening; Brazil-Croatia, can't skip that. ;)
- decent guiltless runs, the best ones that aren't just BOP but mostly other tricks are there around 20 contacts.
- torques coming back. Yes, I lost them AGAIN right after I started to get the idea - but that was with a Mr. Sandbag, then my 32 came back fixed and I had to re-learn the different (=right) playing style. I'll have a skooling session tomorrow.
- DLO is quite a secure trick to hit in a run although it takes more energy for me to do it.

Some bad things:
- I've lost my 2nd footbag of all time, an official footbag of the Finnish Footbag Association, a white-blue Pro32s -sandbag. :( I tried shredding in a lake (very stupid), then accidentally dropped it and the water wasn't clear enough that I could have seen it - it wasn't clear because I was walking there myself and the sand from the bottom mixed with the water. Stupid me! :x
Actually, the bag sucked for playing footbag freestyle, but it was the only bag I had ever got as a gift. It was really nice from my family that they showed support to footbag. :) Besides, we were practising footbag net with it, I guess we now really have to buy us a real net bag.
- I've got nothing prepared for the Worlds' competitions. I haven't even been shredding to a music lately because I'm too lazy to carry my CD-player to my shred sessions.
- my flip pdx whirl is funny. It's so ashaming to admit that there is a flipside, I need to skool it more. I get it both sides equally often (i.e. not very often) but my left leg dexing is...well, funny.
- haven't really skooled drifters, but can do them pretty often.
- I still drop Osis sometimes.

Nah, that's about it this time.
Oh, I got a 50€ student award from school plus a 15-euro student award for just taking part on an environment course from biology. :)
And a book in Swedish.

Today no shredding, I'm feeling super-lazy right now. Brazil vs. Croatia is about to begin in a moment.

Oh my gosh, I've found the footbag I lost to the lake! :D
I went there yesterday to swim with my brother. I had only a grasp of hope I'd find it, but I still tried to check the bottom with my feet.
And stepped on the footbag! :D:D:D

We're so meant to be together, me and footbag. 8)

=city camp) on täynnä.

Alright I've started to shred a little more frequently than I've been doing for the last 9 months. Only a little, though, so don't get too excited of me bringing my non-existing superduperskillzzz back to life.

That all above means I'm going to have relatively short sessions (max. 30-60 min) like once a week or two weeks, just to keep my game at least somewhere near the level it used to be (which wasn't high). I won't promise to start developing it very much; I'm going to concentrate on what I already can do best.

So, if you'll ever see me playing at some jam or tournament, I'll bore you to death with shuffle, drills and shuffle drills. And drops.
(I've planned a full-shuffle shred30 run over 200 points, I started working on it today and got the 16 first contacts down already.)

Nice 200 points is quite a lot. Can you write down the combo? Are all tricks uniques?

I got it till the second ripwalk (didn't hit it), so it was 18 contacts I already got. They're all unique, 31 contacts and I counted that would be 216 points if I got them down in 30 seconds.

I think I might have a session on Sunday, because then it's school again and I don't know how long it'll take until the next one.

Had a two and a half hour session with Juuso Karhunen. Although my shins and later also my left groin ached, and Juuso hadn't played in a while and also had groin pain, I think we played at least decent.

This was the first time we we're playing together. You can really tell from Juuso's trick variety and sureness that he's been playing for a long time, although he has suffered from injuries.
I came close to some stuff I wouldn't have even thought was possible for me in today's form. I'll post them when I've hit them. I also hit a new Ripwalk record: 27. And a new 5-5 link (still haven't hit 5-5-5)

We also dug up the idea about Ristiretki from its grave and discussed about organising a freestyle jam in Tampere. Probably at summer, or at least no sooner it's warm enough to wear shorts outdoors. If it is a 2-day event, then there'll probably be shred30 and/or circle. The main problem at the moment is trying to figure out where exactly to hold this event.
Anyone interested in participating?

Statement of the day (:P): Shred more in company.

Haha, never! It only expresses how serious I am converting the pagans of the unholy land to this noble sport. I'll stop using the name now.
