Ellis Pitz on Anti-Weed site

Post by BainbridgeShred »

http://www.freevibe.com/News/coolteens_ellis.asp

Was really strange how I stumbled upon this. I clicked the link at the top of my AIM buddy list where it had ad's for different sites and stuff, and the add for the site above said they had the truth about marijuana or something. Anyways, I looked around the site (A lot of truth, but a lot more of the tired bullshit I've heard about marijuana since I was a youngster) and eventually found the section of the site with a little something on "Avid Skater/Pro Footbagger" Ellis Pitz. Felt strange when I saw it.

I couldn't believe it when he said most the top ten players in the world don't smoke though. Off the top of my head I can think of atleast two (Generally considered in the top 10) who smoke.

Either way, pretty interesting. I was just surprised to see it, just looking around at the site.

It seems like a pretty well run operation they've got going on over there. Probably a lot of big money behind them for advertising and other such nonsense.

Good job on getting recognition for Footbag, Ellis.

Zohar Productions? When was that? Four/five years ago?
Cool find. Thanks Dan.

Umm, when I was 22. ;) A couple months before Worlds 2001 if I'm not mistaken.

Yep, five.

Maybe math is not your strength, but if only two of the top 10 players smoke, then *most do not smoke*. Don't bother to retort; I'm just pointing out the humour in your statement. :)

Btw, that interview was not done to bolster footbag, but rather to set a good example to others facing similar decisions that I did as a teenager. I don't know if it's now just an "anti-weed" site, but at the time it was "anti-drug," and had a very positive message of making healthy choices and having fun without the use of drugs. For the record, no one can know even the slightest about my past based on that article, so don't judge or presume anything. Just sayin, because someone did before and they were way off.

Sincerely,

brain..something or other.. wrote:when he said most the top ten players in the world don't smoke
Two corrections: I was referring to all drug use, not just smoking weed. And two, I did not say most of the _top ten_ players, but "most of the top players" which is vague but true, then and now.

Ha, I just read the article for the first time in a few years, and it does seem more like a "for footbag" type of article. Oh well, I tried to present a good message therein. If I could, I would change my anti-drug message of "honesty..." It didn't come out right; a bit hippy dippy.

That site is lame. I'm surprised you'd offer yourself to be used as propaganda.

Seriously, everyones all "its good press", I guess it wouldn't be if it was an anti prohibition website saying weed should be legalized.
