just a thought: when I click ont his blog, I'd like to have a life update on the CICers every now and then, more like every now than every then. Sometimes, even though I read thius blog i have no insight into your lives or whats been happening lately. Quadgun? Can you explain what happened? Zeke? Reile? Tom? Shawn? etc etc etc? What is happening in your lives you think I dont care to know?
My name: Jeremy Mirken, AKA Chocolatey Shatner, AKA jerk enemy rim.

I've recently heard on totaly separate occasions of talk about CIC being dead. And for all the time, work and effort that I've put into this club it just kills me to hear such a thing. Whats worse is that it may be true. As a footbag freestyle club, we have ceased to function. NYJ was really the last time we operated as a group. So if your idea of this club is a group of footbaggers that get together to shred and promote freestyle, then yes, this mutha fucker is dead.
In the beggining I considered the members as people I just kicked with. People that shared the same passion for freestyle and the willingness to help spread it. Over the years the idea of what the club meant to me began to change. Footbag took a backseat to just hanging out and having a good time with people that have become some of my closest friends (regardless of the activity) So if your idea of this club is a couple of guys that you can't wait to hang out with because you know it's almost guaranteed to be a great time, then this club will thrive so long as there are events to go to, food to be devoured, outrageous stories to be told, laughs to be had, 9 year olds to be smacked, faces to be kicked and shit to be talked! Who knows, we might even play some footbag

Dzam Kamil. I have a small hope that I got from watching too many movies that your old injury will heal even better from this new injury.
About the club thing: I did suggest that CIC's era might be over, but I then retracted the thought because it was still cold. Winters are always like that. I'm hoping that this summer will prove differently. In terms of freestyle, though: slim pickins. With Kamil's injury, it's gonna be up to me and Reile to seed the future.

Are you saying that you are going to be the ones who help to fix this problem? CIC might be sick, but it's not dead yet. You're right, wait till summer. Don't give up hope.CIC flurry wrote:With Kamil's injury, it's gonna be up to me and Reile to seed the future.
I remember reading this blog last summer and being astounded about how many people were coming out to kick, and how many people live in Chicago land now. I remember thinking, "Dang, as soon as I left the scene went off!" Which is probably good, because that helped fill the void that was caused by my (and Dan's) move.
Maybe a good sized Jam every three weeks or month over the summer would be good? Even if the CIC crew can't all make it out, you guys can still motivate people to come out like no one else can. As a club, maybe you don't have the most active players, but you still have talented people who can get things done.

CIC should never die as long a there are people who love to footbag. If more people could join CIC then there would probably be more events around the area more often. I love footbag so much that i do it almost everday and if there were more people like that around then there would be more moral.More people=more thoughts= more fun.The more the marrier
Im 20
Keep footbag'n till yo skins saggin.......

Then it will be one long block to Sunnyside ave and the park will be on your left.

Coming Soon...maybe. PM me with where you're at, and I'll check it out.

We'll have the condiments for the BBQ, and prolly get some extra dogs and drinks for the masses, but feel free to bring some burgers to grill up and drinks.

Re: CIC Birthday Jam
Nothing & nothing. It was decided that they will secretly get groceries a few days before the event and hide them in an undisclosed safehouse to prevent me from eating everything before the jam even happens.xXLoss_of_ControlXx wrote:What do you guys have already? how much of it?
