It's not like you MODERATORS act in any democratic way anyway so just go ahead and DO this:

Change the warnings on the KICKING CIRCLE, DISCUSSION, ARTS AND LEISURE and FOOTBLOGS to indicate that mature content may be contained within.

Create some sort of ANNOUNCEMENT that no drugs, sex, profanity, freedom of speech, mention of non white races, or happiniess will be allowed in the rest of the forum... and furthurmore that all communication must be writtin in JOBS notation.

Then just moderate to your little hearts desire thoughout your part and leave us free-thinkers alone on our part. We promise not to profane your section, which by the way would be a lot bigger than ours.. and we don't care.

It's not quantity, its quality.

I think its a good idea because then both types of people have their refuge. And, they know what to expect.

I just realized that people don't like MATURE issues because its out of their realm of experience and they don't know what to expect.

Sam, you are expressing thoughts (the actual compromise, not the method in which you describe it) that I have been tossing over in my own mind.

My version of the compromise is pretty much the same except that it all goes into the Discussion forum. Drug avatars would be allowed as long as they don't use familiar cartoon characters, much like what happened with Joe Camel.

This problem escalating leaves the community with no choice but to compromize, otherwise modified will be ruined.

I don't know what has been planned already for the future of modified but clear outlines of what is and is not acceptable is neccisary to stop these petty arguments.

I guess as I think about this I realize that the problem lies with the individuals in this community and not the guidelines set out, or to be set out, I think we should all take a moment to realize the fact that all of our individual actions on modified should be made with A) the understanding that communication on a message board is not real life and should be taken lightly regardless of the topic of conversation and B) the understanding that everyone comes across differently in text, and their true reasoning can't fully be understood because this forum mimics face to face conversation.
