I appreciate everyone getting together on one nights notice and driving over to kick. It was great seeing you guys again. Sorry for bailing on Saturday night...I stayed up as long as I could.

In 6 man circle order, Matt, Mike, Aric, Chris, Paul, myself, = memories!

I'll keep you posted on the job situation.

damn!! we have definitely been neglecting this thing. quick update from tonight because im beat and need to sleep.

toe shuffle!!

about strong 12-15 smear > about 8-10 pixie ss mirage > about 5-8 flip smear > about 5-8 pixie ss mirage > some more strong smears

all in front of this nice group of decent looking girls, about 10 5 of which were good looking. got some pretty good comments after i dropped. shuffle has been working really good lately, looking forward to shred 30 at GRASS!!!!!!

Some personal accomplishments during the GRASS event. I hit a lot of really nice strings and surprised myself on many occassions. I played guiltless as much as possible and only allowed at most a single two add move in any string. If I guilted twice I would pass. My average contact count was around 10, which is about double my usual. I had a few strings with up to 15 or more contacts which is just unheard of for me. I was hitting a lot of things BSOS, like ducking mirage -> ducking illusion, smear -> double legover, paradox illusion -> eggbeater. I hit one of my favorite combos, smear -> double legover -> smudge -> eggbeater, midstring. I had one string with four double legovers in it, two on each side.

On the last day of the event, Sunday, I hit 10 consecutive ducking mirages, 4 on my flip side, 5 ducking same side legovers, and 4 ducking legovers.

I want to thank all of the players that came to the event. I was really motivated by all of the excellent players I was fortunate enough to be part of a circle with. Jorden Moire, David Clavens, Matt Cross, Chris Dean, Aric MacIntosh, Paul Agostinelli, and all the rest whose names have slipped my mind. Can't wait to see you all again someday.

Hey footbag rocks.

Aric came through town today and we kicked. I didn't hit many excitting new things, but it was a good session with lots of decent strings. My flip torque and pdx blender have gotten so bad. I'be been working on my first Beast, but it's still miles away. Gotta work on my zooming ducking I guess. And my stepping out of pdx drifter. I have been working on a lot of new concepts and basic things are coming along alright. Still not a lot of nukes because they hurt, but whirls and blenders seem to be the most promising thing right now. We'll see. Every time I have a session, it seems like there's just too many things to work on. Frustration! Atomics, nukes, symp whirls, symp mirages, drifters, torques, swirls, twirls,. ducking, ducking>dex, furious, quantum, gyro, blenders, dynos, dlos, eggbeaters, ...etc etc. Frustration!!!!!

I'm extremely in debt but I wanna make it out to as many events as possible this year. I've decided that this summer is when all things Footbag fall into place. Events that are likely:

Spikenshred NJ: May 27,28,29
Montreal: June 3,4
East Coasts: June 10,11
Steel City Shred ,PA : June 24,25
US Open, Seattle (unlikely): Aug 11-13
Funtastiks, Harrisburg PA: Late August

Am I missing anything?

All of these events are maybes, but most are probably Yes as long as another Rochesterian is going and I can snag a ride. See you soon.

Hey guys, did any of you end up kicking with the French guy in New York? His name is Jerome, nicknamed Jire. he told me that he kicks every so often, even played with Ken Somolinos when he was down there recently.

Oh Jerome? Yep, he's been kicking with NYFA for several weeks/months now. Just last week I think he went to France to visit his relatives. Maybe he'll be back in NYC this weekend?

I don't know if the Geneseo jam is happening this year. I made a date a couple months ago but nobody could make it out here. I'm going to be living in an apartment on Main street this summer, so if anyone wants to come out here then there's some couches and floor space for you. We can organize a jam if some people are interested.

I've been playing a bit more lately. Hit scorpion's tail bsos first try which was a surprise, and spinning ducking wauxpin is getting easier. I can hit it spinning and hit it ducking pretty consistently. My strings are definitely getting more varied and I'm throwing down more 5's, but length still sucks. I think I only had a couple strings over 20 contacts yesterday and I even consider that to be a good session.

I plan on going to spikenshred too. I'm going to be living at my dads until that weekend, so if anyone can make a stop off I-90 on the way, I will gladly take a ride.

Been playing footbag. Its been good to so-so. I still need a ride to Spikenshred. Were you offering a ride in that last post, Matt? And are you driving from Fredonia? If you can take me there I'll be your best friend. Or is anyone else going? Cause it's time for me to take advantage of the fact that every other RFA member has a car besides myself.

And who's going to Montreal the next weekend? The circle competition sounds awesome and I haven't been there since 04 so I really want to go.

I will be back in Geneseo after next weekend and will be staying there for the rest of the year, so we need to make the most of this summer and have lots of RFA sessions. I think I'll be able to get rides up to you guys on a fairly regular basis. sunny days ahead.

Nice! Both Matt Cross and Chris Dean will be showing up! I'm really tired from Chris Balch's Mendham Jam and Sunil's the following day, but I'm really pumped for Spikenshred!
