Welcome to the world of footbag.

Probably the best thing to do is to keep kicking/practicing. It takes time and after awhile you'll notice that you can keep it up for 50-60 hits. Tell yourself that today I'm gonna get 6 hits, then the next day 8, and so on. Use both feet! than when you start hitting tricks you can get them easier with both sides. Also another big thing to know is, have fun. Hope I helped some, and again welcome to the wonderful world of footbag.

hey Carlos.... you are about to enter into a whole new realm :D hacky sack is a game most people know about, it is basically kicking a bag aroung trying to see how long you and your buddies can keep it off the ground.... footbag freestyle is something much greater.... this site is dedicated to that greatness.... check out one of my first posts, it will answer some of the questions a hackysacker might have... also watch some of the videos in the video section to enlighten yourself and be in awe of what footbag freestyle is all about... stick around and do some searches... footbag is an awesome thing to get into... just gets better and better :D my recommendation is to get your kicks down... then start learning the stalls (delays)... stalls are basically the building blocks of what freestyle is based on... you stall the bag then toss it up and do a trick, then stall it again (put into simple terms)

here was one of my first posts when i was a mere "hackysacker" :

i used to have the same problem starting out, all you gotta do man, is slowly work on both sides and visualize what you want. Your kicking the bag with an inside kick right? So when you kick it i want you to be able to kick it srtaight up, and memorize how it felt and were it hit. Then just repeat

kick> hand catch

op kick > hand catch

until you've mastered kicking it sraight up then start by going

kick> op kick> hand catch

op kick > kick > hand catch

after you have those mastered then start trying to link them together and you'll be able to kick good in no time flat! :D

just remember you want to kick it the same way everytime so that you get the same results. Hope this helps man

peace

what he means by "op kick" is kicking with your other foot. moving fast is sometimes a good thing, and other times its not, all you really want to do is get a good rhythm with your kicks.

thats kool man good work, I don't know about everyone else here but all I used for a long time was croched bags. You might want to keep using the one you have until you get a little bit better. If you really want a new bag get a mr. sandman from flipsider.com. They are the best for beginners!

well if you are just kicking the bag trying to see how many kicks you can get, make sure when you kick, you do it in a controlled manner... don't just fling your leg around... it's a good way to pull something.... i would take a day or two off to let it heal... always make sure you stretch for about 15 min before you shred... here is a link for some stretches...

http://hood.012webpages.com/Living%20Ro ... tness.html scroll down and there are pictures and explanations of each stretch...
