I have a confession to make...It's a confession in the form of a question. Is anyone here obsessed, compelled, and driven beyond all their desires to play Dance Dance Revolution all the damn time? Please tell me I'm not alone here.

(As an aside I've improved my game greatly from playing actually, stamina/shuffling wise.)

DDR IS FOR LOSERS! hahha no, I'm joking. That was just reactionary against your oh so serious question. I've only played DDR once or twice at my friend's place with that thing on the floor, and I had a good time. And honestly, if you can do that really well then you have tons of coordination, and you're getting a cool workout. I'm not into DDR, but it looks fun for those who are.

I think DDR is cool. Its been years since I've played it, and I'm not very good, and I'm far from obsessed with it, but I think its a brilliant way to make video games less worthless (non-violent, get some exercise and learn some rhythm) and I could also see how it could potentially aid your footbagging skills.

I got bored of it! they didnt release any new mixs! but I can still do lots of songs on heavy and will still play it every once and a while

I have no rythym at all. I don't hate DDR. I just never play it because it's no fun for me at all and I suck abysmally at it. So I really don't care about it one way or the other. If you enjoy it and it makes you happy knock yourself out. Who cares what other ppl think anyways.

ITG is 'In The Groove'. It adds alot of fun stuff to the game, like mines that you don't want to step on, rolls, and you sometimes need to hit 3 or 4 arrows at one time.

We just got an In the Groove machine at one of my jobs.
I can't play anymore because of my bloody knees, but I played a lot, like, 10 years ago. My mom loved it because it's a video game but it's soooo good for you. There are posses that come and just play our machine at the bowling alley for hours on end, order drinks, and, like, set up all their equipment and bring out their towels and stuff.

yeah/\...i have seen a few guys show up and play for hours at arcades, with towels and drinks and stuff. but its just not an attractive form of dancing in my opinion. (i was going to say 'its not dancing' but i know someone would immediately say that it was, by definition, dancing)

the coolest ddr-ers i saw had like "routines" they knew the songs and foot positions so well, they would like turn around and not look at the screen, and then doo it all hopping on one foot, and had like arm positions and stuff. it was very entertaining! it was alot more like real dancing, instead of starinb at the screen and simply jumping on the buttons at the right time. actually one of the guys i got into footbag quit in order to play DDR full time. i hear he's super insane now.
