Editors for the May 2006 online competitions - apply here.

Post by BalinorNZ »

Hey everyone,

It's time to find some editors for the May 2006 online competitoins.

This time around i'll pick people a little differently.

I will need anyone who wishes to be an editor of the May online competitions to edit a 1min or so clip of whatever you like and send it to me ([email protected]). The aim of the clip is to show me that you are a competant editor. If there are more than 4 applicants then the best 4 clips will get to edit the online competitions for May!

You have 15 days from now, no applications will be accepted after 31st of May (this month).

I look forward to your responces :)

Hey Ben,

Of course you can volunteer to do it this time, but I need you to email me a sample of some editing you have done so I can see you know how to work with footage, titles etc etc :)

Windows movie maker is fine.

Nic, do you need another video sample from me? I got a couple of better ones on my computer if you still need some. PM me or respond back if so.

there's my latest shred vid that I edited myself. You'se seen it and commented on it... I held some of the extra (non-footbag) footage scenes too long in it.

and I also flex my editing in the Tommyfu Tabag cartoons.

I'm pretty a sure that you've seen these aswell... All the editing is mine! lemme know what you think!

You're in  Good to have you on board.

Thus far I have 3 editors for the May competitions. I can allow one more editor if anybody else is keen to get some editing experiance :)

Do I need my own editing software? Or can I do it with Windows Movie Maker?

You can use windows movie maker, but sorry Ben, I just got a 4th person yesterday.

Editors for this month are:
Henry G
Ben Roscoe
Gray Chadwick
Stefan Girotto

They all provided examples of their editing and they are all capable, I decided it would be unfair to just choose the best editors because the aim of this is to give people editing experiance, and the best editors don't need that experiance as much as the rest :), so I've given the positions to the first 4 applicants.

If you want to edit for the competitoins Ben, I can write you down for next time.

when are we expected to be done? I'm going to Winnipeg next weekend, so I wont have my editing software handy. If we could start working on them within the next day or two that would be super-great. I leave on Wednsday, so I guess I'm without the power of editing for more then just the weekend. If it's not possible to get down to work this soon (wich would be completely understandable) and we're suposed to start while I'm gone, I would seriously be MUCH abliged if I could have the following monday night to work with. It would be a buisy Monday night, but when it comes to footbag, I can work pretty diligently...

If you weren't planning on having us start until after next weekend anyway, then all's well :) 8)

I'm just giving the "heads-up"... I REALLY don't want to bail out again.

keep it real
