You probably don't want to meet Jack Keller.

Awesome guy to meet, however. :P

There will be no use of drugs on-site at the Jersey Spike & Shred.

This is just common sense, everybody. The event takes place at the Somerset County Courthouse. Courthouse, as in, lots of Police Officers work in that building and the county administrative buildings around it. While there may be no court in session on the weekend and on Memorial Day itself, that does not mean that numerous cops will not have business to attend to in those buildings and offices.

Now, we had virtually no trouble with this arrangement last year, and while some of the guests of the Spike & Shred may look a little like potheads, I think that for the most part we look like a pack of athletic men and boys serious about playing our sport. If we really looked that bad out there last year, in front of the symbol of authority and showpiece of the local government, I really don't think that they would have even allowed us back again this year.

The party we are planning on Saturday night, the first official night of the event, will likely involve some casual drinking, but will also be, to any casual visual examination, drug free and fit for family presence.

Good news, though I talked to my parents and they dont even care. I might come but its a bit of a drive to convince my family to. I will try to, though.

Except that net court!

I can't wait; this will be my first comp since, umm, last year. Hell. Total prep for worlds.

Jon, I'm staying Thursday night with my cousin in Manhattan. I'll join y'all Friday for the car show.

Cheers!

Well, the article isn't brilliant, but considering how bad I am in interviews I think it turned out pretty good. I think that I need to develope a sort of interview script for my future forays into the world of media exposure. Anyone out there good with that sort of thing? I could use the help...

Hell Yes,

I'm proud to say I've been kicking with NYFA for years.

And NYFA will be representing at the Spike & Shred again this year.

Its true that I haven't been in to the city very much in the last half year. And I miss those guys. But when the Spike & Shred is behind us for the year again I'm sure I'll be in the city a little more often. I like New York in June, how about you?

Memorial Day weekend!?!?! No school Monday!! Where's a good beach with some good looking girls near Somerset? Can anyone recommend one for after the tourney?

Haha the water is going to be like 40 degrees but I don't care. I need me a good Jersey girl. Or even a cute New Yorker.

I'm sure you'll find one at this Jam, Caleb.

I got place to crash if anyone needs some floor space. Probably 1-2 people at most.

Update:

For any of you coming in from out of town who don't know where to go, y'all had better use mapquest:

The event site is:
the intersection of East Main Street and Grove Street in Somerville, NJ 08876. Large granite courthouse, Greek-style columns, a domed roof with a gold statue of justice on top, can't really miss it.

Ministry of Silly Walks secret headquarters (Jack's place) is at 17 Doughty Street, Somerville, NJ 08876.
