of course i voted for footbag, buuuuuuuuuuut...

parkour is actually waaay cooler than footbag!
take a look at what they are doing - it's so amazing!

OHHH yeah I've seen that on here before. It was called 'Russian Street Climbing'. Yeah that's pretty neat. It's adventurous to say the least. I think I'd be petrified of breaking every bone in my body, but I'm sure you get over that after training.

Sorry to be off topic, but that was sweet! When they were jumping over and through those bars, it reminded me of when I was at a park with some kids, playing like "don't-touch-the-gravel tag" or whatever you want to call it. I was up ontop of the monkey bars and saw the kid that was "it" and tried to swing through the bars, onto the wood and run away, and I hit my chin off the bar in the process...

That made me realize that I was finally too big to do that anymore.

Anyways, I bet they did the same thing and worse doing all of those tricks.

Woah guys, parkour is making a serious comeback - 518 to 468 at the moment. That's still 50 votes but it's half what the difference was 5 hours ago and last night when I voted (for the third time) parkour was on less than 400. We should keep voting lots if we want footbag to win.

Parkour looks cool but I do the math and expected value wise, it just looks like a bad idea to get involved. The probability (not large, but yet not small) of you getting hurt multipled by the expected loss (mean cost of health care bills + other intangible damages) outweighs the potential fun (not deterministically quantifiable, but let's estimate here). It's kind of like playing roulette. Chances are you could win big (have lots of fun) but on a long enough time line you keep it up eventually you are going to get hurt. If you play with fire you gotta know sooner or later you're going to get burned.

That's what I like about footbag, plenty of thrill, low risk of injury. From an EV (expected value) sense, it's a much better idea...

I think I just mathematically proved that footbag is better than parkour. How about that?

Whoah. Did that make a shred of sense? I am up late and somewhat delirious. I need to get to bed.

If there ever should be a shared event with both footbag and parkour, we should arrange a group fight for this

Or maybe it's just a few people (assholes) so obsessed by parkour that they caught on to the footbag hijack and were upset by it. I don't see what's so special about parkour anyway.
