He actually keeps one foot on the ground and lifts the other a few inches off the ground, but at a certain angle it looks like he floats.
The cameras record the people's reaction, then later they bring in a crane and lift him a few feet off the ground and do some slick editing by adding in the people's reactions with the crane footage. If you watch the videos, you'll never see the people's faces when they show him floating a few feet off the ground, only their backs.
thats the balducci levitation. Your not supposed to tell people how to do it.
Ed Marlo put so much time into the creation of that, Its a shame it has been exploited. But, to prove my point. How would you feel if you made the best footbag you ever made in your life. It was your pride and joy. You named it, you put a good section of your life in it. Then somone stole it. And instead of selling it they gave it away FREE to a bunch of people who would butcher it with toe scrapes galore. Thats the equivelant of what has happened to the balducci.
When I first heard that Blane was using camera tricks to do his "magic" I completely stopped watching everything he did. Seriously, how much time would it take to figure out how to do "magic" like that? Five minutes? I'm glad it was exposed because it's LAME.
I wasnt taling about the 2nd halph of his routine where he gets lifted by a mechanism i am talking about the 1st halp with real audiences that was exposed in the begining of this discussion. Blaine isnt a magician he used these camera tricks for his own benifit not the benifit of his audience. The balducii levitation was created by Ed Marlo. this is what was exposed. I could care less about his camera tricks.
but someone told you how to do it. Marlo came up with the acctual idea. I never said half his life. Im sure didnt spend half ur life on a footbag. But he did put in a good bit of time coming up with the showmanship and routine of it. Oh well, just letting you know. If something like this came up in a magic forum it would be deleted for "exposure".
