This was meant to just be some shred with music over the top... then I got carried away and edited to the music and everything. In hindsight I wish I had chosen better backgrounds and chosen combos etc to go with the music, but feedback is welcome on both the editing and the shred

Nice Vid mate,

loved the drifters, esp alpine drift (cant remember if it was pdx). whirls were cool also (esp blurry and step ss).

Good shit. Don't think I'd seen any footage of you before, perhaps in the old BCS vid. You have a nice style. Only suggestion is work on the right hand monkey claw (got that term from Ian).

I just recently got a splint for my hand, so when I try to 'claw' it doesnt let me, in fact it kinda hurts. So hopefully I will get rid of mine (also right hand).

Wow Jamie! So much improvement! ITs huge since i saw you in Melbourne last!

Form on alot of stuff is looking heaps better, esp Drifters, they still look very easy for you but the dexing window looks nicer IMO.
Really nice combos in there with stepping out of whatever, esp. out of Pdx Drifter! nice!
One criticism if you dont mind, is things like Blurry and Stepping Whirl, although at first i thought they were unclean, they actually seem fine when i frame by frame them, but maybe the whirl dexes could be widened a little bit, just so people dont think 'the' when they see them? I mean im no expert on whirls and shit but just a thought.

Overall everything looks cool, except maybe some spinning stuff but you said you want to work on that alot. You definitely shouldnt be playing with guilts now!! Just throw in some more Pixie and Atomic shuffle, DLOs and Eggbeaters, you will rock the house.

I completely agree with the whirls. I went frame by frame to check too

I only started skooling whirls recently and I have a long way to go with them.

Pixie and Atomic shuffle, DLOs and Eggbeaters

all the stuff I suck at

oh except for atomic, but that's rather energy-heavy still and legbeater and tap are pretty much the only atomic moves I can easily string consistently without too much exertion. Pixies I don't really do... but I've just started skooling fairies too so they shouldn't be too far away, the movement is really natural for me. DLO's I'm just starting to skool also, and eggbeaters I've only learned recently, should skool those too, thx for the tips

btw just played guiltless for about 20 mins at the end of a drilling session... went well, got 3 or 4 strings over 15 contacts and regular strings around 10 contacts

Lol this is a contradictory post.

bwhirl bsos + step whirl bsos in 1 string was MASSIVE.
As I said, the most impressive was 11 tripless.
2nd most impressive was probably food processor! That or jani walker! Wtf man how do you pick up these hard as sets so easily? WOAH

Spot on. Definatly not over edited. The start I didn't really notice any editing, but later I noticed a lot more, the strobe was super sweet and so was the quick cutting and the clips of you standing round were VERY good build up

Edit: I duno if it's just me watching a lot of guiltless shred lately, or the fact that I have stopped playing tiltless recently, but the tilts look really out of palce in ur game, I think they are begging to be dropped dude, ur BOPs are definatly good enough to support ur shuffel and big moves.
Also, don't let anyone tell you that you can't hit ANY 2add moves, you can play however you like, and you know the 2adds that don't look cool (legovers, clippers, etc) and the ones that do (bubba etc), I think so long as a players aim is to make his game look good, he will naturally drop most 2adds, which is why so many people play guiltless.

crazy improvement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the whirl combo run and 11 tripless and big moves.

editing was pretty basic but suited the vid. Some different transitions would have looked better.

More ducks/dives! I love the dynos, they look sweet. More flip toe and LOTS OF PIXIES!!!

when I got to that part in the song, I just knew it couldn't be shred.

It's not just you, the tilts are ugly as all heck and yes, I'm taking them out

I'm forcing myself to go guiltless in my sessions... so... I guess you could say I'm guiltless now! w00t!

Temp at the moment would be.. about... 5-25 celcius I guess. Which is about 40-80 farenheit(sp?) But in summer it can get up to 45 celcius which is like, 115 farenheit I think.

Wow, Great Video! I really loved it. Thought the editing was great. The combos, if not right on the beat, went well with the music, both the fast parts and the slow-mo parts. I thought it was so good, overall, the combos, the music, and how well the style went with the music, that I watched it like 5 times in a row. I don't usually do that...

Yeah, your combos are cool combos. I agree with Ian P. that your whirls are okay but would be cooler if they were deeper.

I don't really like to offer recommendations too often, but I think your game is just screeming for some more rotating combos. Try something like drifter > dyno > drifter > dyno. I know its all on one side, but thats the point... combos where you do several tricks in a row while rotating all in one direction, to mix in with all those combos, (combos you do really well!) that go back-and-forth side-to-side across your body. Try just drifter > osis > drifter > osis, to work up to it. I mean, you can already do all those tricks well... you ought to be able to link them in that way too.

Spinning Osis. .... Spinning Osis is a move of that nature, a good rotating move, pretty easy, a bail really for lots of people, that I think could benefit the games of lots of great shufflers I know. I think it links nicely with lots of trick like drifter and paradox whirl for example. Like the drifter > dyno example above, try spinning osis > paradox whirl > spinning osis > paradox whirl. Or drifter > spinning osis > paradox whirl. See how in a combo of three tricks you do two full rotations? And two of those tricks you already bust all over the place! And I think that adding that kind of rotation to the way you play now, ya know, a little bit inbetween the back-and-forth combos, well, it would be a good way to change up your rhythm a bit, and its cool to have different rhythms (like in your video, with the regular fast parts and the slow-mo parts in-between!)

Its fun to do combos where you alot all in one direction for a time! (by spin I don't mean strictly "spinning tricks" but just combos that tend to mostly be of tricks that go across your body in front in one direction [say, from the left side of your body to the right] and behind your back in the other direction [right to left, duh], [I guess "spinning" tricks really do both of those things in one move, and anything with an osis does at least half {the behind-your-back part} of that]).

Wow, I just about outdid myself with parentheses in that paragraph; quoted terms within parentheses within parentheses. I just didn't end it to well, what with nothing between that last pair of punctuations...

Yes, seriously about a year and a half. I was playing on my own for a year before that just fooling around occassionally. By the time i went to aus champs I could do strings about 3 contacts with butterfly far legover and mirage, all one sided. that was february 2005. I've been playing seriously since then, so 15 months.
