I try not to constrain myself with the add system. I do tricks that feel cool.

I do think I am the only one.

I think being capable of playing guiltless is important - rather than actually playing guiltless. I also feel that when you're playing in a circle you should push yourself. I have left circles because I was playing with somebody who would hit 50+ contact tiltless runs every time they got the bag with no hard moves. That's boring and disrespectful in my opinion - especially since the person in question was clearly capable of hitting much harder runs - and the fact that he counted how many props he got each session was also very annoying. I tend to think that if you're in a circle with people and constantly hitting 30+ runs than you're going way too easy. Hence I try to play at a challenging level. However if I'm doing a demo for a non footbagger I won't worry about challenging myself or adds at all - infact i'll make a point of only hitting moves I am comfortable with.

So I think if you play to challenge yourself eventually you'll get to a stage where you can play guiltless if you want. "guiltless" is really a fairly abstract line - there's certainly some grey area and I think playing without bails is a much better asperiation (ie. intenting to hit every move rather than reacting to bad sets etc.)

I guess I didn't say what I really meant. I do play only guiltless, but not on a whole. When I play in a circle, I usually try to stay guiltless, but if I go into some 2s I really don't sweat it.

But I never bust straight tiltless, unless I'm struggling or tired. I agree that busting under your level on purpose in a circle can be lame. But sometimes if a move feel good, I do it, I just try not to devalue them based on add count. I'm sure you understand where I'm coming from.

Plus, why isn't everyone pushing for tripless!

I definitely play to impress people. But even the silly tiltless tricks impress people. I think rather than focusing on achieving guiltless shred, one should focus on having good style and form and do what ever feels good. Like...freestyle almost.

I dunno, I'm not in a hurry to get to guiltless. I mean, I like doing 3 add combos and stuff, but I don't really feel like getting into straight up guiltless shred until I feel that my tiltless is phenomenal.
