Anybody watched it? Finland frikking won for the first time!!!!

292 points - someone try to beat that next year

Was this the first heavy metal song ever to compete in Eurovisions? Lordi was way different than the other artists, I bet that's why they won. Pop sucks - Hurray for Lordi!

yeah, i think it was the first metal song ever. but i remember that a few years ago, i think around 5 or 6, a german band called "knorkator" stepped inot competition for the ticket to go too the song contest, but they got only second, and then we sund the same as every year, some blind women probably.... and that said band is also... kinda metal, more trash, and wierd lyrics, and wierd voice... anyway.... hooray for lordi!

Yeah, there's a whole sub-culture of Eurovision watchers here in Australia. Like Jeremy said, it's usually centered around drinking games and such.

That wasn't a metal song at all. It was more like an 80s rock with hardcore vocals.

It was fun watching them win, but it still felt like a bad joke

80s rock? lol. Actually the genre is called "monster metal" it's not heavy metal, but it's metal alright.

It's only called monster rock because they wear those costumes. And I think that's stupid. That song is soooooo basic heavy rock song.

But good thing they won, now Finland needs to put all tax money to next year Euovisions!

On Friday the world record of karaoke singing was made in Helsinki with this song

about 80000 people were singing Hard Rock Hallelujah at the site in Helsinki. It was at a party for the band for winning the Eurovisions.
I saw it on TV, it was pretty huge - or should I say loud.
