Sooo, you feeling old(er) now? Nice job on all the torques & glo. How is the flip torque & flip glo? How are the new bags? I still need to break in my new mini Abshire’s!

Couple of challenges:
Clip> op clip rpt x25
Infinities x15
Osis>osis x30

Couple of drills for you:
Clip>Butterfly>Ripwalk>Ripwalk>clip>butterfly rpt (omit clip to add to the challenge)
Butterfly x3>osis x2 rpt

“…practice, practice, practice. I know I will,” Kenny Shults.

We will kick soon! Ttyl. :D

I don't really feel older, but I feel out of it more. Today was the first time I've shredded in probably a week. Felt good, warmed up with my newer Pengbag and got a couple of really long consecutive kicks. She's breakin in quite well, but it will still take awhile before she's choice. After warm up I started tiltless/guiltess runs. Lots of mirages, legovers and butteflies. Started trying to get pdx symp mirage, got it once flip, but my legs just don't like doing the movements at the moment. Did a couple of sets with torques, there getting better, I got it flip once and I was exstatic. Tried a couple of more time and didn't get it again. Didn't work on dlo's today.

Mike, did you mean dlo's when you put glo's?

Got two new move's today;
datw 8O
heel ripwalk (heelwalk???)

It was sweet hitting datw, I was foolin around with atw both ways with my strong side, then decided to try datw and got it first try 8O ! 8O ! 8O ! 8O ! The heelwalk took me a couple of tries to get, the heel delay is such a stylee move. I almost got heel hopover, I've been working on that one for awhile.

Mike thanks for the challenges. For the clip > clip rpt; today the most I got was ten. For infinity I got 11. Haven't tried the osis > osis X 30 yet because the most I've been able to hit recently is averaging around 15. Thanks for the drills, I'll try them out tomorrow if I get the chance.

My new Clima's got here yesturday. They're SWEET!!!!!!!! More comfortable than the one's I have now. Half a size bigger, so they actually fit and don't hurt my toes when I first put them on. They're all white, with grey/black fins, black/red soles. They are a beautiful shoe. When I get the modded I'll post pics.

Time for a gallon of water and a nice rest.

P.S. Mike when do you want to get together and kick?

EDIT: Just got 16 clip > clip rpt. Today's osis record 10, stepped on flip foot and slighty twisted it. Icing now, and It feel's better already.

Well I didn't play today, which sucked. But I did get the fins pulled off of my new pair of Clima's, only a couple of tears in both shoes big plus compared to my first pair  . Haven't gotten the silicone on 'em yet, might do that tomorrow if I'm not worn out from my driving class. 3 hours straight of nothing but driving. I'm gonna be EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohhh well, I think I'n gonna kick now.

EDIT: I got one of the 2 drills Mike challenged me to a couple of days ago. I got the butterfly x3 > osis x2, I got it 3 times in a row, then twice the next time around.

This week has felt like it's been going on forever and yet its only the second of the week!!!!

Did a little circle kicking today. It was kool, tho there were only three peeps kickin. I did a lot of basic stalls, some spinning, ducking/diving, rakes, mirages and flyers. The two guys that I was kicking with could only do flying clippers but they are getting better. One of them could do flying clipper BSOS, it was cool. Out of it all I got one new trick, heel hopover! 8O ! 8O ! 8O ! 8O . I've been trying that move forever, it took me two tries and I got it. Almost came close to getting heel delay ripwalk in pants also.

When I get home, I'll take some pics of my new Clima's and post them. I'll also post them in here as well. Time to get back to work!!!!

I wasn't planning on kicking when I got home but I did. Mainly working on the challenges from Mike.

 clip > clip rpt = 15
 infinity = 13
 osis = 0, didn't try'em

I also worked on one of the drills:

 butterfly > rip > rip > clip > butterfly = I got all the way to the clipper, than I dropped it.

I worked more on my ripwalks:

 rip > rip rpt = X 6 8O :!: 8O :!: 8O :!:
I decided that the last thing I do today was work on rips, at first I was getting three in a row pretty consistently. Then my last run I pulled out the 6 and went "HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and put my bag down next to my others and sat down to type this. I'm so stoked from hitting that, that I think it will take me awhile to fall asleep tonight.

oh yea, here are my new Clima's and my crank, the first pic of my crank is my strongside, the second is my flipside:

thanx mahhkohh.

Haven't really shredded lately. I had a little session last night in my bball shorts and my lavers. The only real highlight would have been the 6 ss osii, and my drill: osis > ss osis > op osis > ss osis > op osis > ss osis rpt. This was really fun to do but at the end of it all your too dizzy to try anything out of them.

I'm still (sort of) working on the challenges from Mike. I'll get one or two of them before we get together and kick.

I've been playing on and off for the past two weeks. Unfortunately not enough though. Fortunately skool is almost over, got a couple of days for finals next week and I'm done. Then summer semester starts, 1 class, early in da morning. Hopefully I can get a job that doesn't take up too much of my time for I can kick awhile. I have already set some goals for this summer:
 whirl: both sides
 swirl: flipside and a better strongside
 ducking and diving: flipside
 torque: mostly flipside, better strongside
 blur: flipside, more consistent strongside
 stepping ss mirage (nickname?): flipside, more consistent
strongside
 ripped warrior: both sides

Hopefull I'll get the chance to get these!!!

Yesturday I kicked for probably 50 minutes put together. I worked on swirls strongside and ducking both sides. My strong swirls are getting better and so are my reverse swirls. The reverse swirl is by far the easier of the two for me right now, but regular is getting better. For ducking, I decided to work my flipside and actually got it. I sealed it with doing ducking clip > ducking clip > ducking clip > catch. When I pulled that I was like holy crap!!!!!!! 8O . That was the first time that I actually got a really good fli ducking clip. After that I just kept on working the two. I also started to work my sick 3 for the may competition. I have two different one's I can do, but the one I would really like to do is the one that needs all of the work, fortunately I got till the 31st to practice and get it on video. Lately I've been kicking/shredding in both my clima's and laver's. When I started to use my laver's again I was like why'd I quit using them, then I used my clima's and that answered my question for me.

Hopefully after I get my chores done when I get home I can have a good session outside for a change. Inside I can only play for about a half an hour before it gets to hot and I'm soaked. Today it's not that hot out so it should be a good day to to shred outside.

Well, I've been shredding since about 2:30 and it's been an awesome shred. I got my sick three done and I've been able to get it pretty consistently now. Here are some highlights from the rest of my session:

Swirl > rev swirl > diving clip > ripwalk > pdx mirage

Diving clip > rev swirl > ripwalk > ripwalk

Infinity X 13: close to getting that challenge done
Clip > clip X 17 (I think)

Ss osis X 8
Symp mirage > op symp mirage > butterfly > op butterfly

Toe > osis > ss osis > ss butterfly > op osis > ss osis > ss butterfly: rpt

I'm so close to getting ripped warrior, I just need to work on the end butterfly. I'm so CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

All of the mirage with the same leg doing the dex, almost got flipside too.

That's about it, had lots of fun after I was able to get my sick 3 down pat (pretty close). After that I had a usual day of shredding.

Well it's been awhile since I've posted here, but I have a good reason.... FINALS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 2 main finals were monday and tuesday, fortunatly they were easy, then wed all I had to do was show my portfolio to my art instructor, again real easy! All week I was working on swirls. I was working on them at home, the bus stop, work, and my art klass. My rev swirl is excellent, I can hit 8 out of 10 tries, and reg swirls are about 5 out of 10. But they are getting better! I also got a personal record for rev swirl = 3. Three in a row, first tried that at my bus stop and got it like three times, then a couple of more tries at home. It was sweet.

Oky enough about the past, I did some kicking today about a half an hours worth. Nothing to big except RIPPED WARRIOR!!!!!!!!!! I was working on stepping and every now and then I would get a really high set, which for me is almost a miracle becuase my stepping set is about avg. So I decided to try it and got it clean, I felt it brush my neck when it started to decend. I even sealed it!! Ok so here's all that happened today:

Ripped warrior > osis > infinity > osis > ripwalk

symp mirage > op symp mirage > op symp mirage: I footed it once but missed it every time I tried it again.

stepping ss mirage > symp mirage > op symp mirage: came so close to getting the op symp mirage. I will be getting this set soon!

blur: getting better: I slowed myself down and I was getting them pretty easily.

stepping ss mirage: getting better on it too. For some reason I couldn't slow my self down when doing it. Guess I need a little it more practice!

flip blur: got the motion down, need a higher set to get it.

flip step ss mirage: I kinda/sort of got the motion down, again need a higher set!

Thats about it, now I feel really tired and thirsty. Gonna get me another cold glass of water and relax a little before I hit the sack! Also I finished my first bag yesturday, came out pretty good, one panel's gather loosened too much sometime before I finally got it finished, and that one panel makes the bag look lopsided. Ohh well, next time I'll be a little more careful and pay attention more. The bag is posted in the "Bags I've (any stitcher here) Made." It's the yellow and blue one. Time to get my drink and get some sleep.

Did a little kicking today. I had to redo my sick 3, you could hardly see it, but the new one you can definately see!!!

Highlights:

rev swirl > ripwalk > osis > ducking clip > ss butterfly
ducking osis > rev swirl > swirl > ducking clip
osis > osis X 24
ducking clip > osis > ducking clip > osis
pdx illusion, 1st and only time
dada > dada > infinty > osis > diving clip
symp mirage > butterfly > dada > dada > butterfly > osis
dada > dada > ripwalk, tried it but never got the ripwalk
whirl, flipside is stronger than strongside
pdx whirl, a couple of times
blurry whirl, once, all the other tries I was hitting my calf and knocking
the bag up

Thats it, I'm done for today. I don't want to wear myself out for tomorrow's kick with half of the Unity team. Ohh yea, this was all done in my Laver's instead of my clima's, which I shoud've used, I missed them so much!!!!!!!

May 18

Yesturday had an excellent shred with Mike and a new guy Steven. Steven has only been playing for couple of months if my memory serves me right.

Steven:
Has pretty good control on his kicks. He has really good control going from toe > toe. He can also hit illusions and mirages. Still needs lots of work, but he is getting better. In the 5 hr kick we had, he started to get mirages a lot easier than when we started. He also started to get clippers, he could get 2 clippers on his strong-side, and he could get 1 on his weak-side. He's a fast learner, and seems really dedicated.

Mike:
He's the same as usual. He's been working on his weak-side quite a bit. He was hitting a lot of long tiltless runs, and when I say long I mean long. His longest was probably somewhere around 30 contacts, all tiltless. He was hitting a couple of really good drills, I think it was pdx mirage > symple dlo > something > symple dlo. He also has been hitting downtime legover > downtime legover, which in turn has helped his pixie quite a bit. His pixie sets are really getting better than from the last time we kicked, especially his flipside.

Myself:
Had a really good session. I was able to hit my sick 3 even cleaner then when I first hit it on vid! I had a couple of really good runs, *new personal record for string length-----------21.* My longest ever! In a lot of my strings I had to throw in quite a bit of stepping. *Stepping is my favorite set.* Also got a new combo that I threw in mid-run, ....butterfly > torque > ripwalk.... I was stoked, thats the first time I've been able to get something other than an osis or butterfly out of torque.

We had a good time, while we were there a juggling group stopped by and was having a little jam of their own. After we were done, Mike and Steven went over and did a little juggling. Mike is pretty good with 3-ball, Steven is pretty good with a chinese-yo yo. It was a fun night!

Here's 2 pics, the first one is Mike hitting a dlo, the second is Steven hitting a flip illusion (I think)

Nothing new in the kicking department, but I did get my 3rd bag done today. It turned out tiny, really tiny, but it is the best looking bag that I've made do far. The colors I used was Graphite and Bone.

Haven't kicked since saturday, didn't do anything worth posting, but I have been stitching like mad! Since then I've gotten 3 bags done. Here's my most recent one numba 4 aka the everlasting gobstopper
Image
It came out bigger than numba 3, but not by much. It's the colors, Ivory, Graphite, and Navy. For filler, well it's a secret! I'll probably kick tomorrow, and wed. Thats if my pals call me or send me an email saying that we're on for wed. I sure hope someone does get in touch, last wed was a great shred!

Well it's been awhile, so I guess I'll update this.

Wed, May 24

Had another great session at Encanto Park. Met another new guy, Victor. He's ok, he can toe stall ok on his strong side, and He can barely get it on his flip. The one thing that was impressive was the he got one thousand something consecutive kicks! The only tricks he could do was a crispy pendelum, and flyers. We were working with him on getting his toes pointed straight for He can set them straight up instead of to the side.

Mike was an animol, he was hitting great tiltless runs. He was doing good. His flip side has gotten quite a bit stronger than when we first met!

I had a decent session. It took me forever to warm up, probably seeing as I only played once, and not that hard, since last Wed. Can't remember what I did

Sat, May 27

Finally got around to doing the article/shred. It's was about time too! There was 5 of us that were there. Johnny B, Sean M, Mike, myself and Ken Somolinos. Unfortunatley none of the new guys were able to make it. We all had a good time. Played for like 5 1/2 hours.

Johnny, was doing pretty good. He didn't burn himself out like he normally does! He was hitting some good runs, He would normally try a combo once then pass it because every now and then He tends to forgat about everyone else. It's sad!

Sean, didn't seem like he was up to standard. He was doing a lot better when we were down for the Founder's Dat event. Other than that, He got a couple of good runs in. I don't know hoe he can hit anything moving so fast, He "rushes" everything, but thats how he plays and I won't try to speed up my game too find out!

Mike, was doing the same as usual. I know it's the same thing over and over but it's the truth! He got some really good tips from Ken about Dyno, DLO and Eggbeater. After a couple of tries at all of them, He was getting them better. Dyno and DLO are trickes Mike likes to use in his runs, and it showed!

Myself, had a really good session. It's always fun to kick with others! Got a couple of new tricks, flip blur and flip diving clip. It was only the second time ever really trying flip blur and I was able to get it 3 times. It was the first time trying flip diving clip, and got it after, I think, the second try. It was a good feeling when I got those two moves. Ken gave me some advice on my torques, it really helped. I'm just gonna have to work the hell out of them.

Ken, well what can I say, all I really can say is that he's an ANIMOL!!!!!!!!! He just keeps getting better and better.

Ken, Mike and myself kicked the longest. We first kicked for about 2 hours or so at a tennis court. Then we went back to Johnny's had some lunch and relaxed in the spa. Since we live so far away, Mike and Myself, we were ready to kick ALL DAY!!!! And we almost did. To finish the day off, Ken decided to try to get a 30 contact string. In the end he got 43 contacts. It was an excellent run!!!!!

On a side note, I have the video all made up and stuff, just need to send it to Ken to see if it's alright to post here.

Wed, May 31

Had a skooling session. Decided to try my hand at pixie's and atomic's. For me, atomic's a lot easier. I was just working on getting the movement down. Pixie is going to kill me, I like the way it looks and everything you can do out of it, my inspiration came from Ken. I'm gonna work on pixie all summer. 3 out of 10 tries I'll would get a decent set, for pixie. Atomic's was a lot better than that. 6 out of 8 tries I would get a decent set. I'm gonna drill the CRAP out of both of these this summer!

Mon June 5th

Had a good session after my first day of klass. Worked on my pixie and atomic sets. Had a lot of fun though even playing inside it gets hot enough to sweat a river!

Highlights:

Dimwalk ( 8O first time really clean) > butterfly > ducking clip > blur
Smear ( 8O first time hit) > symp mirage > butterfly > rip
Infinity > dyno (first time in a run, flip is strong) > drop on weak dyno

Atomsmasher
Muted atomic legover
Atomic Butterfly

Hit one of my best runs on Sunday:
rev swirl > butterfly > ripwalk > osis > rev swirl > ducking clip > infinity > drop on swirl

Tue June 6th

Happy Beast Day. Unfortunately I can't do anything above 4 add's right now! Ohh well.

Lots of Pixie and Atomic work lately.

Highlights:
Smear
Dimwalk

Working on technique, trying to get a better set. Not very consistent, yet!

Atomsmasher
Atomic butterfly

I have a better technique and set with these than I do with my Pixie's.

Atomsmasher (finally sealed) > infinity > osis > stepping mirage drop
Atomic butterfly (Finally sealed) > ss butterfly > osis > ripwalk > pdx mirage drop

That's about it. I was trying to get both Pixie and Atomic sets in the middle of one of my runs. Never worked, guess I need more work with them!

Fri. June 9

Haven't kicked since Tuesday. Haven't really felt up to it, don't know why either! Had a little session today, after some major debating if I should or not! Unfortunately I did have a session.

Highlights:
Dimwalk = 3 or 4
Tapping = 3 or 4
Atomic Butterfly = 2 or 3, last one slightly twisted strongside ankle

3 min break!

Dyno bs
pdx dyno (footed once, came close the rest of the time)

best run
butterfly > ss butterfly > op butterfly > ss butterfly > dyno > butterfly > ripwalk > dyno (drop)

symp mirage > butterfly > ripwalk > pdx mirage > symp mirage (drop)

symp mirage > butterfly > torque > ss butterfly > ripwalk (drop)

infinity > osis > ss butterfly > torque > ss butterfly > blur (drop)

The two torques I hit were by far the cleanest and easiest one's I've ever hit! Thanks Ken for the advice!

Sun June 11

Had a really good session. Started to skool my pixies/atomics and dynos. I also threw in for the fun of rev whirls.

Highlights:
Pixie = Losing what little I had, almost to the point of no return!
Atomic = Still can get the set, I've lost a little since I twisted my ankle!
Dyno = bs, bsos, and pdx (footed on one side)
rev whirl = sort of bs, still need some work on flip
whirl = flip side's the only one I can get, also footed pdx

A couple of runs:

datw (out/in) > datw (in/out) > butterfly > far lo > clip > pdx mirage > symp mirage (drop)

Infinity > dyno > ss butterfly > dyno > infinty > ripwalk (drop)

and a couple of other runs I can't remember!

Had a pretty good session today. Even though I don't have any real motivation right now.

Highlights:
rev whirl bs
far rev whirl (sealed)
blurry rev whirl (sealed it first try 8O :D )
diving butter > ducking butter > op butter > something
ducking butter > osis > ss butterfly > dyno
infinity > dyno > dyno
far dyno (footed)

I finished my latest bag yesturday, it's 55ish grams, royal and bone for colors.
Image
I like it, it's really really soft! Anyone wants to trade pm me.

Did some more shredding:
symp mirage > butter > op butter > osis > zulu clip > ss butter
ducking butter > osis > ss butter > far rev whirl > osis > blurry rev whirl > op butter
rip > ss butter > rev whirl > op butter > rip > osis > blurry rev whirl
diving butter > ducking butter > osis > ss butter > stepping ss mirage
infinity> lo > butter > lo > symp mirage > something

and a couple of other runs I can't remember.
